<text>Photosynthesis is the fundamental basis in green plants, and the principal organ of photosynthesis is leaf. On the basis of water requirements or adaptations, as angiosperm leaves, Anthuriums require abundant soil water and relatively humid atmosphere. To identify the morphological characteristic of leaves in Anthurium, the transverses section was conducted. Two factors were tested in this experiment: 1) mist treatment (intermittent mist and control/without mist) and 2) the type of medium planting (bark and rockwool). For observation on microscopic differences, the leaves were put on the Auto Tissue Processor ROTEX and embedded the sample in a Hardener Resin (Technovit 7100), then the block-samples were sectioned in the Microtom machine at 5 um. The results of transverses section showed that the leaves of Anthurium with intermittent mist treatment, under both rock wool and bark medium thicker than control. In this experiment, the intermittent mist treatment affected the leaf structure of Anthurium andraenum. The intercellular space with connected to the outer atmosphere through the stomata was drastically increased by intermittent mist treatment which promoted transpiration, rapid gas exchange and photosynthesis.</text>

<text>The operation of the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) can be optimized by controlling the dissolved oxygen concentration, the dosage of external carbon, nitrification and denitrification, and the phase length of aeration (fills and react period). In this work, the analyses and tested with open loop identification the effect of fill and react period change on the performance of the SBR were studied. The process dynamic has been tested to determine the effect of Fill (tf) and React (tr)period changes on soluble substrate (Ss), soluble intermediate product (Ps), inert substrate (Si), particulate organics concentration (Xs), active biomass concentration (Xa), inert biomass concentration (Xi), the total biomass concentration (Xto) and the effluent chemical oxygen demand (COD) concentration in the SBR. In all simulations the total Fill and React time were set at 6 h, with the Fill time varied at 0.5 h, 1 h, 1.5 h, 2 h, 2.5 h, 3 h, and the corresponding react time set at 5.5 h, 5 h, 4.5 h, 4 h, 3.5 h, and 3 h, respectively. Keywords: fill time and reaction time, sequencing batch reactor, wastewater treatment</text>

<text>The study of starch seeds durian (Durio zibethinus) effect as the filler material on tensile strength and biodegradation of polymers polystyrene (PS)  has been done. In this study, the sample was made with 5 variations of Polystyrene:Starch:glycerol as follows:(95:0:5; 90:5:5; 85:10:5; 80:15:5 and 75:20:5) %. The samples were made using the hotpress machine and the ASTM D368 standard. The mechanical properties (tensile strength) were tested using a tensile tester. The testing for functional groups were using FT-IR. The surface morphology was obtained by AFM and biodegradation through burial the samples for 40 days (time of observation 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 weeks). As the results showed that the tensile strength values are influenced by variations in the composition of composite materials. The optimum tensile strength values were obtained on samples of PS-2 (90% of PS: 5% of Starch: 5% of glycerol) with a tensile strength value of 0.55 kgf / mm². Based on the analysis of functional groups, it was found that there is no chemical reaction, which is characterized by the emergence of new functional groups on the composite sample. The surface morphology observation showed that the variation does not affect the relative composition of the surface morphology of the samples. Biodegradation test results showed that the samples of PS-4 and PS-5 began degraded after burial for 4 weeks.</text>

<text>Abstract - Gold and silver became the most widely accepted and circulated form of money in the medieval world. Even though paper money was introduced, state banks continued to store their equivalent in gold. In 1971 the US government abolished the Bretton Woods system and exchanged with the floating or fiat economy system which soon became the standard currency system worldwide. Many economies felt compelled to adopt the new US currency system because of the strength of the all-dominating American dollar and criticism was sparse. Disappointingly, no Muslim government produced legal rulings (fatwas) which rejected the legality of the fiat system and demanded the return to gold and silver backed currency. The single fatwa issued in Saudi Arabia in 1985 concluded that paper currency had completely replaced gold and silver and that all previous Islamic legal rulings issued on gold and silver were now applicable to paper currency. This paper study critically and evaluates the consequences of the Muslim intellectuals and Fiqh Academies‟ approval of substitution of gold and silver by banknotes on the Muslims and their nations.</text>

Measurement target is for investigate allegations of contaminant substances are disposed by the public at these locations based on the response of the magnetic and electric fields. The tools used are the T-VLF device with two electrodes and using three stations, namely the transmitter JJF4 Japan, NWC Australia and UMS Moscow. Broad expanse of measurements on L1 and L2 is 200 m, L3 and L4 is 150 m. There are 74 measuring points with spacing of 10 m. The result of this experiment showed that the four layers can be divided into two layers with different resistivity values. The first layer at a depth of 0-15 m with apparent resistivity of 2-25 Ωm, allegedly at this layer contained the contaminant substances. The second layer at a depth of 15 m with apparent resistivity of 25-101 Ωm, in this layer are water-resistant coating that can withstand water into and out of the landfill.</text>

<text>The theory of biological rectification originated from the study of physiological processes of the human body. Biological processes are defined by certain structures; biological rectification is achieved by biological structures too. These rectifying biological structures are the biological rectifying valves, a definition adopted from physics. An extension of this notion leads to a generalization of the rectification phenomena in biological systems. The practical value of this theoretical concept is widely presumed. Here we show that the loss of rectification may result in dysfunction or even destruction of the biological system, the rectification implies the simplification of biological processes, reduce the utilization of energy in biological systhems and in general can help in understanding the processes in the human body and biology better. We hope that experts of different scientific fields will probably confirm or disprove this hypothesis. </text>
