Dengan mempergunakan metode deskriptif, pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, subjek penelitian pengawas, kepala sekolah, dan guru-guru di SMK Negeri 1 Mesjid Raya, dan analisis kualitatif, penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil: 1) Perencanaan supervisi akademik yang disusun oleh pengawas sudah sesuai dengan prosedur yang ditetapkan, yaitu persiapan waktu yang tepat dan ideal, hal-hal yang akan dilakukan supervisi, teknik evaluasi yang akan diterapkan, dan juga instrumen evaluasi, dan waktu pelaksanaan supervisi;2) Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik oleh pengawas sudah efektif baik dilihat dari teknik yang digunakan, maupun prosedur pelaksanaannya, yaitu menerapkan teknik individual dan teknik berkelompok;(3) Tindak lanjut hasil supervisi akademik yang dilaksanakan pengawas dapat membantu guru mengatasi masalah yang dialaminya dengan cara memberikan arahan serta motivasi dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajaran, terlebih lagi kompetensi pedagogik, dan setiap hasil temuan yang didapat di dalam supervisi selalu dilakukan feedback atau umpan balik, yaitu dengan cara memberikan masukan hal-hal yang masih dianggap rendah, memperagakan tentang idealnya sosok guru di dalam kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan supervisi yang meliputi program, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang dihadapi kepala SMA Methodist Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan pengawas. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi, display, mengambil kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Penyusunan program supervisi dilakukan pada setiap awal tahun ajaran melalui kegiatan rapat dengan melibatkan ketua yayasan, wakil kepala sekolah, guru dan seluruh personel sekolah yang terdiri dari program tahunan dan program semester. Program yang disusun adalah rapat manajemen sekolah untuk membentuk struktur organisasi supervisi akademik, membentuk tim dan meng SK tugaskan supervisor pelaksana supervisi akademik, supervisi administratsi pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, bimbingan konseling, evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi dan melakukan tindak lanjut hasil supervisi. 2) Supervisi dilaksanakan berdasarkan jadwal yang telah ditentukan oleh tim pelaksana supervisi akademik. Sebelum melaksanakan supervisi, kepala sekolah mensosialisasikan tentang pelaksanaan supervisi dan menyiapkan instrumen pelaksanaan supervisi. Teknik supervisi yang digunakan adalah teknik individual dan kelompok meliputi kunjungan kelas, percakapan pribadi, rapat guru, diskusi sebagai proses kelompok, tukar menukar pengalaman, diskusi dan seminar. 3) Evaluasi supervisi dilaksanakan pada setiap akhir semester dengan menginformasikan kepada guru secara individual dan kelompok terlebih dahulu. Hasil evaluasi akan dipertahankan serta ditingkatkan apabila sudah mencapai tujuan, sedangkan kekurangan akan dianalisis dan mengadakan perbaikan-perbaikan dalam penyusunan program pada tahun berikutnya. 4) Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan supervisi adalah guru menanggapi secara positif tentang pelaksanaan supervisi, terjalinnya hubungan yang baik antara guru dengan guru dan kepala sekolah dengan guru dan timbulnya kesadaran guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penyusunan program, pelaksanaan program dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah pada SMPN 12 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penyusunan program supervisi pengajaran dilakukan setiap awal tahun ajaran, dalam bentuk kegiatan observasi kelas, pertemuan individu, rapat staf, bimbingan senior, workshop, pelatihan dan izin belajar. (2) Pelaksanaan supervisi; Kegiatan observasi kelas dilakukan dengan cara kepala sekolah mendatangi kelas untuk melihat secara langsung kemampuan guru mengajar. Pertemuan individu dilakukan pada saat ada guru yang melakukan pelanggaran disiplin, konflik intern baik antara guru dengan sejawat atau antara guru dengan siswa. Kegiatan workshop dijadwalkan dan dimasukkan dalam Rencana Anggaran Belanja Sekolah. Kegiatan pelatihan biasanya guru hanya sebagai partisipan, dimana kepala sekolah mengirim perwakilan guru untuk mengikuti berbagai kegiatan pelatihan, selanjutnya guru tersebut diwajibkan untuk mensosialisasikannya dalam bentuk kegiatan rapat staf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Program supervisi pengajaran disusun pada awal tahun ajaran baru yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan teknik individual yang terdiri dari observasi kelas, kunjungan kelas, dan teknik kelompok melalui rapat staff, bimbingan senior, serta pelatihan, hasil supervisi ini dapat dilihat pada instrumen supervisi standar proses yang telah diisi untuk setiap guru; (2) Pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran dengan memeriksa kelengkapan dokumen pembelajaran dengan melakukan observasi kelas tanpa pemberitahuan kepada guru untuk melihat kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar secara langsung; (3) Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pengajaran adalah masih kurangnya fasilitas pendukung termasuk buku belajar dan anggaran agar kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah lebih efektif dan efisien.Kata Kunci: Supervisi Pengajaran dan Kinerja Guru Identifier An unambiguous reference to the resource within a given context http://etd.unsyiah.ac.id//index.php?p=show_detail&id=8237 Title A name given to the resource SUPERVISI PENGAJARAN OLEH KEPALA SEKOLAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU PADA SMP NEGERI 15 BANDA ACEH
