Efektivitas herbisida dalam mengendalikan gulma sangat ditentukan oleh faktor jenis dan dosis herbisida.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis dan dosis yang tepat untuk mengendalikan gulma pada tanaman kedelai kultivar argomulyo. Jenis herbisida yang digunakan adalah: clomazone dan pendimethalin, sedangkan dosis yang digunakan adalah: 0; 0,75; 1.50; dan 2,25 kg b.a.ha-1. Weed CharacteristicABSTRACT. The effectiveness of herbicide to control weeds is determined by type and dosage of herbicide.  This research aimed was to study the accurate type and dosage of herbicide to control weeds on soybean of argomulyo cultivar. Herbicide type and dosage tested were clomazone and pendimethalin, and 0; 0.75; 1.50; and 2.25 kg a.e.ha-1 respectively. To understand the effect of both factors on the effectiveness of herbicide, Randomized Completely Block Design was employed.  The variables observed were weed control percentage, weed coverage percentage, and weed species. The result showed that application 2.25 kg a.e.ha-1 of herbicide increase the percentage of weed control on Cleome rutidospermae and Ipomoea triloba but decreases weed coverage percentage. Meanwhile pendimethalin herbicide simply raises the control percentage of Cleome rutidospermae. Br)ABSTRACT. The study on application the different dosages of glyphosate and paraquat herbicides and their effect on the growth milky weed (Calotropis gigantean) has been conducted at Experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The treatment were arranged in a completely randomized bloc design (CRD) manner with two factors. The first factor was the dosages of herbicides which were 0 kg a.i/ha, 0,4 kg a.i/ha, 0,8 kg a.i/ha, and 1,2 kg a.i/ha. The second one was the different herbicides which were glyphosate and paraquat. The result showed that the dosages of the 0,8 kg a.i/ha significantly increased the percentage of milky weed control, suppressed the height of milky weed 21 days of application (DAA), reduced the diameter of milky weed stem and decreased the dry weight of milky weed. The type of the herbicides and different dosages used interactively affected the percentage of milky weed control and the diameter of milky weed stem on 21 days of application (DAA). The paraquat herbicide applied with dosage of 1,2 kg a.i/ha significantly increased the percentage of milky weed control and suppressed the diameter of milky weed stem. Penelitian dilaksanakan Kebun Percobaan Balai Pelatihan Pertanian Saree Kecamatan Lembah Seulawah, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Provinsi Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kompos tithonia dan pupuk kandang berpengaruh terhadap perbaikan sifat-sifat kimia tanah padsolik merah kuning dan peningkatan pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai. Terjadi peningkatan pH H2O, N-total, P-tersedia, Cadd, Kdd, Mgdd, Nadd, KTK, dan Kejenuhan Basa. Penurunan terjadi pada kandungan Aldd, Hdd, Al-P, dan Fe-P. Pada pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai terjadi peningkatan tinggi tanaman (15 HST, 30 HST, 45 HST), bobot 100 biji, dan jumlah polong per tanaman. Kombinasi perlakuan 40 ton ha-1 kompos tithonia dan 10 to ha-1 pupuk kandang merupakan kombinasi perlakuan yang baik terhadap peningkatan kadar P tersedia dan pertumbuhan kedelai. This research was done by performing studies in harmonic voltage and harmonic current from four different brands of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt and uses IEEE Standard of 519-1992 as a reference in determining maximum limitation voltage and current harmonics. The result of the tests were showed that total harmonic distortion (THD) voltage at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt did not exceed the IEEE 519-1992 maximum limitation of 5%. While total harmonic distortion (THD) current at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt had exceed result range exceeding 71,2%. After using low pass RC filter as passive electronic circuit, the total harmonic distortion (THD) current was obtained for each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt, it was showed that the range of total harmonic distortion (THD) current under 14,262%. Pada dasarnya lokasi perkebunan atau lahan petani berupa perbukitan proses penyiraman tanamannya hanya mengandalkan siraman air hujan, setiap tahunnya tidak selalu sama besarnya. Ketersediaan air yang melimpah pada musim hujan belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, sehingga terjadi kelangkaan air pada musim kemarau. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembuatan lubang resapan untuk memanfaatkan air hujan seoptimal mungkin sehingga tanaman pala terhindar dari kekurangan air di musim kemarau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghitung besarnya volume air di lubang resapan biopori untuk pemanfaatan aliran permukaan dan untuk mengetahui efektifitas lubang resapan biopori terhadap pemanfaatkan aliran permukaan.Parameter yang diamati meliputi analisis sifat fisika dan kimia tanah di laboratorium, pemetaan kontur menggunakan alat waterpass, pengukuran infiltrasi menggunakan double ring infiltrometer, pembuatan lubang resapan menggunakan bor tanah dengan mengikuti kontur lahan dan arah tajuk tanaman pala. Lubang resapan dibuat secara vertikal ke dalam tanah dengan diameter 10 cm dan diameter 15 cm dengan kedalaman 80-100 cm sebagai tampungan air permukaan, serta melakukan perhitungan debit aliran permukaan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa curah hujan yang tinggi dengan kondisi lahan yang berlereng sangat mempengaruhi aliran permukaan dan laju infiltrasi yang terjadi. Semakin tinggi curah hujan maka semakin tinggi pula terjadi aliran permukaan dan infiltrasi sehingga menyebabkan air yang masuk ke dalam lubang resapan semakin tinggi. Laju penyerapan ekivalen pada masing-masing diameter lubang memiliki nilai tertinggi pada kedalaman tanah 25 cm, yaitu nilai pada lubang resapan diameter 10 cm sebesar 2,71 cm/menit sedangkan pada lubang resapan diameter 15 cm memiliki nilai laju penyerapan ekivalen sebesar 2,16 cm/menit, dengan demikian lubang resapan diameter 10 cm lebih cepat untuk menghabiskan air di dalam lubang daripada lubang resapan diameter 15 cm. Nilai debit tertinggi dalam 4 hari hujan pada diameter 10 cm yaitu pada lubang resapan 6 di hari hujan ke-3 sebesar 0,00023 m3/jam dengan volume air di dalam lubang resapan 0,01411 m3/jam sehingga diperoleh persentase air yang masuk ke dalam lubang sebesar 1,58 % sedangkan lubang resapan diameter 15 cm nilai debit tertinggi terdapat pada lubang resapan 3 dan 4 di hari hujan ke-1 sebesar 0,00163 m3/jam dengan volume 0,03548 m3/jam sehingga diperoleh persentase air yang masuk ke dalam lubang resapan sebesar 4,47 %. The objective of this research was to found the optimum concentration of honey for sex reversal of male tilapia.   The  non factorial completely randomize design was used for this research, the factor that has been examined were honey concentrations at level of  0%, 0.05 %, 0.1%, 0.15 % and 0.2 % for 24 hours submersion. The data were subjected to Anova test and followed by BNT test. The results showed that the differences of honey concentrations was significantly influence the   percentage of male tilapia (P<0.05), but did not affect significantly on the survival rates. (P>0.05). In general, the percentage of male tilapia was increased with increasing the honey concentrations, where the higher percentage of male was found at 0.2 % (81.43%), and it was different significantly with other concentrations. It is concluded that 0.2% of honey is  suitable for male tilapia sex reversal.Keywords: Honey; Sex reversal; Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus); Male; SubmersionAbstrak.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui konsentrasi madu yang efektif menghasilkan ikan nila (O. niloticus)  kelamin jantan yang paling tinggi. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial digunakan dalam penelitian ini, faktor yang diuji adalah perbedaan konsentrasi madu, yaitu 0 %(kontrol), 0,05 %, 0,1 %, 0,15 % dan 0,2% ppt selama 24 jam perendaman. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi madu berpengaruh nyata terhiadap persentase nila jantan yang dihasilkan (P<0,05), namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelulushidupan baik selama perendaman maupun pemeliharaan (P>0,05). Secara umum terlihat persentase kelamin jantan meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi madu dalam larutan perendam. Uji lanjut menggunakan BNJ memperlihatkan bahwa persentase nila jantan tertinggi dijumpai pada  konsentrasi 0,2% (81,43%±0,23), nilai ini berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan lainnya.
