This research was done by performing studies in harmonic voltage and harmonic current from four different brands of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt and uses IEEE Standard of 519-1992 as a reference in determining maximum limitation voltage and current harmonics. The result of the tests were showed that total harmonic distortion (THD) voltage at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt did not exceed the IEEE 519-1992 maximum limitation of 5%. While total harmonic distortion (THD) current at each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt had exceed result range exceeding 71,2%. After using low pass RC filter as passive electronic circuit, the total harmonic distortion (THD) current was obtained for each different brand of energy saving lamp having power rating of 8 watt, 16 watt, and 20 watt, it was showed that the range of total harmonic distortion (THD) current under 14,262%.</text>

<text>Infection caused by Mycobaterium tuberculosis exists in form of intracellular infection, which leads to lymphocyte activation. CD69 is the first lymphocyte activation marker expressed in Th1 lymphocyte, which follows by IL-12 release. Flow cytometry analysis can identify the subpopulations of lymphocytes and  intracellular cytokines such as IL-12, yet precise preparation needs to be done. This research aims to conduct optimization with four color lyse/wash flow cytometry assay system FastImmune™ FACSCalibur examination, with monoclonal antibody IL-12, CD69, CD3, and CD4 in succession uses fluorochrome PE, PerCP, FITC, and APC.To activate the lymphocytes from heparinized whole blood, we used activation agent which derives from isolated heat-killed sonicated Mycobacterium tuberculosis Beijing strain. Optimal concentration from the according activation agents is 40 mL. To determine the compensation, BDTM CompBead and blank-cell unstainning are used, but the maximum result showed by blank-cell unstainning. Each monoclonal antibody dosage of IL-12PE, CD69 PerCP, and CD3 FITC is 40 mL, while CD4 APC 5 mL. Total event lymphocyte is determined minimally by 10,000 events. With 18,510 total events and Th gated events quantity are 4,692, the result obtained is IL12-PE has 7.4% gated (347 events); CD69+ perCP/CD3+ FITC 18.2% (850 events); and CD69+ perCP/CD4+ APC 3.9%.</text>

<text>Abstract: This research aims to evaluate effect of soil plasticity index (PI) to shear strength parameters, e.i. the angle of shearing (φ) and cohesion value (c). The soil sample that to be used for the research was taken from Neuheun Village, Mesjid Raya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District. Based on AASHTO soil classification, the soil sample was Group A-7-6, wereas based on USCS soil classification, the soil was sandy clay of CL symbol. Soil specimen for Undisturbed Sample (UDS) and Disturbed Sample (DS) were 20 samples respectively, each sample was made to be three sub samples. The result of research shows there is a linier correlation of shearing angle to PI, i.e., φ = -1,3783 PI + 34,345; R2 = 0,6939 for Undisturbed Samples (UDS) and φ = -1,7089 PI + 51,963; R2 = 0,7488 for Disturbed Samples (DS). The result of research also shows there is a linier correlation of cohesion value to PI, i.e., c = - 0,0952 PI + 2,5246; R2 = 0,7489 for UDS and c = -0,142 PI + 4,3785; R2 = 0,8741 for DS. It can be conclused that shear strength parameters for all tested samples in this research influenced by soil plasticity index. The higher soil plasticity index resulted the lower Shear Strength Parameters φ and c .Keywords : shear strength parameters, soil plasticity index, undisturbed and disturbed sampleAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan nilai parameter kuat geser, yaitu: sudut geser (φ) dan nilai kohesi (c) dengan indeks plastisitas (Plasticity Index, PI) tanah.

<text>ABSTRACT. The world’s copra meal production amounted to 1.8 million tonnes in 2002 and most of it was produced in Asia. The Philippines and Indonesia contributed approximately 65% of the world’s copra meal production. The main problems of using copra meal in poultry diets are its physical properties along with its nutritional profiles. This study was conducted to determine the physical characteristics and feeding value of copra meal. Physical characteristics were determined by measuring the bulk density and water holding capacity of copra meal and a digestibility study was undertaken to investigate nutrient digestibility, jejunal digesta viscosity and apparent metabolizable energy of copra meal. A total of 28 day old male Ross chicks were given control starter and grower diets from day 1 to 35. From day 36 to 42 , the birds were fed an experimental diet. Faeces were collected for three consecutive days. Jejunal digesta was measured for viscosity and ileal digesta was used for amino acid digestibility measurements.Data indicated that bulk density and water holding capacity of copra meal were poor, being 0.49 g/cm3 and 4.69 g water / g feed respectively. Although the crude proteind and amino acids contents of copra meal were favourable to meet a broiler chicken’s requirements, their digestibilities were low and lysine digestibility being the lowest while arginine digestibility was high. Dry matter, neutral detergent fibre digestibility and apparent metabolizable energy were also low. The low digestibilities of nutrients were not due to the jejunal digesta viscosity as jejunal digesta viscosity was low.</text>

<text>Ground anchors are commonly exposed to both acidic and alkaline ground conditions depending on ground mineral content, soil/rock type, age and groundwater flow path. It is essential to understand the limitations to ground anchorage materials especially when exposed to aggressive ground conditions whilst in a stressed state. This study discusses about ground anchors and analysis of the ground anchor failure trigger by corrosion, which analysed by using difference software in previous study (ABAQUS) compare with simulation model analysed by 2D Midas/GTS. Numerical techniques may be very efficient for investigating the load transfer of ground anchors. The results of anchor failures in numerical modeling are different from previous study (field test results), practiced by first cement crack and then wire break. Recommendations are given for applying FEM (finite element method) analysis to the design of anchored stabilization systems, and also for analyzing design variables, and design loads, to achieve more efficient and cost-effective anchored stabilization systems. Several models or simulations are presented to illustrate the displacement and the load that applied to the anchor which analyzed by Midas/GTS software. However, the condition that the numbers of occurrence correspond to load of failures at the time of damages is caused as the consequence of material and model deviation</text>
