This cervid has been protected by Indonesian Government since 1999. In order to support breeding program of the species and to avoid them from extinction, itsreproductive biology such as spermatogenesis and the correlation to semen quality is important to be investigated. Therefore, the objective of this study was to examine spermatogenesis and semen quality of two adult male muntjaks during antler growth periods that consist of hard antler (H), casting (C), andvelvet antler (V). Testicular tissues and semen (ejaculates) were obtained by core needle biopsy and electroejaculation methods respectively. Testicular tissues were processed histologically and stained with periodic acid Schiff (PAS) to observe spermatogenesis whereas semen was evaluated to obtaine itsquality. The results showed that spermatogenic activities were detected in all antler periods which marked by PAS positive staining (magenta colour) of round and elongated spermatid acrosomes. In H period, spermatogenic activity was higher than those C and V periods. According to semen evaluation,motile spermatozoa were found with different concentration in all antler periods. The highest sperm concentration (x 106 spermatozoa/ml) in both of muntjaks was found in H period (506.25 ± 61.87), and slightly decreased in C (288.75 ± 37.12), and V periods (362.60 ± 17.68). These finding showed thatspermatogenesis to produce spermatozoa is taken place while muntjaks are in C and V periods with differ activities that provable with the existence of motile spermatozoa from ejaculates in both of male muntjaks. Tidak semua orang mengetahui dan memahami penyebab terjadinya penyebaran virus HIV/AIDS sehingga sebagian orang beranggapan bahwa jumlah ODHA di Indonesia sedikit. Selain itu kurangnya pengetahuan dan fasilitas kesehatan turut serta memengaruhi penyebaran virus HIVsehingga dari tahun ke tahun jumlah ODHA mengalami peningkatan. Spiritualitas bisa menjadi salah satu sumber kekuatan yang utama bagi ODHA untuk dapat membantu meringankan rasa sakit yang dialami. Sampai saat ini terapi yang dilakukan oleh ODHA belum mampu menghilangkan virus HIV secara menyeluruh, spiritualitas diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu coping bagi ODHA untuk dapat bertahan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spiritualitas pada Orang dengan HIV/AIDS (ODHA) di Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara secara mendalam dan observasi non partisipan. Pedoman wawancara mengacu pada lima aspek spiritualitas oleh Swinton dan Pattinson (dalam Gilbert, 2007). Subjek penelitian melibatkan tiga orang subjek yang memiliki karakteristik sebagai ODHA dan berdomisili di Aceh. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian spiritualitas oleh ketiga subjek berbeda-beda. S1 dan S3 menunjukkan adanya perubahan spiritualitas dalam beribadah. Berbeda dengan S2 yang tidak menunjukkan perubahan spiritualitas dalam beribadah. Tujuanpenelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran nilai spirometri pada ibu-ibu penderita batuk di KecamatanDarussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Desain penelitian bersifat deskriptif dengan metode Cross Sectionalyang dilaksanakan pada periode Juli 2012 – September 2012. Ibu-ibu yang sudah menderita batuk lebih daritiga hari diukur kekuatan mengeluarkan napas ekspirasi paksa atau Forced Expiratory Volume In One Second(FEV1), dalam menentukan jumlah sampel secara quota sampling sebanyak 40 orang. Hasil penelitiandidapatkan bahwa penderita batuk mengalami obstruksi ringan 30 orang (75%), sedang 8 orang (20%), berat2 orang (5%). This case report is purposed to evaluate one case of spontaneous parturition which ended up with vaginal delivery in one patient with preterm severe preeclampsia. We evaluate the best management which result in the best outcome for the patient and her baby. This is the case of Mrs N, 34 years old in 33-34 weeks gestational age with severe preeclampsia. When she came the blood pressure was 190/120 mmHg, protein urine +3. The blood pressure was controlled with nifedipine. The patient was given magnesium sulphate, N-acetyl cystein, and vitamin C as antioxidants. We were succeeded in completing two days of lung maturation with dexamethasone in order to give the best outcome for the baby. However, at the end, after two days of lung maturation, the patient started to enter the active phase of parturition spontaneously without labor of induction. We hypothesized that the high level of corticosteroid stimulated by the fetus initiated the process of labor. Patient delivered baby boy, 1300 grams, Apgar Score 7/8 that breathed spontaneously in room air. The patient’s condition was improving after parturition. Nifedipine, magnesium sulphate was considered the best management in pre-eclampsia.  Short course of lung maturation with dexamethasone was also considered to be beneficial for the baby. However, the initiation of parturition and the use of antioxidant as well as n-acetyl cystein in this patients was under debatable discussion. The optimum fermentation at different agitation speeds, ranging from 300 rpm to 700 rpm show that there is an optimum agitation speed gives the highest spore production. The spore production increased with increasing agitation speed from 300 rpm to 500 rpm. At the higher agitation speed the spore production dropped. The highest spore concentration (9.2x107 spores/ml) was produced in culture grown on media with agitation speed of 500 rpm. The rate of aeration effected spore production and spore productivity in the range 1.5 to 2.0 vvm, and increased the spore production from 4.7x107 to 6.0x107 spores/ml (28% increase) and 4.7x108 to 8.1 x108 spores /l/h respectively.
