Pada sitoplasma sel kelenjar mandibularis danlingualis memperlihatkan reaksi positif AB pH 2,5 dan PAS dengan intensitasreaksi lemah (+) hingga kuat (+++), sedangkan pada sekreta dalam lumenmemperlihatkan reaksi negatif (-) hingga positif dengan intensitas lemah (+)hingga kuat (+++). Pengobatan infeksi yang disebabkan oleh Staphylococcus aureus dengan antibiotik golongan beta-laktam telah menunjukkan adanya resistensi, bakteri ini disebut dengan Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Penggunaan obat tradisional saat ini makin meluas di kalangan masyarakat. Salah satu pengobatan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat adalah daun sisik naga (Drymoglossum piloselloides (L) Presl) yang diketahui memiliki efek antimikroba. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak etanol daun sisik naga terhadap MRSA. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 kali pengulangan yang terdiri dari 6 kelompok, yaitu 4 kelompok perlakuan, 1 kelompok kontrol negatif (CMC 1%) dan 1 kelompok kontrol positif (vancomycin 30 ?g). Uji daya hambat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun sisik naga dengan konsentrasi 20%, 40%, 60% dan 80% masing- masing memiliki daya hambat terhadap MRSA dengan diameter zona hambat rata-rata 10,3 mm, 12,5 mm, 13,8 mm dan 15 mm. Hasil analisa data dengan uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data terdistribusi secara normal (P > 0,05) dan uji homogenitas menunjukkan data homogen (P > 0,05). Hasil analisa data dengan uji ANOVA menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang bermakna dari ekstrak etanol daun sisik naga dalam menghambat pertumbuhan MRSA (P < 0,05) pada taraf 5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak etanol daun sisik naga dapat menghambat pertumbuhan MRSA dan konsentrasi yang paling optimal adalah 40%. Forty local buffalo farmers located in three selected sub district of Rikit Gaib, Pantan Cuaca and Dabun Gelang in Gayo Lues were visited and data or informations were collected through interview of the farmers. The data were tabulated and compared with the standard guideline of buffalo management from the Directorate General of Livestock Service (DGLS). Empat puluh empat peternak kerbau di wawancara dan observasi langsung pada tiga daerah yang berbeda yaitu Blangkejeren, Kutapanjang dan Rikit Gaib. Data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari pengukuran dan perhitungan terhadap aspek-aspek teknis pemeliharaan ternak yang mengacu kepada pedoman yang dikeluarkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Peternakan Indonesia tahun 1992, meliputi: pemuliaan dan reproduksi, makanan ternak, tatalaksana pemeliharaan, tujuan pemeliharaan dan kesehatan ternak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tatalaksana pemeliharaan kerbau di Kabupaten Gayo Lues masih rendah, yaitu 42.33 % dari standard Direktorat Jenderal Peternakan Indonesia. A total of 100 pregnant women seen at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia participated in this study. The short version of the Malaysian Oral Health Impact Profile (S-OHIP(M)) questionnaire with five-point ordinal scale that ranges from ‘never’ to ‘very often’ was used to assess the frequency of oral impacts during the previous 12 months. The majority of the respondents were Malay (96.0%), with a mean age of 29.9 years (SD 5.78). The highest education level attained by most respondents was post-secondary qualification or Diploma (39.0%). Some had formal tertiary education (27.0%). The majority of them were income earners (74.0%) and contributed to the household income. Half of the respondents were in their third trimester of pregnancy while the remaining half was either in the first or second trimester. The severity of impact experienced by the women, which is the mean S-OHIP(M) score was high at 10.43 (95% CI = 8.96, 11.90). The prevalence of impact, which is the percentage of respondents reporting ‘fairly often’ or ‘very often’ to one or more impacts, was 36.0%. Common impacts experienced by the respondents include feeling uncomfortable because food got stuck in between teeth or dentures (22.0%), feeling that oral health problems had caused bad breath (13.0%), and feeling shy because of problems with teeth, mouth or dentures (9.0%). The results also demonstrated that neither the severity nor the prevalence of impact was influenced by the women’s socio-demographic background. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksploratif, metode pengambilansampel adalah probability sampling berdasarkan teknik stratified random sampling, alat pengumpulan datadengan menggunakan kuesioner berbentuk skala likert yang dibagikan pada 90 orang siswi di SMAN 4Lampineung Banda Aceh. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif melalui analisa univariat. Hasilpenelitian diketahui faktor pertumbuhan kognitif berada pada kategori baik sebesar 96,7%, faktorperkembangan fisik berada pada kategori baik sebesar 96,7%, dan faktor nilai kultural sosial berada padakategori baik sebesar 95,6%. Secara umum diketahui bahwa persepsi citra tubuh remaja putri di SMAN 4Lampineung berada pada kategori baik sebesar 97,8%. Tujuan penelitian iniuntuk mengetahui hubungan manajemen stres dengan kualitas hidup lansia di Gampong Peuniti KecamatanBaiturrahman Banda Aceh. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan crosssectional. Teknik pengumpulan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling pada 54 responden dari120 populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada tanggal 7 sampai 10 Juli 2012. Alat pengumpulan databerupa kuesioner dalam bentuk skala likert yang terdiri dari 35 item pernyataan. Data dianalisis denganmenggunakan uji chi-square dengan confidence interval 95% dan α=0.05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkangambaran manajemen stres lansia di Gampong Peuniti secara umum berada pada kategori kurang denganfrekuensi 30 responden (55,6%) dan gambaran kualitas hidup lansia di Gampong Peuniti juga berada padakategori kurang dengan frekuensi 29 responden (53,7%) sehingga berdasarkan hasil uji statistik diketahui adahubungan antara manajemen stres dengan kualitas hidup lansia di Gampong Peuniti KecamatanBaiturrahman Banda Aceh dengan p-value = 0,000. It is important to do the testing to determine the vehicles meet the technical requirements and road-worthy. The results showed that for 1.572 vehicles which is performing emissions testing have obtained 11% that could be potentially pollute the air on vehicles that using gasoline, and 42% on vehicles that using diesel. Based on the total number of four-wheeled vehicles that performed emissions testing in the city of Banda Aceh showed that 82% environmentally friendly vehicles and 18% potentially pollute the air.
