The fibrebinder used in this research was stryrofoam which is a material from polysterene. This research was aimed at finding out the appropriate composition by weight between coconut fibre and polysterene and to find out the physical, mechanical and morphological characteristics of composite board resulted from the engineering process. The construction of composite board was started by cutting the fibres with the length of ≤ 5 mm, then dyeing them into NaOH for 4 hours. After those process, the fibres were dried and weighted. The Styrofoam was dissolved into silane before it was weighted based on its composition. After the coconut fibre and polysterene mixtures were mixed,they were poured into the composite board mold. The benefit of this composite board is that it is more water resistant. The test results for tensile, density, moisture content, and thickness swelling meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-2105-2006. The flexural strength of composite board which meets the standard is the compositions of 30:70, 40:60, and 50:50, while the compositions of 60:60 and 70:30 do not meet the standard. The experiment was conducted in Village Suak Ni, Sub District of Johan Pahlawan, District of Aceh Barat, from June to August 2010.  Soil analysis was carried out in Laboratory Soil and Plant Analysis, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Variables observed were physical (porosity and bulk density) and chemistry (pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, and base saturation) characteristics and yield of peanut. Results showed that chaff ash and mineral soil (Andisol) was highly significantly interacted on pH, and significantly interacted on N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, and base saturation, but not significantly interacted on other variables. Chaff ash exerted significant effects on total porosity, bulk density, pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, base saturation of peat, plant height 30 and 45 DAP (day after planting), filled pod percentage, empty pod percentage, weight of 100 dried grains, dried grain weight per net plot and dried grain weight per hectare, but no significant effect on plant height 15 DAP. Mineral soil exerted significant effects on porosity, bulk density, pH, N-total, P-available, K-available, CEC, base saturation, but no effects on growth and yield of peanut.Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam perubahan beberapa sifat fisika dan kimia tanah gambut serta hasil tanaman kacang tanah akibat pemberian amelioran abu sekam dan Andisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Suak Ni, Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat dan analisis tanah awal dilakukan di Laboratorium Analisis Tanah dan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2010 sampai dengan Agustus 2010. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah sifat fisika (porositas dan bulk density) dan kimia (pH, N-Total, P-tersedia, K-tersedia, KTK dan KB) serta hasil kacang tanah pada tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian abu sekam dan tanah mineral secara interaksi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pH, berpengaruh nyata terhadap N-total, P-tersedia, K-dd, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap NTK, dan sangat nyata terhadap KB, sedangkan parameter tidak nyata.  Faktor tunggal abu sekam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap porositas total, dan Bulk  density, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pH, N-total, P-tersedia, K-tersedia, NTK dan KB tanah gambut, tinggi tanaman 30 dan 45 HST, persentase polong bernas, persentase polong hampa, berat 100 biji kering, berat biji kering per plot netto serta berat biji kering per hektar, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman kacang tanah umur 15 HST.  Pemberian tanah mineral berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap porositas,  berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap bulk  density, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap  pH, tidak nyata terhadap N-total, sangat nyata terhadap P-tersedia, K-dd, NTK dan KB. Fertilizer use efficiency is changing greatly depending on soil properties, fertilizer type, irrigation and level of intensive cultivation. A site specific potassium (K) experiment was conducted to formulate the fertilizer recommendation of K for rice plant in different K soil status. The objective of this research were to select a proper soil test method, classify the soil test value of K into two or more classes and fertilizer recommendation of K to rice plant. In this study it was found that the method of NH4OAc 1N pH 7 was the best technique for soil analysis. Based on the method, there are 3 available classes of K i.e. low, medium, and high. The soil with the highest availability of K does not require fertilizing with K, because it has been fulfilled by the water irrigation and straw. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan keberadaan benteng Kuta Lubok yang terkubur di dalam tanah berdasarkan pencitraan gelombang elektromagnetik berfrekuensi tinggi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan instrumen GPR yang diproduksi oleh Ingegneria Dei System S.P,A Radar For Soil Investigation (IDS RIS) frekuensi tunggal (80 MHz). Pengukuran GPR dibuat 12 lintasan; Lintasan 1 sampai 10 berarah dari Selatan ke Utara dengan panjang lintasan bervariasi antara 65 sampai 30 meter. Lintasan 11 dan 12 diukur dari arah Barat ke Timur dengan panjang lintasan masing-masing 105 meter. Setelah dilakukan process move start time, background removal, vertical bandpass filter(td), linear Gain, smooth Gain pada data lapangan didapat 2 tampilan reflektor paling dominan pada setiap lintasan, yaitu reflektor datar dan reflektor miring. Reflektor datar diduga sebagai kontruksi badan jalan di tengah benteng sedangkan reflektor miring diduga sebagai bedrock. Kata Kunci: Ground Penetrating Radar, geofisika arkeologi, reflektor, metode elektromagnetik.ABSTRACTGround Penetrating Radar (GPR) measurement has been conducted at archeological site of Kuta Lubok in Lamreh village, District of Aceh Besar. This research is aimed to reconstruct part of Kuta Lubok fort that had been buried. GPR instrument with single frequency of 80 MHz produced by Ingeneria Dei System (IDS) was used for the measurement. GPR data were collected in 12 profiles. Profiles 1 to 10 were measured from South to North direction. Lengths of the profiles vary from 30 to 65 meters and distance between the profiles is 10 meters. Profiles 11 and 12 were directed from West to East with 105 meters distances. We have done move start time, background removal, vertical band-pass filter, linear gain, and smooth gain processes to the raw data. After the processes, two reflectors (i.e. flat and tilt) are dominantly found in each profile. The flat reflector inside the fort is predicted as ex road construction and the tilted reflector is predicted depth of bedrock in the area.
