We reflected from a project on incorporating farmers’ indigenous knowledge into sustainable agriculture development in small islands context and four times visits in Kisar island (1999-2011). Critical question raised is to what extent the knowledge is valid and relevance. The notion of the study was a phenomenological study. A phenomenological analysis is purely description of an immediate lived experience and an expression of its meaning (Berger and Luckman, 1976; van Manen, 1990). Rationality in phenomenology is justified by an understanding of the essence of such experience rather than just causal explanation. It recognizes the important of the context and the individual construction of perception and meaning in that context. Snowball technique was applied to find the respondents or indigenousknowledge holders. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using Ethnograph v.6. The results showed that the farmers forecast the rainfall by observing the onzet and the appearance of the Pleiades stars or the seven sisters and gauging the size and the brightness of the seventh sister of the Pleiades to predictthe characteristics of the rainfall. The research population are 51 companies. Abnormal return is measured based on individual stock returns using market returns. Individual stock return is obtained from the daily closing price and market return is measured using the Composite Index of BEI. The results show that: (1)  the average abnormal stock return 10 days after the announcement of increasing cash dividends s is not higher than the average abnormal stock return 10 days before the announcement of increasing cash dividend  (0.00460 <0.00519), (2) the average abnormal stock return 10 days after the announcement of constant cash dividends is not higher than the average abnormal stock return 10 days before the announcement of constant cash dividend (0.00098 <0.01617), (3) the average abnormal stock return 10 days after the announcement of decreasing cash dividend is not lower than the average abnormal stock return 10 days before the announcement of decreasing cash dividend (0.00151> 0.00026). The conclusion of this research is that the announcement of cash dividend does not give abnormal return to investors. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri atas 2 (dua) faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi NaOH (K) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu K1= 0,5 gram, K2 = 0,75 gram dan K3 = 1 gram. Faktor kedua adalah waktu reaksi (W) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf W1 = 30 menit, W2 = 60 menit, dan W3 = 90 menit. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 2 kali sehingga diperoleh 18 satuan percobaan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yield biodiesel lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan berat minyak biji jarak.
