The main sources of omega-3 fatty acids are fatty fish species such as herring, mackerel, sardine and salmon. Oils from the marine algae Cryptecondium conchii are mainly rich in DHA only, while fish oil contains both EPA & DHA. Why is it important to microencapsulate EPA & DHA? Because these fatty acids cannot be synthesized by the human body but have to be obtained through nutrition uptake. The beneficial effects of these fatty acids including lowering cholesterol, decreasing the risk of arrhythmia, lowering the blood pressure, preventing diabetes in pregnancy, and positive effects on joints (relief of arthritis). EPA and DHA also play an important role in early infant nutrition and the imbalance of these fatty acids is believed to cause a variety of diseases. Because of their sensitivity to oxidation, these fatty acids need to be stabilized to protect them from oxidation. In food application, their interaction with other food ingredients needs to be prevented. Attempts to prevent oxidation to allow omega-3 fatty acids to fulfill their functions are not trouble-free. Fish oils in their natural state have a taste and smell that make them less attractive to consumers. Processing technology for masking the smell and taste of fish oil in food faces great challenges. Therefore, to address the problems concerning the susceptibility of fish oil to oxidation and its unpleasant smell, microencapsulation, where the oil is packaged within coating materials, may be used to replace bulk oils. This paper discusses great challenges faced by the scientists to microencapsulate omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil after introducing concise information related to microencapsulation and its advance techniques. The main sources of these fatty acids are fish and fish oils. However, fish supply is limited and the availability is uncertain. There are two main problems with regard to fish supply: overfishing and mercury contamination. In addition, food enrichment with fish oil is apparently challenging due to sensitivity of fish oil to oxidation, and fishy smell which make them less attractive to consumers. Based on above problems, alternative sources of EPA and DHA must be found. Analternative for omega-3 fatty acids are microalgae. This research aims to isolate, identify, and find microalgae biodiversity that are able to produce omega-3 fatty acids in their cells. Microalgae were isolated from fallen, senescent leaves of mangrove tree (Kandelia candel) in two locations in Aceh. The colonies were identified morphologically using light and stereo microscopes with 1000x magnifications. The results were compared with those in literatures. This research has isolated and identified some genus of microalgae thatwere predicted belong to order Labyrinthulida and family Thraustochytriidae. Morphological observations have also confirm identification of one fungi, genus Mortierella. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas pelayanan kesehatan Antenatal Care di Puskesmas Kuta Baro Aceh Besar, ditinjau dari lima dimensi, yaitu reliability, responsiveness, assurance, tangible, emphaty. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif eksploratif dengan desain cross sectional study. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tehnik probability sampling dengan jenis total sampling yaitu sebanyak 46 orang. Tehnik pengumpulan data dengan angket menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk skala dikhotomi dengan 40 item pernyataan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan gambaran kualitas pelayanan kesehatan Antenatal Care di Puskesmas Kuta Baro berdasarkan reliability berada pada kategori kurang (63,0%), berdasarkan responsiveness berada pada kategori baik (56,5%), berdasarkan assurance berada pada kategori kurang (56,5%), berdasarkan tangibles berada pada kategori baik (65,2%) dan berdasarkan emphaty berada pada kategori kurang (63,0%). Secara umum gambaran kualitas pelayanan kesehatan Antenatal Care di Puskesmas Kuta Baro Aceh Besar tahun 2013 berada pada kategori kurang (52,2%). The research used descriptive explorative with cross sectional study design. Sampling technique conducted by using probabilty samping with total sampling for 46 people. Data collection used questionnaire in dichotomous scale consisting with 40 statements. Selain itu unilatelar torsio testis dapat berdampak pada histologi testis kontralateralnya. Dari semua efek yang terjadi pada testis kontralateral salah satunya berefek terhadap penghambat poliferasi dan fungsi Sel Leydig yang berfungsi menghasilkan testosteron untuk pertumbuhan dan pembelahan sel-sel germinal testis, yang merupakan tahap pertama pembentukan sperma. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat perubahan yang diakibatkan oleh detorsi torsio testis unilateral pada penurunan jumlah sel Leydig testis kontralateral dan setelah di detorsi selama 30 hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen laboratorik dengan pendekatan post test only control dan menggunakan teknik pengelompokan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan menggunakan 3 kelompok perlakuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dari filamentous algae (Spirogyra sp.) sebagai agen bioremediasi dalam mereduksi kandungan bahan organik limbah budidaya sidat. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan perlakuan perbedaan dosis limbah (25 %, 50 %, 75 %, 100%).  Wadah penelitian berupa akuarium resirkulasi menggunakan sistem carrousel. Dilakukan pengukuran secara rutin terhadap beberapa parameter kualitas air serta perubahan bobot Spirogyra sp. selama dua minggu retensi. Diperoleh hasil bahwa penurunan konsentrasi bahan organik menggunakan Spirogyra sp. berlangsung efektif hingga hari keenam. Spirogyra sp. mampu mentolelir limbah budidaya sidat pada dosis limbah 25% dan 50%. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 16 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat ukur pengetahuan kesehatan rongga mulut orang tua, serta indeks CPITN sebagai alat ukur kesehatan jaringan periodontal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan kesehatan rongga mulut orang tua siswa tunagrahita SMPLB YPPC Labui masih kurang (62,5%). Kesehatan jaringan periodontal siswa tunagrahita SMPLB YPPC Labui berdasarkan indeks CPITN adalah skor 2 sebanyak 50% dan skor 3 sebanyak 50%.
