Dr. Samingan, M.Si, Pembimbing II, Dr.Khairil, M.Si.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep sistem peredaran darah yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum (2) Peningkatan kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa pada konsep sistem peredaran darah yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Pengambilan data dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Peusangan pada tanggal 19 Agustus sampai dengan 16 September 2013. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kontrol grup tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 127 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes untuk menilai hasil belajar berupa soal pilihan ganda dan kemampuan kerja ilmiah siwa berupa lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan (p>0,05) antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (2) terdapat peningkatan skor kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa yang signifikan antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) Pembelajaran berbasis praktikum pada konsep sistem peredaran darah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (2) Skor kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa dengan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci: Metode Praktikum, Hasil Belajar, Kerja Ilmiah Siswa, Sistem Peredaran Darah. Farmers around of  PT Pertamina UP VI Balongan in part cultivated kale because it easily cultivated and short harvest age, however they faces difficulty to find irrigation water in dry season. Therefore it is needed to conduct a research for studying whether liquid waste in the lagoon can be used for plant cultivation. The research was conducted from February 2007 until July 2007 in plastic house in area of PT Pertamina UP VI Balongan on altitude 3 metres above sea level. Experiment design used was Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD). Experimented factors were two varieties kale: Amanda, Bangkok LP 1 and eight kinds of media: rice field poured by lagoon liquid waste 9, rice field poured by lagoon liquid waste 18, sediment poured by irrigation water, sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 1, sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 9, and sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 18. There were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Observed variable comprised of plant height, total of leaves, total of branches, leaves wide, longest root length, stem fresh weight, root fresh weight, plant fresh weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight, and plant dry weight. This research showed that poured media by liquid waste in lagoon do not decrease growth and yield of kale, except in longest root length. Mathematics is a lesson that is taught from primary education to higher education. However, the implementation of learning, especially SMP were encountered obstacles, one of which is the lack of representative learning device. This study was a response to the need for a valid learning tool, especially book teacher and student book. This research development, namely the development of learning tools based on open-ended approach to improve the ability to think creatively mathematical school students with materials Statistics. Software development models used in this study was a modification of the steps Plomp model, namely (1) preliminary investigation phase (phase preliminary investigation), (2) design phase (phase design), (3) realization/construction phase (phase realization/construction), and (4) test, evaluation, and revision phase (phase test, evaluation and revision. The device consists of learning learning implementation plan (RPP), teacher guide, student books, student worksheet and the test of learning outcomes. Methode of data collection was done through the validation sheet, test, and questionnaire of students’ responses. Results of the validation sheet was obtained that the RPP had an average value of 4.05 with valid criteria, teacher guide had an average value of 3.94 with valid criteria, students’ books had an average value of 3.9 with valid criteria, student worksheet had an average value of 3.83 with valid criteria, and test results of learning had an average value of 4.15 with very valid criteria.
