Terkelupasnya selimut beton dan terjadinya tekuk lokal akibat beban aksial merupakan jenis kegagalan kolom dan dapat dicegah dengan penggunaan tulangan sengkang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat perilaku kolom beton bertulang yang dibebani tekan aksial dengan variasi jarak sengkang. Untuk menghemat biaya dalam penelitian di laboratorium, penggunaan program komputer menjadi alternatif. Program yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Response-2000 yang merupakan software open source. Penelitian eksperimental sudah dilakukan di Laboratorium Konstruksi dan Bahan Bangunan (LKBB) Fakultas Teknik Universitas Syiah Kuala oleh Saiful Hadi. Data benda uji yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diadopsi dari benda uji Saiful Hadi, berupa kolom beton bertulang dengan variasi jarak sengkang 10 cm (S0), 15 cm (S1), dan 20 cm (S2). Data benda uji tersebut dimasukkan ke Program Response-2000 yang kemudian hasil penelitiannya akan dibandingkan dengan hasil penelitian Saiful Hadi. Sebagian hasil penelitian ini juga dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan secara teori. Hasil kapasitas tekan aksial yang diperoleh dari Program Response-2000 untuk kolom S0 adalah 393,733 kN, kolom S1 sebesar 455,456 kN, dan kolom S2 sebesar 392,587 kN. Sedangkan hasil penelitian Saiful Hadi kapasitas tekan aksial kolom S0 adalah 388,574 kN, kolom S1 sebesar 407,900 kN dan kolom S2 sebesar 373,791. Namun demikian perbedaan hasil perhitungan teoritis dengan Response-2000 hanya 0,2 % sampai dengan 0,7% lebih tinggi hasil yang menggunakan program. Program Response-2000 memprediksi terjadi keruntuhan tekan pada seluruh benda uji, hal ini juga sesuai dengan fenomena yang terjadi pada penelitian di laboratorium oleh Saiful Hadi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kepentingan konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian produk ikan segar di Kota Banda Aceh berada pada rata-rata variabel kepentingan sebesar empat, yang bermakna bahwa konsumen menyatakan penting sedangkan kepuasan konsumen berada pada rata-rata variabel kepuasan sebesar tiga yang bermakna bahwa konsumen menyatakan biasa saja terhadap sebagian besar atribut kepuasan pada produk ikan segar. Kemudian dengan analisis chi-square, akan terlihat adanya hubungan yang sangat kuat antara kepentingan konsumen dengan kepuasan konsumen terhadap pembelian produk ikan segar. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari X2hitung > X2tabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui warna perangkap yang disukai oleh lalat buah pada tanaman cabai merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai Februari sampai November 2014. Identifikasi dilakukan di Laboratorium Zoologi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Syiah Kuala. Perangkap modifikasi steiner berwarna merah, kuning, oranye, hijau dan transparan dipasang di tiga area kebun cabai merah yang terletak di desa Kajhu Kabupaten Aceh Besar, desa Pango Deah Kota Banda Aceh, dan desa Lamreung Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bactrocera dorsalis dan Bactrocera umbrosus adalah dua jenis lalat buah yang ditemukan pada tiga lokasi penelitian. Total jumlah individu lalat buah yang ditemukan adalah 1.131 individu. Perangkap berwarna merah adalah perangkap yang paling banyak dikunjungi lalat buah (30,86%), sedangkan perangkap berwarna hijau adalah perangkap yang paling sedikit dikunjungi (14,59%). Kecenderungan pemilihan warna perangkap oleh lalat buah diduga dipengaruhi oleh habituasi dan spektrum warna. In locate host plants, fruit fly have visual cues and chemical cues. Visual cues can be the color of the host plant and chemical cues can be generated aroma host plants. The research aimed to determine the preferred color trap fruit flies in the chilies. This research was started February to November 2014. Identification had been conducted at the Laboratory of Zoology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Syiah Kuala. Steiner modification trap red, yellow, orange, green and transparent installed at three chilies garden area which is located in the village Kajhu Aceh Besar district, Pango Deah village of Banda Aceh, and the village of Banda Aceh Lamreung. The result showed that Bactrocera dorsalis and Bactrocera umbrosus was found from plantations. Total number of individual friut flies found is 1.131 individuals. Red trap is a trap most visited fruit fly (30.86%), while the green trap is a trap that is the least visited (14.59%). This research about the oviposition preference of Papilio demoleus Linnaeus on three species of citrus (Citrus spp.) has been done in butterflies encagement in FMIPA Syiah Kuala University Darussalam, Banda Aceh from April to July 2003. This research used experimental method by completely randomized design with three treatment and four replication. The treatment are jeruk siem (Citrus nobilis Lour), jeruk kasturi (Citrus milis Blanco), and jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle). The observation was held from 8 o’clock until 16 o’clock for the number of eggs laying to each species of citrus. The result shown that the number of eggs laying indicate no significant on all species of citrus and between the number of eggs laying on the stem and another part around the host plant. A number of eggs laying under the surface of the leaves are more and significant from a number of eggs laying on the surface of the leaves. The eggs laying activity of P. demoleus started from 10 in the morning when the surrounding physical factor has supported for the butterflies to lay done its eggs. Activity get the point of culmination when observed at 12 o’clock. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keperluan masyarakat Gampong Barabung menjadikan Blackberry sebagai preferensi dan untuk mengetahuhui alasan masyarakat Gampong Barabung lebih memilih menggunakan Blackberry dibandingkan smartphone lain. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan alat pengumpulan data adalah observasi, dan kuesioner. Dalam penelitian ini, cara pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Purposive Sampling dan yang menjadi sampel sebanyak 38 orang. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis tabel tunggal dan kemudian diinterpretasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keperluan masyarakat Gampong Barabung menggunakan Blackberry adalah paling banyak untuk bersantai atau mengisi waktu luang yaitu sebanyak 76,3% dan untuk berinteraksi dengan orang lain dan meningkatkan pergaulan, yaitu sebanyak 65,3%. Keperluan lainnya adalah untuk mengakses informasi dan juga untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri. Sedangkan alasan masyarakat Gampong Barabung lebih memilih menggunakan Blackberry dibandingkan smartphone lain karena telah mempertimbangkan beberapa unsur yang membedakan produk smartphone, yaitu kualitas, fitur, desain, dan harga. This research was conducted at rice field at Aneuk Glee Village, sub district of Indrapuri, district of Aceh Besar. This research used Randomized Block Design non factorial, consisting of 6 treatments. They were unhulled paddy, rice, split rice, corn, split corn and corn powder. The treatment was repeated 4 times. The variables observed were percentage of damage plant, trapped rats, and ratio of male rat to female rat.  The result of this research showed that preference of the rat was significantly affected by kinds of food. Among the treatments, unhulled paddy was the most preferred.  However, at percentage of damage plant, the rats preferred rice to other baits.  The ratio of rats trapped was high at male rats. Pendekatan atribut digunakan untuk mengetahui preferensi wisatawan, dengan atribut yang terdiri dari jalan raya, kebersihan, layanan informasi, penginapan dan kualitas lingkungan. Sedangkan pendekatan travel cost method untuk mengetahui nilai ekonomi Danau Laut Tawar yang terdiri dari variabel biaya perjalanan, biaya waktu, persepsi responden, dan pendapatan responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan preferensi wisatawan memberikan penilaian lebih pada atribut layanan informasi, penginapan dan kualitas lingkungan. Sedangkan untuk atribut jalan raya, dan kebersihan disekitar Danau Laut Tawar responden memberikan penilaian yang kurang. Hasil uji eigenvalue diketahui urutan atribut yang dianggap paling penting oleh wisatawan yaitu: jalan raya, layanan informasi, kebersihan, penginapan dan kualitas lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil regresi linear berganda diketahui bahwa hanya variabel pendapatan yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap jumlah kunjungan wisatawan. Dari penelitian ini juga diketahui nilai ekonomi objek wisata Danau Laut Tawar paling besar berasal dari daerah Aceh Utara.
