To minimize the effect of tsunami hazard, prediction of inundation area base on the numerical model simulation of tsunami runup was done for Pacitan city. In this research predicting of inundation area caused by tsunami was studied. GIS was used astool to predict the inundation area. From this research it can be shown that numerical model of tsunami can be used to predict the runup. In this study, a relationship between water losses with frying time during vacuum frying process of potato chips has been developed. A first order kinetic model was used, in which drying rate constant is a function of the main process variables, i.e. oil temperature, sample thickness and vacuum pressure. The experimental data of Garayo and Moreira (2000) have been used to validate the model. Generally there was a good agreement between the calculated results and the experimental data. The goat population of Indonesia is concentrated in Central Java province especially under smallholder farming areas, and mostly their function is the production of meat. Local breed (Jawa Randu and Peranakan Etawah Crossbred) are very common raised by samallholders in Banyumas areas. The local kids are raised with their mothers and slaughtered after post weaning (6–8 months old). Carcass characteristics are important criteria for consumers and it could be taking into account. The objective of this study was to estimate the carcass weight and conformation of local goat by predictor of slaughter weight using some regression models. Eighty male of local goats (Peranakan Etawah and Jawa Randu crossbred), body weight ranged from 10-23.5 kg (6-8 months of age) resulted from village production system were used in this study. Carcass weight, dressing percentage, and carcass conformation were recorded. Ten models of estimation curve procedure were applied in terms of linear and nonlinear regression models. The analysis display relation between slaughter weight (X) and carcass weight and conformation (Y). The higher of determination coefficient (r2) and the lowest of the standard error means (M.SE) was found in the power regression model. This study aimed to determine the level of erosion that occurred on the slopes of plantation of coffee community in sub-district of Permata, district of Bener Meriah, Province of Aceh, conducted from January to August 2011. Coffee plantations of community were located in sub-district of Permata as samples, particularly in the village of Jungke which had 8 percent slope and the village of Seni Antara which had 30 percent slope. This study was conducted by field observation and laboratory analysis to predict the values of erosion using the method of USLE (universal soil loss equation). Further Erosion Hazard Level (TBE) was determined by considering the effective depth of soil. The results showed that the value of the actual erosion that occurred in the coffee plantation of community in the village of Seni Antara which had 30 percent slope at 87,711.47 tones ha-1 year-1 greater than the actual value of erosion in the village Jungke which only 8 percent slopes at 21.79 tones ha-1 year-1. Erosion Hazard Rate on slopes of 30 percent (village of Seni Antara) classified as very heavy, while TBE at 8 percent slope (Village of Jungke) as light. The main factors that affected the value of erosion were the value of LS (long and large slope) and the value of K (erodibility). This research was aimed at profound assessment of erosion hazard levels at grazing fields with various types of forage in Indrapuri and Kuta Malaka Sub-District, Aceh Besar District. The research used a descriptive method with 5 stages, including (1) approach, (2)preparation of working maps, (3)field activities, (4)data collection, (5)analysis and tabulation of data. Results showed that there were 10 units of Land Map (LMU) existed, with a total area of 175,36 hectares at the research locations. The largest actual erosion was found in LMU 4, and LPU 6, up to 279,89 tons ha-1yr-1 and 85,77 tons ha-1yr-1, respectively.  The largest potential erosion was found in LMU 4 and LMU 8, up to 699,74 tons ha-1yr-1and 259,58 tons ha-1yr-1, respectively.   There existed 5 levels of erosion hazard;  a very mild erosion existed in LMU 5 and 9; a mild erosion in LMU 1,2, 3 and 7; medium erosion in LMU 10, heavy erosion in LMU 6 and 8, and very heavy erosion in LMU 4. At grass of Bracharia decumben with undulate to wavy areas, there existed erosion hazard at rates of very mild to mild.  At natural grass with undulate, wavy, and hilly areas, there were erosion hazard of mild to severe intensity. At coarse grass with undulate to wavy areas, there were erosion hazard at the rate of mild to heavy levels.  At natural grasses and lamtoro with undulate area, the rate of erosion hazard was mild, while at elephant grass with undulate to wavy areas, the rates of erosion were mild to medium. Besarnya limpasan permukaan dan laju erosi Sub DAS Krueng Jreu (SDKJ) Aceh Besar telah diprediksikan dengan menggunakan model hidrologi SWAT. Dalam penelitian ini juga disimulasikan dampak perubahan curah hujan dan tata guna lahan terhadap limpasan permukaan dan laju erosi. Perubahan curah hujan yang disimulasikan adalah peningkatan curah hujan sebesar 5, 10, 15 dan 20% sedangkan untuk perubahan tata guna lahan disimulasikan dengan cara mengkonversikan 5, 10, 15 dan 20% lahan kosong dalam SDKJ menjadi areal perkebunan kelapa sawit. Kalibrasi model dilakukan dengan membandingkan debit simulasi dengan debit hasil pencatatan pada stasiun debit. Hasil kalibrasi menunjukkan bahwa model SWAT memiliki kinerja yang baik dalam memprediksikan limpasan permukaan dengan nilai parameter kinerja ENS = 0.71; R2 = 0.77 dan PBIAS = 6.30. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa besarnya erosi yang terjadi sangat tergantung pada besarnya aliran permukaan, semakin tinggi aliran permukaan maka semakin tinggi laju erosi. Peningkatan 1% curah hujan akan meningkatkan 2.4% limpasan permukaan dan 2.3% laju erosi. Setiap perubahan 1% luas lahan terbuka menjadi lahan perkebunan sawit menyebabkan penurunan terhadap aliran permukaan dan laju erosi berturut-turut sebesar 0.2 dan 0.6%.Predicting Runoff and Erosion Rate from Krueng Jreu Subwatershed Using SWAT ModelABSTRACT. The yield of surface runoff and erosion from Krueng Jreu Subwatershed (SDKJ) Aceh Besar were predicted using SWAT model. In this study, impact of precipitation and land use change on surface runoff and erosion were also investigated. Change in precipitation was simulated by increasing 5, 10, 15, and 20% of precipitation while change in land use was simulated by converting 5, 10, 15, and 20% of existing short grass area into palm oil plantation. Model calibration was performed by comparing simulated and observed discharge. Calibration result suggested that model has good performance with ENS = 0.71; R2 = 0.77 and PBIAS = 6.30. Erosion rate highly depends on surface runoff, the more surface runoff the higher rate of erosion. Increasing 1% of precipitation produced an increase in 2.4% of surface runoff and 2.3% of erosion rate. Converting 1% of short grass area into palm oil plantation caused a decrease in surface runoff and erosion rate by 0.2% and 0.6%, respectively.
