This research used Completed Randomized Designed (RAL) factorial with two factor, isolate types and concentration of isolatechitinolitic bacteria. The research procedure includes the maintenances of Aedes aegypti L. larva, isolation and selection of chitinolitic bacteria, and biological test. Data were processed by using Varian Analysis (ANAVA). The result of this study indicated that four isolates were test on larva of Aedes aegypti L. masquito, instar II. Giving different isolat chitinolitic bacteria and concentration showed no significant differences in larva death (P>0,05). The highest average of larva death was exhibited at the treatments of 1% of IS 2 and IS 3 isolate. The occurance of chitinolitic bacteria influenced the growth of pupa, it can be showed that the pupa was not formed from each consentration and isolate that caused the death in larva signed by the part of body and larva siphon were pale and digestive tract was dark.</text>

The study aims to determine the ability of endophytic fungi from nutmeg plants in suppressing the development of pathogenic fungi on dead twig disease. This study used a descriptive method, this method is used at the stage of endophytic fungi isolation and pathogenicity test phase, whereas the double test phase using completely randomized design (CRD), each treatment was repeated 6 replication. The parameters observed percentage inhibition of pathogenic fungi colonies (CP1).The results obtained by three isolates of endophytic fungi from the most healthy roots of nutmeg plants. Endophytic fungal isolates S-S 1 AB able to inhibit the growth of pathogenic fungi (CP1) with the highest percentage inhibition compared to two other isolates in the amount of 90.56% (75.60%) at age 3 DAI. So, isolates S-S 1 AB is very effective for use as a biological agent against fungal pathogens (CP1)Key Words: nutmeg, endophytic fungi POTENSI CENDAWAN ENDOFIT PADA TANAMAN PALA (Myristica fragrans) SEBAGAI AGENS HAYATI UNTUK MENGENDALIKAN CENDAWAN PATOGEN PENYAKIT MATI RANTINGSara AnjaniPenelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan Program Studi Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala sejak bulan April sampai dengan September 2014.

Kata kunci : Streptococcus mutans, ekstrak whole cell, asidogenik, asidurikABSTRACTName: Nadyatul AsifaFaculty: DentistryStudy Programme: DentistryTitle : The Potential of Streptococcus mutans whole cell Extract Inhibiting Streptococcus mutans Growth.Streptococcus mutans is widely known as a major caries agent and could acidogenically and acidurially, also formed dental plaque. Aim of research is to knowing the potential of S. mutans whole cell extract in inhibited S. mutans growth. This research experimental laboratory study with post test only control group design. Its was done 3 times on 1 control group and 3 exam groups. The experimental groups given either by PBS (Phospat Buffer Saline) and using S. mutans whole cell extract at 25, 50, and 100 percent respectively concentration. Analytical result using ANOVA (p < 0,05) showed that S. mutans whole cell extract has significant (p = 0,001) effect in inhibiting S. mutans growth, but 100% concentration of S. mutans whole cell extract has maximum inhibitory effect, from LSD test (p < 0,05), its not showed that each concentration has significant differences. It can be concluded that S. mutans whole cell extract has an inhibitory effect against S. mutans with the minimum inhibitory concentracion is 25%.Keywords : Streptococcus mutans, whole cell extract, acidogenic, aciduric</text>
