The objective of this research was to evaluate the change of physical and chemical properties of peat soil of Jambo Aye Aceh Utara due to the depth of drainage treatments. The research was set according to randomized completely design with three replication. Pipes of alluminium with length of 100 cm and diameter of 30 cm was used to set the depth of drainage treatments. The depth of drainage treatments were: no-drainage, 20 cm, 40 cm, and 60 cm. The results showed the dept of drainage on peat soil affected some of physical and chemical properties of peat soil. From the physical properties point of view, the deeper of drainage was conducted, the more subsidence occurred, otherwise the higher bulk density was occurred. From the chemical properties point of view, the drainage more than 20 cm decreased pH, N-total, P-available, K-exchangeable, and Base Saturated, otherwise increased C-organic, Cation Exchangeable Capacity, and Al-exchangeable. It was recommended to use the drainage depth of 20 cm for controlling the change of some physical and chemical properties of peat soil. The experiment was conducted at the experimental field of Sare, gampoeng Aceh Village, Sub-province Aceh Besar, Aceh Province, from April up to September 2009. The altitude is 445 m above sea level. Research method employed, encompassing: (1) variance analysis due to factorial split-plot random design, to observe the effect of the treatments on soil productivity as indicated by soybean plant (Gycin max L.). The design consisted of three levels of treatments of land slope as the main plots, where: k1 = 0 -5 percent (relatively flat), k2 = 6 -10 percent (rather slopy), dan k3 = 11-15 percent (slopy/critical), and six levels of treatments of traffic tillage frequency as split plots, where: l0 = no traffic, l1 = one time traffic, l2 = three times traffic, l3 =  five times traffic, l4 = seven times traffic, and l5 = nine times traffic, each at two replications, respectively; and (2) regression and correlation analysis that was used to observe the relation of  traffic tillage frequency and changes of soil physical-mechanical properties as indications of land stability and productivity changes. Data observed were: soil bulk density, total porosity,  stability index of soil aggregates, soil permeability,  moisture content, soil consistency, soil plasticity, soil cne index, soil shear strength, and land productivity indicated by yield components of soybean plant, i.e.; root length, root weight, and yield of soybean plant. Results of the research generally indicated that maximum percentage of soil physical-mechanical changes occurred in k1 to k3 at l2 was tolerable for its soil stability index was greater than 30 in which the yield of soybean – relatively low though, varied at the local level within 0.6-1.9 tonnes a hectare. Obtained from variance analysis the yield of soybean interacted significantly at l0-l5 as well as at k1-k3. Quantitatively, the results showed that the changes of  soil physical-mechanical properties as well as growth components and yield of soybean were significantly different at increasing frequency of tillage traffic and land slopes. While qualitatively, obtained from regression-correlation analysis the above indication showed polynomial relations of a reliability R2 of  0.96 to 1.00 for yield of soybean plant and stability index of soil aggregates at increasing frequency of traffic tillage of l0-l5  in the three land slopes of k1-k3.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Azolla pinnata dalam bentuk pupuk hijau Azolla dan kompos terhadap sifat kimia tanah, pertumbuhan dan hasil padi sawah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Sepakat Kecamatan Celala Kabupaten Aceh Tengah pada tahun 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola faktorial yaitu faktor pertama bentuk pupuk hijau Azolla diberikan 4 taraf yaitu 0, 15, 30 dan 45 ton ha-1, faktor kedua bentuk kompos Azolla terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 0, 15 dan 30 ton ha-1, dan terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakukuan dengan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 36 percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bentuk pupuk Azolla hijau dan bentuk kompos Azolla nyata berpengaruh terhadap sifat kimia tanah seperti C-organik, N,P,K-dd dan KTK dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan maksimum dan anakan produktif padi sawah. The main problem on ultisol was low of soil nutrient containt, that was caused of Ultisol chemical properties less. The research aim to study the effect kinds of organic matter as bokasi from to improved Ultisol chemical properties. The research was used Factorial Randomized Block Design, there were kinds of bokasi and fertilizer dosages. Kinds of bokasi were sawdust bokasi, rice straw bokasi and stem of soil palm bokasi. Applied fertilizer dosages were 10, 15, and 20 ton ha-1. There were 9 treatment combination with 3 replications, so that there were 27 experimental unit and the research consist of 2 experiment series. The first series was analysis of chemical properties and the second series was applied in maize growth observation. The research result show that was kinds of bokasi giving the effect to Ultisol chemical properties. Using of rice straw bokasi were giving the highest effect and then sawdust bokasi and the less one was stem of soil palm bokasi. Difference dosage treatment was giving the significant effect to ultisol chemical properties. Using of 20 ton ha-1 was giving the highest effect of Ultisol chemical properties. Kinds of bokasi was giving the significant effect to plant height, dry weight of up plant. Interaction between kinds of bokasi and dosages treatment were not giving the significant effect to all observation because the observation was short time. A randomized completely block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications was used in this research. The treatments were (1) dark green fruit, 42 days after anthesis (DAA), (2) yellowish green fruit, 47 DAA, (3) fully green fruit, 52 DAA, (4) brownish yellow fruit, 57 DAA, and (5) dark brown fruit, 62 DAA. The results showed that jathropa seed was physiologically mature at 57 DAA with criteria: fruit color was brownish yellow, fruit skin was soft and easily hand-opened, and seed was black. These were also supported by seed dry weight, germination percentage, germination rate and first count germination. Uji respons kekebalan dilakukan kembali pada bulan ke-3 dan sesaat sebelum dilakukan nekropsi. Pada bulan ke-10 dilakukan nekrosi terhadap 2 ekor sapi dari masing-masing kelompok perlakuan. Sisa sapi dari masing-masing kelompok perlakuan dilanjutkan diberi perlakuan untuk penelitian lanjutan. Sapi yang dinekropsi diambil jaringan pencernaan yaitu usus, untuk selanjutnya diproses dalam pembuatan sediaan histologis. Sediaan histologis diwarnai dengan hematoksilin eosin (HE).
