In addition, provision of appropriate fertilizer has great potential for strengthening food self-sufficiency and for future agricultural development. The study was aimed at determining growth and yield of three varieties of upland rice under a compound fertilizer. The experiment was arranged in split plot design, consisting of three upland rice varieties and three levels of compound fertilizer. The main plot was upland rice varieties, i.e. Inpago 4, Inpago 5, and Inpago 8, while the subplot was compound fertilizer, i.e. a dose of 0 kg/ha, 150 kg/ha, and 250 kg/ha. Results showed that varieties significantly affected plant height, panicle numbers, and panicle length, but did not significant affect weight of 1000 grains and dried grain. Inpago 4 was the best variety. The best of NPK fertilizer was found at dose of 250 kg/ha. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the possibility of jaloh (Salix tetrasperma) leaf  powders as alternative raw material for tilapia fish feed. Four concentrations of jaloh leafe powders  (0%, 5%, 10% and 15%) were examined in this study. The experimental fish were fed three times a day on  08.00AM, 12.00AM and 17.00PM. with feeding ration of 5% of body weight for 42 days. The one-way Anova test showed that the different concentrations of jaloh leaf powders gave a significantly effect on growth performance of tilapia larvae (p< 0.05), but did not give a significant effect on their survival rate (p>0.05). The Duncans test showed that the higher growth performace and survival rate were found at 5-10% of jaloh leaf powders, it was indicated that diet with 5-10% jaloh leaf powders were better than control (without jaloh leaf powders). Therefore, it is concluded that the jaloh leaf powders is suitable as alternative raws material for tilapia formulated diet at concentration of 5-10%.  Key words: Protein, carbohydrate and alternative feed Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kemungkinan pemanfaatan  tepung daun jaloh (S. tetrasperma) sebagai bahan baku alternatif untuk pakan ikan nila (Oreochormis niloticus). Dalam penelitian ini telah diuji beberapa tingkat proporsi tepung daun jaloh yaitu (0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15%). Pemberian pakan dilakukan tiga kali sehari, yaitu pada pukul 08.00, 12.00 dan 17.00 WIB. Ikan diberikan pakan sebanyak 5% dari berat bobot tubuhnya selama 42 hari. Hasil uji Anova satu arah menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung daun jaloh memberikan pengaruh nyata  terhadap pertambahan bobot badan dan laju pertumbuhan harian benih ikan nila (p<0,05), namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidupnya (p>0,05). Uji lanjut Duncan menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun jaloh 5-10% dalam pakan memberikan hasil terbaik dari segi pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan harian dan kelangsungan hidup, dan hasil ini lebih baik berbanding kontrol (tanpa daun jaloh). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan tepung daun jaloh dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan baku alternatif dalam pakan ikan dengan kadar 5-10%. Fish meal, corn, and rice bran are feed ingredient which easily obtained. Different of quality and amount of each ingredients in fish feed result a various respons on fish.  The aim of this study were to determine respon of growth and feed consumption of walking cat fish (Clarias sp.) which fed feed made of fish meal, rice bran, and corn. The experimental diets containing fish meal, corn meal, and rice bran meal, respectively A. 70;10:19,5.; B. 60;25;14,5 C=60,19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, and the other diets, E and F, were commersial diets. Daily growth rate, feed consumption, feed eficiency, and feed conversion ratio showed significant differences (p>0,05) among the treatments. In general, feed consumption rate, daily growth rate, feed efficiency, and feed conversion rate were best obtained on commercial feed, while feed made from local ingredients showed lower performance than commercial feed. The low quality of feed local ingredients were caused by used low quality of local ingredients which caused the level minimum of fibre and ash were high in 17,9% and 23,5%, respectively. The utilization of Local fish meal 60-70%, corn meal 9,5-19,75%, and rice bran meal 14,5-30% in fish diet did not result better growth performance than commercial diet, however the best formulation for local ingredients of fish meal, corn meal, rice bran meal were 60%; 19,75%; 19,75% and 60%; 9,5%;30 % respectively Keywords : Corn meal; diets; feed consumption; fish meal; growth; rice bran; walking catfish (Clarias sp.)Abstrak.  Tepung ikan, jagung dan dedak padi adalah merupakan bahan baku yang mudah diperoleh dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan, meskipun demikian perbedaan kualitas setiap jenis bahan baku dan jumlah pengggunaan setiap bahan baku dalam pakan dapat menghasilkan respon yang berbeda terhadap ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan konsumsi pakan ikan lele (Clarias sp.) yang diberikan pakan berbahan tepung ikan, tepung dedak padi, dan tepung jagung. Pakan uji yang dicobakan adalah pakan dengan komposisi tepung ikan: tepung jagung, dan: tepung dedak yang berbeda yaitu masing-masing A=70:10:19,5; B=60:25:14,5; C=60:19,75:19,75; D=60:9,5:30, serta dua pakan komersial yaitu E dan F Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan dengan komposisi bahan baku yang berbeda berpengaruh (p<0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan harian, tingkat konsumsi pakan, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan. Tingkat konsumsi pakan, laju pertumbuhan harian, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan yang terbaik diperoleh pada pakan komersial sedangkan pakan yang berbahan baku lokal menunjukkan tampilan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan pakan komersial. Rendahnya kualitas pakan berbahan baku lokal diduga disebabkan oleh bahan baku lokal  yang digunakan memiliki kualitas yang rendah sehingga menghasilkan pakan dengan kandungan serat kasar dan abu yang tinggi masing-masing minimal 17,9% dan 23,5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis silase ikan yang optimal dalam pakan terhadap pertumbuhan ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model eksperimental Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial. Faktoryang di teliti adalah perbedaan proporsi silase ikan dalam pakan, yang diramu sendiri(formulated diet), dengan 6 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Unit percobaan yang digunakan adalah akuarium kaca (45cm x 30cm x 35cm) sebanyak 18 unit. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah Kontrol= 0% silase (kontrol), A= 5% silase, B= 10% silase, C= 15% silase, D= 20% silase, E= 25% silase. Berdasarkan dari hasil penilitian ini menunjukam bahwa pemberian silase pada pakan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak ikan betok (P0,05). Penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dosis vitamin E dalam pakan, yaitu 0 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, 300 mg/kg, 450 mg/kg, dan 600 mg/kg. Pakan yang diberikan dengan komposisi 5% dari bobot tubuh ikan sebanyak 2 kali sehari selama 50 hari. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan vitamin E dalam pakan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, efesiensi pakan, konversi pakan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, dan hepatosomatik indeks, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap retensi protein. Namun demikian pemberian dosis vitamin E 600 mg/kg pakan. memberikan nilai tertinggi untuk pertumbuhan, efesiensi pakan, konversi pakan, retensi protein, dan protein dalam feses, sedangkan nilai hepatosomatik indeks dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh pada dosis 300 mg/kg pakan. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa dosis vitamin E terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah 600 mg/kg pakan. . The fish were fed with five levels of vitamin E, including 0 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, 300 mg/kg, 450 mg/kg, dan 600 mg/kg at ration of 5% body weight twice times a day on 08:00 am and 05:00 pm for 50 days .The result showed that the higher growth performances, feeding convertion, feed effeciency, protein retention, and fecal protein were found at 600 mg/kg feed, while hepatosomatik index and survival rate were found at 300 mg/kg. Therefore, it is concluded that the best dosis in this research was 600 mg/kg feed.
