Farmers around of  PT Pertamina UP VI Balongan in part cultivated kale because it easily cultivated and short harvest age, however they faces difficulty to find irrigation water in dry season. Therefore it is needed to conduct a research for studying whether liquid waste in the lagoon can be used for plant cultivation. The research was conducted from February 2007 until July 2007 in plastic house in area of PT Pertamina UP VI Balongan on altitude 3 metres above sea level. Experiment design used was Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD). Experimented factors were two varieties kale: Amanda, Bangkok LP 1 and eight kinds of media: rice field poured by lagoon liquid waste 9, rice field poured by lagoon liquid waste 18, sediment poured by irrigation water, sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 1, sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 9, and sediment poured by lagoon liquid waste 18. There were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Observed variable comprised of plant height, total of leaves, total of branches, leaves wide, longest root length, stem fresh weight, root fresh weight, plant fresh weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight, and plant dry weight. This research showed that poured media by liquid waste in lagoon do not decrease growth and yield of kale, except in longest root length. Factors studied were 1) types of organic fertilizer, consisted of 3 levels: manure, compost and green manure and 2) varieties of tomatoes, consisted of two levels: Viccario F1 and San Marino F1. Variables observed were plant height and stem diameter at ages 15, 30 and 45 days after transplanting (DAT), fruit numbers, and fruit weight for 5 times of harvest. The results showed that types of organic fertilizer exerted significant effects on plant height at age of 15 and 30 DAT, plant stem diameter at age 15 and 30 DAT, fruit numbers and fruit weight.  The best growth of tomato was on green manure.  Varieties also exerted significant effects on plant height at ages 15, 30 and 45 DAT, stem diameter at ages 30 and 45 DAT,  fruit numbers and fruit weight, but no significant effect on stem diameter at age 15 DAT. The best growth and fruit numbers wer found at Viccario, while the highest fruit weight was found at variety San Marino. There was a significant interaction between types of organic fertilizer and tomato varieties on plant height at age 45 DAT, but no significant interaction on other variables. The best plant growth was found at the combination of Viccario-manure. The research was conducted at Lee Guna Gampong Peurada Banda Aceh from 15 June to 23 July 2010.  A factorial randomized completely design with three replications was used in this experiment. The first factor evaluated was medium (dried rice stalks, cane bagasse, and cardboard), and the second factor was Super A-1 fertilizer concentrations (0 cc, 7.5, and 15 cc/L). The results showed that media significantly affected stem weight and cap diameter of mushroom. However, the media did not influence primordial initiation, the number of mushrooms, length and diameter of stems. Mushrooms grew best on the medium of cane bagasse. Super A-1 concentration significantly influenced the number of mushrooms, diameter of mushroom cap, and stem diameter, but did not affect mushroom weight. The best concentration of Super A-1 for mushrooms growth was 15cc/L. Factor of urea are without urea, 100, 200, and 300 kg urea ha-1.  Factor of charcoal consisted are i.e. without charcoal, 60, and 120 kg charcoal ha-1 . Result showed that urea exerted highly significant effects on plant height at 30 days after transplanting (DAT), 45 DAT, at harvest, tiller numbers at 30 DAT, grain weight per plot, N-total, K-available, and exerted a significant effect on tiller numbers at 45 DAT.  Charcoal exerted highly significant effects on N-total and K-available and exerted significant effects on tiller numbers at 30 DAT and C-organic. Factors of urea and charcoal interacted highly significantly on tiller numbers at 30 DAT and interacted significantly on N-total and K-available.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian urea dan arang aktif terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman padi sawah. Perlakuan penelitian disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan urea terdiri atas tanpa urea, 100, 200 dan, 300 kg urea ha-1. Perlakuan arang aktif  terdiri dari tanpa arang aktif, 60, dan 120 kg arang aktif ha-1. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan urea memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 30, 45 HST dan saat panen, jumlah anakan 30 HST, berat gabah per plot. Arang aktif memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah anakan umur 30 HST.   Interaksi antara kombinasi perlakuan urea dan arang aktif memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan umur 30 HST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman kacang tanah terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan dosis pupuk N dan P 0,32 + 0,42 g/pot (90 kg urea + 120 kg SP36/ha). Pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang tanah pada tanah tercemar hidrokarbon diberi isolat bakteri lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan tanah tercemar hidrokarbon tanpa isolat bakteri. The Growth and Yield of Peanut (Arachis hypogeal L.) by Affected Nitrogen and Phospate Fertilizers on Growing Media of Hydrocarbon ContaminatedABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of N and P fertilizers and growing media on the growth and yield of peanut plants. There are 2 factors studied were N and P fertilizer consists of 4 levels : no fertilizer , 0.21 + 0.21 , 0.26 + 0.32 and 0.32 + 0.42 g / pot. Factors planting medium consisting of 3 levels: Entisol uncontaminated soil without bacterial isolates, entisols contaminated soil without bacterial isolates and soil contaminated Entisol given bacterial isolates. Parameters observed that the plant height, stem diameter, number of pods , pod weight and number of pods pithy planting, wet and dry weight of shoots, wet and dry weight of roots. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat buah per tanaman, serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang buah.  Buah per tanaman terberat dan terpanjang diperoleh pada jarak tanam 40 cm x 60 cm. Jumlah benih per lubang berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap diameter buah dan berat buah per tanaman, serta berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang batang utama umur 15 HST dan jumlah buah per tanaman. Diameter buah terbesar dan buah per tanaman terberat dijumpai pada penggunaan 1 benih per lubang,  sedangkan   jumlah buah per tanaman terbanyak diperoleh pada penggunaan 3 benih per lubang. Terdapat interaksi yang tidak nyata antara jarak tanam dan jumlah benih per lubang terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil mentimun. Plant Growth and Yield of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) in Response to Different Spacing and Seed Numbers per HoleABSTRACT. The study was aimed at determining the right spacing and seed numbers per hole on growth and yield of cucumber plants and investigating interactions between the two factors. The study was conducted at the Experiment Station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh from October to December 2009. Experiment was arranged in a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) 3 x 3 with three replications. Factors studied were plant spacing (20 cm x 60 cm, 30 cm x60 cm, and 40 cm x 60 cm) and seed numbers per hole (1, 2, and 3 seeds per hole). Results showed that plant spacing exerted a highly significant effect on fruit weight per plant and a significant effect on fruit length. The best fruit weight and length were obtained at a spacing of  40 cm x 60 cm. Seed numbers exerted highly significant effects on fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant and significant effects on main stem length at age 15 days after planting and fruit numbers per plant. The best fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant were found at 1 seed  per hole, while the best fruit numbers per plant was obtained at 3 seeds per hole. Experimental design used was a factorial 3 x 4 with three replications. The two factors investigated were Gandasil D concentration (0 g/l, 2 g/l and 4 g/l of water), and Harmonik growth regulator concentration (0 cc/l, 1 cc/l, 2 cc/l and 3 cc/l of water).         Results showed that Gandasil D fertilizer concentration significantly affected length of egg plants and its biomass. The best result of Gandasil D fertilizer was at concentration of 2 g/ l of water. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan efektivitas jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tumpang sari tomat dan bawang merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 10 dan 55 HST, jumlah buah dan bobot total tanaman tomat. Terdapat interaksi antara jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terdapat tinggi tanaman pada 55 HST, rata-rata bobot buah per tanaman tomat. Tanaman tomat tertinggi pada 55 HST dijumpai pada perlakuan jarak tanam 60cmx60cm tanpa pemberian pupuk hayati memberikan dan jarak tanam 70cmx60cm dengan pemberian pupuk hayati sebanyak 2% memberikan rata-rata bobot buah tomat tertinggi.Growth and Yield of Intercropping Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) and Onion (Allium esculentum L.) due to Different Spacing and Concentration of BiofertilizerABSTRACT. The objective of study were to determine the effective row-spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on growth and yield of intercropping tomato and onion. The result showed that the row spacing have significant effect on height of tomato tree at 10 and 55 DAP, amount of fruit and total weight of per tomato plant. Their were significant interaction between row spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on height at 55 DAP and average weight of fruit per plant of tomato. The row spacing 60 cm x 60 cm and 0% of biofertilizer gave the highest height of tomato tree at 55DAP and row spacing 70 cm x 60 cm with 2% biofertilizer gave heaviest average of weight of tomato fruit per plant. The subjective of this study were to investigate several varieties and medium on the growth and the yield of cucumber. The research was conducted at the screen house Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University Darussalam – Banda Aceh from August to December 2008. Randomized completely block design with two factors was used on this experiment using three replications. The first factor was medium for hydroponic (i.e. sand, rice chaff charcoal, and sawdust), and the second factor was cucumber variety (i.e. Dinasty, Baby, and Venus). Each of unit experiment used 2 plants, and meaning that we used 54 plants for this experiment. The result showed that he medium significantly influenced the cucumber weight per plant, influenced the stem diameter on 45 days after planting (DAP), but not for other parameters (i.e. the plant height on 15, 30 and 45 DAP ; the stem diameters on 15 and 30 DAP ; the fruit length ; the fruit diameter and the amount of fruit per plant). The variety significantly influenced the fruit length and the cucumber weight per plant, however the variety not significantly influenced other parameters (i.e. the plant height on 15, 30, and 45 DAP; the stem diameter on 15, 30, and 45 DAP; the amount of fruit per plant; and the fruit diameter).
