Akan tetapi kualitas layanan multimedia pada hotspot masih buruk karena belum tersedia mekanisme QoS konten multimedia. Mekanisme layanan QoS dapat diimplementasikan pada antrian paket seperti First In First Out (FIFO), Stochastic Fairness Queuing (SFQ), Random Early Detection (RED), dan Per Connection Queuing (PCQ) dan pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas layanan wireless multimedia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh antrian paket terhadap kualitas layanan wireless multimedia dengan parameter throughput. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu yang pertama tahapan pengujian single trafik dan selanjutnya tahapan pengujian multitrafik. Dengan adanya penerapan antrian paket maka kualitas layanan wireless menjadi lebih baik dalam memaksimalkan bandwidth sebesar 2 Mbps yang diberikan pada jaringan tersebut yang dalam penggunaan user. Metode antrian paket Per Connection Queuing (PCQ) menghasilkan QoS terbaik dimana mampu membagi rata throughput. Pada pengujiannya bandwidth yang diberikan sebesar 2 Mbps, PCQ membagi rata throughput voice, video, HTTP dan FTP masing-masing sebesar 505,96 Kbps.
