Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans is a Gram negative anaerobic facultative that known as causative agent of periodontitis primarly aggresive periodontitis. Kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) is one of medical plant which has some antibacterial compunds such as alcaloid, flavonoid, saponin, quinon and steroid. The proposed of this study to analyze the antibacterial potential of kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) extract on Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans growth. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans cultured in Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans Growth Medium (AaGM) agar and incubated for 72 hours at 37oC in anaerobic condition was confirmed by Gram staining and examined for turbidity by Mc Farland. Antibacterial assay of kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) extract was using Standart Plate Count (SPC) in MHA medium. Based on this study showed that the colony of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans that growth on 12,5% concentration of kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) was 4,67 x 105 CFU/ml, while the colony of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans that growth on 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% concentration of kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) was 0,00 x 105 CFU/ml. Data was analyzed by Kruskal Wallis and contineud by Mann Whitney. This study showed that kari leaves (Murraya koenigii) extract could affect the growth of Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans which is 12.5% was the Minimum Inhibitor Concentration (MIC) and 25% was the Minimum Bactericid Concentration (MBC).Keywords : Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, Murraya koenigii, Minimum Inhibitor Concentration (MIC), Minimum Bactericid Concentration (MBC).</text>

<text>Abstract: This study aims to evaluate soil liquefaction potential in site when an earthquake shaking. Loss of strength may take place in sandy soils due to an increase in pore pressure. This phenomenon, termed liquefaction, can accur in loose and saturated sands. The increase in pore pressure causes a reduction in the shear strength, which may even be lost completely. Four soil profiles at the location of Laguna Bridge were selected for investigation. The eartquake data which have radius of 300 km from the bridge location were collected from Klimatology and Geofisics Station in Banda Aceh. The liquefaction potential was evaluated by using six methods. Results showed that by using Kishida method (1969) at bore log point 1,2,3, are generally no liquefaction accured, whereas at bor log point 4 are generally liquefaction accured. Seed and Idriss method (1971) showed no liquefaction, whereas Valera and Donovan (1977) showed liquefaction accured. Seed et. all (1976) showed liquefaction only accured at eartquake magnitude of 8.9 Richter scale, whereas the methods of Whitman (1971) and Castro (1975) are generally no liquefaction accured. Keywords : liquefaction, earthquake, saturated sand, cyclic.

Potensi sumberdaya air DAS Singkil untuk keperluan pertanian mencapai 3.438,4 x 106 m3/tahun Analysis of Potential Water Resources at Singkil Watershed using Tank Model Abstract. Water demand continues to increase as the population growth, while the availability of water is not always consistent with the needs in terms of volume, place, time and its quality. Tank based hydrological models have been developed in many researches in Indonesia and in the world to predict the potential of water resources in a watershed. The optimalization of tank model parameter could be performed by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), which has the capability to review the data and does not need much time to reach its optimized model. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the extent of a water resource potential in the Singkil Watershed based on the optimalization of Tank model parameter. Results of the optimalization of water balance of tank model parameter in Singkil Watershed include: hydrology characteristics of Singkil Watershed consisting of minimum debit of 3.60 mm/day, maximum debit 17.80 mm/day, and ratio of maximum/minimum debit is 4.94. Error indicators of Tank model in Singkil Watershed include Coefficient of Correlation (R), which is 0.6471, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Square Mean Error (RMSE), which are 2.18 and 2.73, respectively. Several parameters obtained include total inflow (3,189.48 mm/year) and total outflow (3,155.64 mm/year) consisting of surface flow 11.75 mm/year, subsurface flow (669.84 mm/year), intermediate flow (62.05 mm/year), sub-base flow (0.74 mm/year), and base flow (2,411.26 mm/year). Based on the total base flow, the total volume of water availability flowing in Singkil River reaches 12,164 x 106 m3/year. The potential of water resources in Singkil Watershed for agriculture is 3,438.4 x 106 m3/year </text>
