Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa jurusan IPA dan IPS serta perbandingan antara keduannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kuantitatif. Adapun yang menjadi populasi adalah siswa kelas XI jurusan IPA dan IPS berjumlah 198 siswa, terdiri 93 siswa jurusan IPA dan 105 siswa jurusan IPS, yang dijadikan sampel berjumlah 64, 32 siswa jurusan IPA dan 32 siswa jurusan IPS dengan menggunakan random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, hasilnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji mann-whitney. Sesuai dengan hasil yang diperoleh ternyata siswa jurusan IPA memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 87,5% hal tersebut memberi arti bahwa sebahagian besar siswa menunjukkan minat dan semangat dalam mengikuti proses belajar, yang ditandai dengan rasa senang berkerja untuk mencapai keberhasilan. Sedangkan siswa jurusan IPS memiliki motivasi belajar sebesar 78,1% artinya sebahagian waktu siswa dilakukan dengan kegiatan belajar, kurang tekun menghadapi tugas, dan dapat menyelesaikan masalah belajar tanpa harus belajar lebih keras, hal ini terbentuk karena pola pengajaran dan mata pelajaran yang dialami oleh setiap jurusan masing-masing. Oleh karena itu diperlukan penelitian tentang tanah untuk mengetahui sifat-sifatnya dengan teliti sehingga akan menjamin stabilitas suatu konstruksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan nilai California Bearing Ratio (CBR) yang diperoleh dari laboratorium dengan nilai CBR yang diperoleh berdasarkan Indeks Plastisitas. Tanah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari Desa Reukih Dayah Kecamatan Indrapuri. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel tanah diambil dari tiga titik yang berbeda di lokasi tersebut. Tanah tersebut menurut klasifikasi AASHTO tergolong jenis tanah berlempung dengan simbol kelompok A-6 dengan nilai GI (group index) adalah 14 sampai 17. Menurut USCS termasuk golongan tanah lempung anorganik dengan plastisitas rendah sampai sedang yang disimbolkan CL dengan indeks plastisnya pada sampel tanah 1 PI=15,38%, tanah 2 PI=17,71% dan tanah 3 PI=18,88%. Hasil pengujian proctor didapat nilai Optimim Moisture Content (OMC) adalah pada sampel tanah 1 ?opt = 15,00%, tanah 2 ?opt = 13,69% dan pada tanah 3 ?opt = 12,87 dengan berat isi kering pada masing-masing tanah adalah pada sampel tanah 1 ?dmaks = 1,80 gr/cm3, tanah 2 ?dmaks = 1,57 gr/cm3 dan tanah 3 ?dmaks=1,57 gr/cm3. Hasil pengujian CBR dari ketiga sampel menunjukkan bahwa pada sampel tanah 2 memiliki nilai CBR tertinggi yaitu 10,86%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan nilai CBR laboratorium dengan nilai CBR yang diperoleh dari indeks plastisitas. Tanah yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berasal dari Desa Pekan Bada Kecamatan Peukan Bada. Menurutklasifikasi AASHTO tanah tersebut tergolong jenis tanah kelompok A-7-5 (tanah berlempung). Menurut USCS tanah titik 1 adalah tanah dengan simbol CL (Clay Low) sedangkan tanah titik 2 dan tanah titik 3 adalah tanah dengan simbol CL(Clay High). Indeks plastisitas pada tanah titik 1 sebesar 23,30, titik 2 sebesar 27,98, titik 3 sebesar 23,31. Hasil pengujian proctor didapat nilai OMC (Optimum Moisture Content) untuk masing-masing 1,57%, 1,58%, dan 1,48%. Berat volume kering tanah (?d) sebesar 15,10 gr/cm3, 16,80 gr/cm3dan 18,90 gr/cm3. Interception of rain is the retention of rainwater on surface vegetation before it evaporates back into the atmosphere. Research relating to the interception is still lacking, so it is necessary to study the interception on some types of plants. Although the interception had a little value, and sometimes overlooked, but in some plants have a considerable effect. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of interception in Mahogany and Pine trees, as well as to determine the relationship between rainfall and interception. In this study, samples taken at the Mahogany and Pine trees by the number of 3 samples of each tree. There were two approaches to measure the amount of interception, the first approach was the Volume Balance Approach and the second approach was the Energy Balance Approach. In this study, the volume balance approach, with measurements of rainfall, throughfall, stemflow and interception for ten days of rainfall. The average amount of interception Mahogany obtained 15.5 mm (7.31%) of the total amount of rainfall and the correlation coefficient (r) was at 0.554. While the average number of interception Pinus acquired 87.23 mm (41.15%) of the total amount of rainfall and the correlation coefficient (r) was at 0.505. The size of the interception was influenced by wind speed, density and canopy shape. The research obtained that the interception for pine trees was higher than Mahogany trees. The results also showed that the higher percentage of rainfall, the smaller interception.
