Tim BKSDA Aceh dan FKH Unsyiah turun setelah memdapatkan laporan dari Polres Aceh Jaya bahwa ada beruang yang luka terjerat di kebun sawit melalui Call Center BKSDA pada pukul 10.00 WIB. Kapolres Aceh Jaya AKBP Eko Purwanto bahkan ikut turun bersama tim ke lapangan. Beruang yang terjerat berhasil diselamatkan dan setelah diperiksa, luka yang diderita tidak parah dan dari rekomendasi dokter hewan beruang tersebut layak dilepasliarkan kembali. Sebelum dilepasliarkan, beruang yang terjerat berjenis kelamin betina dengan perkiraan umur 6 tahun tersebut diberikan suntikan vitamin, antibiotik, dan obat kutu terlebih dahulu. Selain luka bekas jeratan, terdapat cacat padq kaki kanan yg terjerat yaitu kuku-kukunya telah hilang yang diduga beruang tersebut pernah terjerat juga sebelumnya.
