PLTS smart traffic light dapat mengkonversi energi matahari menjadi energi listrik secara maksimal. Untuk mendesain alat Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya pada smart traffic light perlu dilakukan pengukuran penyinaran matahari pada tempat dimana aplikasi smart traffic light akan dipasang, dianalisis serta dihitung berdasarkan data yang ada baik dari BMG maupun dari hasil pengukuran. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui cara kerja panel surya 50 Wp dan kapasitas penyimpanan daya (baterai) 35 A, selanjutnya hasil kinerja smart traffic light menggunakan sumber energi dari PLTS dibandingkan dengan menggunakan sumber dari PLN. Perencanaan pembuatan aplikasi pembangkit listrik tenaga surya pada smart traffic light, dimulai dari pengumpulan data yang diperoleh berdasarkan kebutuhan daya yang digunakan oleh smart traffic light pada perencanaan sebenarnya sebesar 2805,89 Wh perharinya. Dengan penggunaan daya sebesar itu, membutuhkan panel surya berkapasitas 100 Wp sebanyak 13 panel, 4 baterai berkapasitas 100 Ah 12 volt DC, dan BCR dengan kapasitas arus 100 A sebanyak 4 buah. In this research, each host (Brontispa longissima pupa) was exposed for different frequencies, i.e., 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 times for female parasitoid.  The result showed that the rate of superparasitism affected the number of progeny emergence, the developmental time of immature progeny, and sex ratio of progeny. The number of progeny emergence was increased as the increase of  superparasitism rate. The number of progeny emergence from single oviposition host was 15, while from host exposed on female parasitoid for 3, 5, 7, and 9 times were 12, 5, 2 and 0, respectively. The developmental time of immature progeny was lengthened as the increase of superparasitism rate. Sex ratio of progeny was biased to female progeny as the increase of rate of superparasitism. The result of this research indicated that superparasitism gave negative effect on development of T. brontispae progeny. Salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang ramah lingkungan dan dapat digunakan sebagai pembangkit listrik adalah tenaga manusia (human power). Jenis pembangkit listrik tenaga pedal umumnya bersifat statis. Dalam penelitian ini energi manusia yang terbuang ketika bersepeda dimanfaatkan untuk menggerakkan pedal sepeda yang dirancang agar bersifat dinamis sebagai sumber energy storage. Energi mekanik dari gerakan pedal sepeda dikonversikan menjadi energi listrik melalui alternator yang selanjutnya disimpan pada baterai untuk digunakan sesuai kebutuhan. Komponen utama pada sepeda pembangkit listrik ini adalah sepeda, gearbox, alternator, regulator dan baterai. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kecepatan putaran roda sepeda sebelum pengisian adalah 2,03 m/s dan pada saat pengisian turun menjadi 1,42 m/s. Kecepatan alternator, tegangan dan arus maksimum pada saat proses pengisian masing-masing adalah 563 rpm, 14,94 volt, dan 3,78 A. Waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk proses pengisian baterai adalah 7,4 jam. The first factor was Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi doses, consisted of 4 levels: 0, 20, 40, and 60 g Pot-1. The second factor was compost doses, consisted of 4 levels: 0, 75, 150, and 225 g Pot-1. Variables measured were pH value, available P, and organic C soil. The results showed that compost doses gave significantly effect on pH value, available P and C-organic soil.  Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi doses increased the pH value, available P and organic C compared to without the fungi. There was a significant interaction between Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi doses and compost doses on pH value and available P. Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi dose of 60 g pot -1 and compost dose of 150 g pot-1 was able to increase the pH value. Research was done from February to May 2006 at experiment station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University. Units of treatments were arranged by factorial randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Data collected were analyzed by analysis of variance and followed with honestly significant different test at the level of 5%. Experimental design used was factorial completely randomized design, consisting of eight combinations of treatment with three replications. Factors examined were firstly neem extract of seed and leaf and secondly concentration of the neem extracts, which consists of four levels for each of the 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%.  Variables observed were mortality, percentage of pupa, percentage of imago, and intensity of damaged plants.   Results showed that use of seed and leaf extracts of neem plant can control armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) in lettuce plants. Seed extract was more toxic than leaf extract of neem.
