This study attempted wafer manufacturing technology development of conventional feed ingredients. The benefit of wafer increase feed consumption and feed efficiency, increase the metabolizable energy content of the feed, kill pathogenic bacteria, reduce the amount of feed scattered, extending the storage time, ensure the balance of feed nutrients and vitamins to prevent oxidation. Research was continuing several research activities on wafer manufacturing technology that has been done and continues to be developed by the researchers. The long term goal of a series of research is to obtain basic information to the wafer manufacturing optimum quality and measurable. Specific target is to obtain basic information about the quality of the wafer on the level of water content and the use of a certain particle size. Guru hanya menerapkan motode ceramah sehingga kurang melibatkan aktifitas siswa secara langsung dan cenderung hanya menerima apa yang diberikan oleh guru, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu. Model pembelajaran ini merupakan model pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan kepada kelompok untuk membagikan hasil dan informasi kepada kelompok lain, sehingga dapat menimbulkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar geografi; (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa; (3) Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran; (4) Respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS-1 MAN Darussalam yang berjumlah 23 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes, lembar observasi dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian (1) Terjadi peningkatan persentase ketuntasan individual dari siklus pertama sebesar 73,91% pada siklus kedua menjadi 95,65%. Peningkatan persentase juga terjadi pada ketuntasan klasikal dari siklus pertama 70% pada siklus kedua menjadi 90%. (2) Aktivitas guru dan siswa telah mencerminkan pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu, terlihat dari semakin membaiknya pengelolaan waktu dari siklus I hingga siklus ke II yaitu pada saat guru membimbing siswa bergerak dari kelompok asal untuk bertamu dan saat siswa kembali ke kelompok asal setelah bertamu (3) Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu meningkat dari kategori baik menjadi kategori sangat baik (4) Respon siswa 95,7% mengatakan baru dan 95,7% merasa menarik dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. 82,6% menyatakan bahasa yang digunakan guru jelas, 86,9% menyatakan komponen pembelajaran menarik dan menyenangkan. 91,3% berminat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran selanjutnya, dan 91,3% siswa dapat memahami materi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui model Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu pada materi biosfer dan aspek sebaran hewan tumbuhan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi. Oleh sebab itu, disarankan kepada guru mata pelajaran geografi untuk menerapkan model ini pada pokok bahasan lain yang dianggap sesuai. Ekstrak Salvadora persica, Aloe vera dan Piper betel dapat digunakan dalam pasta gigi sebagai bahan antibakteri untuk mencegah penyakit periodontal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh antibakteri antara pasta gigi yang mengandung Salvadora persica, Aloe vera dan Piper betel terhadap pertumbuhan A. actinomycetemcomitans. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans yang diisolasi dari plak penderita peridontitis agresif dikultur pada media AAGM. Pasta gigi yang mengandung Salvadora persica, Aloe vera dan Piper betel dilakukan uji antibakteri terhadap A. actinomycetemcomitans dengan metode Standart Plate Count. Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans yang dipaparkan dengan pasta gigi yang mengandung Piper betel memiliki jumlah pertumbuhan koloni lebih sedikit diikuti oleh pasta gigi yang mengandung Aloe vera dan Salvadora persica. Uji statistik menggunakan one way ANOVA menunjukkan nilai p = 0,00, sementara uji Least Significant Difference menunjukkan nilai signifikansi dari semua kelompok perlakuan adalah kurang dari 0,05. The research type used is verificative research or hypothesis testing research. By using census method and unbalanced panel data, there are 77 firm observations fulfilling the population criteria.The data type used is secondary data gotten from the capital market reference center at the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The present experiment is designed to evaluated the weed-crop growth of intercrop between corn with mungbean and groundnut of varying plant populations. The experimental used the single factor field experiment that arranged with randomized completely block design with three block as replication. Intercropping followed additive series system, i.e.: (A) corn 100% + mungbean 25%, (B) corn 100% + mungbean 50%, (C) corn 100% + mungbean 75%, (D) corn 100% + groundnut 25%, corn 100% + groundnut 50%, (F) corn 100% + groundnut 75%. Experimental result showed that: Intercropping corn with groundnut and mungbean of able to weed growth suppressed of sedges, and Intercropping crop with groundnut at 75% rate of recommended population weed growth suppressed of total weeds compared to the other three mungbean populations. Intercropping corn with groundnut at 25% of recommended rate gave the highest sweet corn yield per hectare. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang diabetes mellitus dengan upaya pencegahan pada lansia di Desa Lam Bheu. Jenis penelitian deskriptif korelatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah 797 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling dengan besar sampel 89 responden. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5-10 September 2012 menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara terpimpin dengan menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk dichotomous choice untuk variabel independen dan bentuk likert untuk variabel dependen. Analisa data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square. hasil penelitian adalah ada hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang pengertian diabetes mellitus (P-value 0,009), tanda dan gejala diabetes mellitus (P-value 0,001), faktor resiko diabetes mellitus (P-value 0,009) dan pencegahan diabetes mellitus (P-value = 0,001) dengan pencegahan diabetes mellitus pada lansia. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan diabetes mellitus dengan upaya pencegahan pada lansia di Desa Lam Bheu Kecamatan Darul Imarah Aceh Besar Tahun 2012. Wakatobi Regency with its capital Wangiwangi Island has a great potential of natural resources, i.e.  sloping white sandy beach which strategically stretched out from north to south. The purpose of  this research is to identify beach type, to make a map of beach type in Wangiwangi island  and to identify potential of object tourism.  The metodology of this research is using field observation and the Geographical Information System (GIS). The field obervation was used to measure the beach’s width, length and slope.  The tools used in research are geological compass and applicable measurement equipment. The result of field obervation was used to make spasial analysis to get Map of beach characteristic. Processing of beach map characteristic using ARC GIS 9.3. The lithology of Wangiwangi island beach is limestone, its morphology is of high relief and low relief and there are three types of its characteristic, (they are); sandy beach, sandy beach with fragment coral and cliff beach. The locations of sandy beach are at waha and cemara beach. The location of Sandy beach with fragment coral are at Wapia beach, in Patuno island, in Matahora island and for cliff  beach are at Weki beach, in Kapotan island, at Buni beach and Batutobengko beach. Kabupaten Wakatobi dengan pusat pemerintahan di Pulau Wangiwangi memiliki sumberdaya alam yang sangat potensial dengan pantainya yang landai dan berpasir putih, membujur dari utara ke selatan dan posisinya sangat strategis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasikan jenis pantai di Pulau Wangiwangi dan memetakan kondisi pantai di Pulau Wangiwangi serta mengidentifikasikan potensi wisatanya . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi langsung dan analisis spasial. Pengamatan observasi langsung diterapkan untuk mengukur lebar pantai, panjang pantai dan berm menggunakan alat ukur meteran, sedangkan kemiringan pantai dengan kompas geologi. Hasil dari pengamatan pantai digunakan untuk membuat  analisis spasial sehingga diperoleh Peta jenis karakteristik pantai. Proses pengolahan mengunakan ARC GIS 9,3. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik organoleptik, memperoleh resep standar, dan tingkat penerimaan konsumen terhadap kembang goyang dengan penambahan tepung talas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan analisis data melalui uji LSD (Least significant Different) pada taraf signifikan 0.05 melalui uji Acceptability Test dan Sensory Evaluation. Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu kembang goyang tepung talas, dengan 3 perlakuan dan dua kali pengulangan pada tiap perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan diberikan kepada narasumber dan panelis konsumen. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kembang goyang 120 gr (60%) tepung talas dengan nilai rata-rata 20,57 lebih disukai konsumen dibandingkan kembang goyang 80 gr (40%) dan 0 gr (0%). Karena kembang goyang dengan penambahan tepung talas 120 gr (60%) memiliki warna yang kuning kecoklatan, aroma yang harum, tekstur yang renyah dan rasa yang manis. Dari hasil uji penerimaan konsumen terlihat bahwa nilai terendah kembang goyang terdapat pada kembang goyang dengan penambahan 0 gr (0%). Hasil uji hipotesis terhadap karakteristik organoleptik, dan tingkat penerimaan konsumen terhadap kembang goyang dengan penambahan tepung talas dapat disimpulkan bahwa, hipotesis dapat diterima. Disarankan kepada masyarakat untuk membuat penganan lain dari tepung talas.
