Tidak stabilnya tanah dan kurang baiknya kemampuan daya dukung tanah adalah salah satu penyebab dari kembang susut yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dilakukan pengujian tentang tes pengembangan (Swelling Pressure) yang di stabilisasi dengan serbuk marmer, dengan tujuan mengetahui seberapa jauh kebaikan dan kekurangan serbuk marmer sebagai bahan stabilisasi tanah, tanah yang digunakan berasal dari Desa Teupien Batee Kecamatan Blang Bintang Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Marmer yang digunakan berasal dari sisa-sisa pembangunan lantai masjid Syuhada yang berada di Desa Lamgugop. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium Mekanika Tanah Fakultas Teknik Unsyiah, Peralatan yang digunakan untuk pengujian pengembangan tanah adalah alat swelling pressure. Metode penelitian melalui pengujian dimulai dengan memeriksa sifat-sifat fisis tanah yang meliputi pengukuran berat jenis, pengukuran batas cair, pengukuran batas plastis dan pembagian butiran, sedangkan pemeriksaan sifat mekanis tanah yang meliputi pengujian pemadatan dan pengembangan. Campuran serbuk marmer yang diberikan adalah 0%, 3%, 6% dan 9%. Adapun hasil pengujian sifat-sifat fisis yaitu, Berat jenis 2,585, batas cair 60,07%, batas plastis 23,65%, indeks plastis 36,42% dan analisa saringan 81,003%. Tanah tersebut menurut klasifikasi AASHTO A-7-6 (23), sedangkan menurut sistem USCS tanah tersebut diklasifikasikan kedalam lempung tak organik dengan plastisitas tinggi yaitu tanah yang tergolong jenis (fat clay) simbol kelompok CH. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, persentase penurunan swelling pressure sebesar 25,56 % dari 3,17604 kPa pada tanah asli menjadi 2,36412 kPa pada campuran 9% serbuk marmer yang lolos saringan 200. Dari hal tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa serbuk marmer mampu mengisi ruang antar butiran tanah dan menyebabkan besarnya rongga-rongga antar butiran menjadi lebih kecil. Pengujian ini menggunakan jenis kincir angin eksperimen dengan jenis kincir sumbu horizontal dengan jumlah empat sudu dan enam sudu berdiameter 2 meter. Pengujian ini dilakukan di Alunaga untuk mengetahui sudu mana yang lebih baik digunakan terhadap potensi angin yang ada di daerah tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kombinasi antara teori dan lapangan. Dari pengujian kincir angin ini di ketahui kecepatan angin, putaran, tegangan dan pengaruh pembebanan yang terjadi. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) digunakan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari perubahan teknis dan efisiensi terhadap pertumbuhan produktifitas pada perusahaan asuransi go public di Indonesia dengan menerapkan orientasi output dalam Malmquist index selama periode 2009-2012. Variabel input dan variabel output yang digunakan untuk mengukur efisiensi relatif ini berturut-turut adalah komisi dan beban manjemen, serta premi bersih dan hasil investasi. Dalam teknik DEA, efisiensi diukur dengan indeks Malmquist. Ukuran efisiensi dalam Malmquist index terbagi kepada dua komponen: yaitu indeks perubahan efisiensi (efficiency change) dan perubahan teknis (technical change). Perubahan efisiensi selanjutnya terbagi lagi ke dalam pure efficiency dan scale efficiency. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rata-rata, TFP pada industri asuransi tersebut sama-sama dipengaruhi baik oleh perubahan efisiensi maupun perubahan teknis, di mana pada nilai perubahan efisiensi tersebut lebih cenderung dipengaruhi oleh pure efficiency daripada scale efficiency.Kata Kunci: Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Malmquist index, Efisiensi Asuransi. Muhammad Shabri Abdul Majid, SE, M.EcABSTRACTThis study focuses on the efficiency of go public insurances industry in Indonesia. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used to explore the contributions of technical and efficiency change to the growth of productivity in the Indonesia insurance industries by applying the generalized output-oriented Malmquist index for the year 2009 to 2012. The output-input data consist of a panel data of 9 general insurance firms in Indonesia that were chosen as the sample of the study. This study utilized two inputs and two outputs, namely, commission and management expenses as well as premium and net investment income, respectively. In the DEA technique, efficiency is measured by the Malmquist index. The Malmquist efficiency measures are decomposed into two components: the efficiency change and technical change index. Efficiency change is again decomposed into pure efficiency and scale efficiency. It was found that, on average, the TFP of the go public insurance companies in Indonesia was mainly due to both efficiency and technical changes where the main source of the efficiency change was pure efficiency rather than scale efficiency.
