Atas hal ini, Rektor menjawab bahwa Unsyiah belum bisa memberikan hak tersebut karena hingga saat ini belum keluar Surat Keputusan dari Menteri Keuangan. Namun Rektor menjanjikan, jika Surat Keputusan tersebut sudah keluar maka Unsyiah akan segera memberikan remunerasi kepada semua pegawainya termasuk pegawai kontrak. Dengan rincian Kecamatan Jeumpa sebanyak 248 orang, Simpang Mamplam 242 orang, Kutablang 243 orang, Makmur 162 orang, Gandapura 240 orang, Pandrah 116 orang, Peulimbang 151 orang, Juli 220 orang, Jangka 308, Peusangan Siblah Krueng 143 orang dan Peusangan Selatan 138 orang. Selama KKN, para mahasiswa ini akan didampingi oleh 30 supervisor. Meskipun demikian, Rektor mengingatkan agar mahasiswa Unsyiah bisa bersikap baik, menghormati nilai-nilai adat ataupun kearifan yang berlaku di masyarakat.
