Masalah yang dialami oleh siswa kelas VII-2 di SMPN 9 Banda Aceh adalah rendahnya nilai pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu. Metode simulasi adalah metode praktek yang sifatnya untuk mengembangkan ketermpilan peserta belajar (keterampilan mental maupun fisik/teknis). Simulasi memindahkan suatu situasi yang nyata ke dalam kegiatan atau ruang belajar karena adanya kesulitan untuk melakukan praktek di dalam situasi yang sesungguhnya. Sosiodrama atau role playing (bermain peran), yaitu metode pembelajaran bermain peran untuk memecahkan masalah-masalah berkaitan dengan fenomena sosial, permasalahan yang berhubungan dengan hubungan antar manusia. Sosiodrama digunakan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan penghayatan maslah sosial, mengembagkan kemampuan siswa. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini apakah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa? bagaimana keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran? bagaimana aktivitas guru dan siswa?, dan bagaimana respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran simulasi jenis sosiodrama?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan guru, aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta respon siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-2 yang berjumlah 22 orang dan objek penelitian ini adalah peningkatan hasil belajar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes (pre-test dan pos-test) untuk hasil belajar siswa, lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa, keterampilan guru dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. The problem is often referred as flow maldistribution and formation of localized hot spot region. This research is generally aimed to predict  fluid flow distribution in the packed bed containing porous media by finite difference method using the software MS. Excel. Model verification result shows conformity between analytic method and  result of calculation. Simple study of the finite difference method using the software MS. Excel can describe the fluid velocity profile in a packed bed containing porous media. This profile is similar with experiment of Kufner and Hofmann (1990) and Stephenson and Stewart (1986). The simulation was performed to determine the effect of process variables on the fluid flow velocity profile. Particle diameter influences fluid flow velocity. Bulk porosity also influences fluid flow velocity at axis up to certain distance from wall of reactor.
