Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruhtingkat kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar pada siswa kelas VII SMPNegeri 1 Banda Aceh.Kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan seseorang untuk mengenali emosi diri, mengelola emosi diri, memotivasi diri sendiri, mengenali emosi orang lain dan kemampuan untuk membina hubungan dengan orang lain. Sedangkan hasilbelajar adalah hasil dari suatu aktivitas belajar yang dilakukan berdasarkan pengukuran dan penilaian terhadap hasil kegiatan belajar dalam bidang akademik yang diwujudkan berupa angka-angka. Bila siswa memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi, maka akan meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruhpositiftingkat kecerdasan emosional terhadaphasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMPNegeri 1 Banda Aceh.Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kecerdasan emosional sedangkan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII-1 dankelas VII-2. Dalam pengumpulan data digunakan kuesioner (angket) untuk kecerdasan emosional berdasarkan teori Daniel Goleman yang terdiri dari mengenali emosi diri, mengelola emosi diri, memotivasi diri sendiri, mengenali emosi orang lain dan membina hubungan dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial 4 x 3 dengan 3 kali ulangan. Ada 2 faktor yang diteliti yaitu: faktor pertama adalah tingkat kekerasan buah kakao yang terdiri atas 4 taraf, yakni keras > 3,70 - < 3,80 (kg/m2), sedang > 3.60 - ? 3,70 (kg/m2), agak lunak > 3,50 - ? 3,60 (kg/m2), dan lunak > 3,37 - ? 3,50 (kg/m2). Sedangkan faktor kedua adalah posisi benih dalam buah kakao yang terdiri atas 3 taraf yakni pangkal buah, tengah buah, dan ujung buah. Dengan demikian terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 36 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tingkat kekerasan buah berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air benih, potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, dan keserempakan tumbuh. Secara umum tingkat kekerasan buah yang baik (benih sudah masak fisiologis) adalah benih dengan tingkat kekerasan agak lunak > 3,50 - ? 3,60 (kg/m2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan posisi benih dalam buah berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap kadar air benih, potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, dan keserempakan tumbuh. Hasil analisis ragam juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara tingkat kekerasan buah dan posisi benih di dalam buah terhadap peubah indeks vigor. Benih yang berasal dari buah dengan tingkat kekerasan agak lunak dan posisi benih pada bagian tengah buah memiliki nilai viabilitas lebih tinggi. The results showed that levels of fruit maturity did not significantly affect growth potential, germination, seedling vigor and growth rates of cocoa seeds. Storage method exerted highly significant effects on growth potential, germination, seedling vigor and growth rates of cocoa seeds. The best cocoa seed viability and vigor were found at a storage by using a paper straw. Seedling GrowthABSTRACT. The purposes of this research are to determine the best cacao fruit maturity level and liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI concentration and also their interaction to achieve the best cacao seedlings. The research conducted at Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, from August to December 2011. Units of treatments arranged according to completely randomized block design, 3 by 4 with 3 replications. Data from observation analyzed with analysis of variance and to them showing significant influenced, continued with honestly significant different test at the level of 5%. The result showed that no significant interaction between treatments to all parameters observed. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer super ACI also don’t has significant influence to cacao seedlings growth. The appropriate cacao fruit maturity level to produce physiologically matured seed with the highest vigor is those with yellowish green in color.
