Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Ismail Description An account of the resource Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis ektoparasit dan mengetahui nilai prevalensi, intensitas dan dominasi tiap jenis ektoparasit yang menyerang ikan patin yang di budidaya secara monokultur dan polikultur di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Sebanyak 60 ikan sampel digunakan dalam penelitian, 30 ekor yang berasal kolam monokultur dan 30 ekor dari kolam polikultur. Pemeriksaan ektoparasit dilakukan dengan cara mikroskopis dengan metode preparat ulas (smear methods). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 30 ekor ikan dari kolam budidaya polikultur terinfeksi ektoparasit, dengan demikian prevalensi ektoparasit pada ikan dari kolam polikultur adalah 100%. Sedangkan dari kolam budidaya monokultur sebanyak 22 ekor yang terserang oleh parasite dengan prevalensi 73.3%. Jenis-jenis ektoparasit yang menginfeksi pada ikan patin adalah Gyrodactylus sp. dan Trichodina sp. Jenis-jenis ektoparasit yang menginfeksi pada ikan patin adalah Gyrodactylus sp. dari golongan Monogenea dan Trichodina sp. dari golongan Protozoa. Pada ikan patin yang di budidayakan secara monokultur dan polikultur didominasi oleh jenis Gyrodactylus sp.
