The sampling methods is that used was purposive sampling is counted 180 consumers. The level of beef consumer satisfaction to sold in Banda Aceh is in the level of very low. The quality and  price to the satisfaction of consumers to beef sold in Banda Aceh has significant different to satisfaction of consumers P<0,05. The quality variable which significantly has a dominant of beef consumer satisfaction to sold in Banda Aceh. The value of determination coefficient (R Square) is equal to  0,31,9 show that quality and price of beef is influenced satisfaction of consumers is equal to 31,9 %, meanwhile 68,1% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Concluded  that the quality and price have ability to influence satisfaction of consumers. The good quality can improve satisfaction of consumers and stiff price can degrade satisfaction of consumers. This research was conducted to estimate genetic correlation of growth traits on Aceh cattle including birth weight (BW), weaning weight (WW), yearling weight (YW), and Average Daily Gain (ADG). The research was done at Indrapuri Breeding and Forage Centre (IBFC) of Aceh cattle from March 2013 to April 2013. The materials of this research consist of growth records from 2010 to 2012. The genetic correlation was analyzed by variance and covariance. The results indicated that the lowest standard error (SE) value of heritability showed on birth weight 0.15+0.13. Most of genetic correlation value on growth traits was positive and high categorized (> 0.50). The lowest SE value showed on correlation between birth weight and pre-weaning ADG (0.55+0.54), birth weight and post-weaning ADG (0,63+0,62), pre-weaning ADG and post-weaning ADG (0.71+0.33), pos-weaning ADG and weight/age or W/A (0.72+0.33) then final weight and W/A (0.94+0.69). It could be concluded that most of genetic correlation value on Aceh cattle growth traits were positive and high therefore the selection based on growth traits can be done for increasing performance in Aceh cattle. An experiment was conducted to determine the broiler performance feed ration contained pineapple peel meal supplemented by yoghurt. A hundred broiler chickens 2 days old were used in this study those divided into 4 treatment groups and kept for 4 weeks. The treatments were level of pineapple peel meal (PPM) into the ration; P0 = ration without PPM, P1 = ration contained 5 % of PPM, P2 = ration contained 10 % of PPM and P3 = ration contained 15 % of PPM. To neutralize high crude fiber content in the ration, chickens were supplemented by yoghurt consisted 3,3 x 108 CFU/ml of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus as much as 3 ml/kg body weight. Yoghurt was offered in the morning before feeding. Each treatment was replicated 5 times. The experiment was assigned into Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Parameters were feed consumption, water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Data were analyzed by Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and significantly effect was tested by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Results of this study showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) among 0, 5, and 10 % the treatment groups on feed consumption, water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. Offered 15 % of pineapple peel to the chickens did not significantly (P<0.05) increased feed consumption and conversion ratio but did not significantly (P>0.05) decreased body weight gain.  It is concluded that pineapple peel meal might be mixed into the broiler chicken ration up to 10 % without any significant adverse effect  on performance when they were supplemented by yoghurt as much as 3 ml/kg of body weight. The variables measured included nutrient content of rice straw. A second experiment carried out in vitro to test the best rice straw fermentation results of the first experiment, using experimental methods, with a Completely Randomized Design. As the treatment were the supplementation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (0, 2, 4% of the weight of fermented rice straw, DM basis). The variables measured included digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, cellulose and lignin digestibility of feed containing fermented straw. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance test followed by Orthogonal Polynomials. The results can be concluded that the fermented rice straw using Phanerochaete chrysosporium 10 g/kg of rice straw is the best nutrient content. The objective of this research to study on the technical aspect management of local buffalo in Gayo Lues district. Forty local buffalo farmers located in three selected sub district of Rikit Gaib, Pantan Cuaca and Dabun Gelang in Gayo Lues were visited and data or informations were collected through interview of the farmers. Data collected included: breed and breeding performance, feed and feeding practices, rearing practices, health aspect and marketing. The data were tabulated and compared with the standard guideline of buffalo management from the Directorate General of Livestock Service (DGLS). Result showed that management practices of local buffalo applied by farmers in Gayo Lues were found very low, only 40.16% of the standard management from DGLS. Application of health (64.57%), and housing (74.78%), while application of breeding and reproduction, rearing practices and feed and feeding were 41.76%, 46.50%, and 17.67% of the standard, respectively. Aimed of this research was to find out the optimal level of molasses addition at straw rice ammonization process to N-NH3 production, VFA and microbe protein synthesis. Material used was rumen fluid of fistula cattle, rice straw, water, urea and molasses. Treatment tried was level of molasses addition 0%, 15% and 30% on rice straw which given urea. Research was carried out by experimental method as in vitro, was conducted use completely randomized design. Variable measured were N-NH3, VFA and microbe protein synthesis. Intake data entered in data tabulation and analyzed variance then continued by orthogonal polynomial test. Research result after ammonization indicated that acidity level and concentration of released NH3 decrease parallel with addition of molasses level, and also increase the nutrient content which was crude protein increase and crude fiber decrease. Variance analysis and Test of orthogonal polynomial result indicated that treatment of molasses addition have highly significant effect (P<0.01) and linier respond to concentration of released NH3 after ammonization. Research result as in vitro indicated concentration N-NH3 and VFA total decrease while microbe protein synthesis increase. Variance analysis result indicated that molasses addition treatment at straw rice ammonization process have highly significant (P < 0.01) on concentration of N-NH3, VFA total and Microbe Protein Synthesis. Test of orthogonal polynomial for molasses addition at straw rice ammonization process indicated linier respond on concentration of NH3 N-NH3 and VFA total, but microbe protein synthesis quadratic had respond (P < 0,01) white regression equation Y= 52.187-1.089222X + 0.11X2 (r2) 87.27 and (r) 0.9341. A research have been conducted to find the impact of heat stress at 3 level of cage temperature on hematology profile and broiler daily body weight gain. Sixteen broilers (strain Cobb) at the age of 20 days were randomly divided to 4 groups. First group was control group that treated without given heat stress (KL). Second, third, and fourth groups were treated with heat stress in cages with temperature, respectively 33 ± 1oC, 36 ± 1oC, and 39 ± 1oC. Heat stress was given 4 hours daily during 7 days consecutively. The result indicated that cage temperature up to 36 ± 1oC has not significantly affected hematology profile and broiler daily body weight gain. The impact of increasing temperature have been found at cage temperature of 39 ± 1oC after 7 days of treatment, which were the increasing number of leucocytes, decreasing number of erythrocytes, and decreasing of broiler daily body weight gain. The broiler of the age above 20 to 27 days that exposed heat stress during 4 hour per day in the cage temperature of 39 ± 1oC can obtain heat stress in serious level. The main focus of this study were (1) documenting the profile of livestock estate of Village Breeding Centre (VBC) and Village Fattening Centre (VFC) for beef cattle under local resources base, (2) documenting the profile of local resources in terms of the potential of individual farmer and group dynamic, (3) documenting the degree of livestock estate consist of: elementary, middle and advance. Livestock On-Farm Trials was conducted by survey on Village Breeding Centre and Village Fattening Centre. 81 VBC and VFC located at 5 regencies in Central Java (Cilacap, Banyumas, Purbalingga, Banjarnegara, and Kebumen) were involved in this study. Qualitative and quantitative descriptive statistics were applied in this study. Conclusions remark of this study: (1) The profile of livestock estate for breeding were dominated by secondary grade (92%), followed by elementary (4%) and advance (4%) grades. The profile of livestock estate for fattening better than breeding estate, the grade of livestock estate for breeding was advance (18%) and secondary (82%) and no elementary grade.; (2) The potencial of individual farmer under midle grade (77%) and high grade (23%). These good conditions are really support for developing breeding and fattening beef calte estate; (3) The poteny of group farmer institution comprise of the potency of social resources and group dynamic. The potency of social resources was dominated (85%) by high grade, followed by midle grade (15%). The good condition of social resources potency are really support livestock esate development, unfortunalty this condition unsupported by group dynamic where they are tend to be statis and decline (76%); (4) Based on the development process, beef cattle estate consists of three categories: elementary, secondary, and advance degree. Only 4% of elementary degree was found at beef cattle breeding. Mostly, they are under condition of secondary grade (92% at breeding centre, and 82% at fattening centre). The advance grade was found in small number (at breeding and fattening centre were 4 and 18%, respectively). Mulberry leaves has a great potential as animal feeds because of its high nutrient content, but has deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) active matter. It is potential to inhibit carbohydrate hydrolysis process, come to monosaccharides. The objective of this experiment is to study the inhibiting ability of mulberry leave extract in carbohydrate hydrolysis process. The kinds of carbohydrates were using glucose, maltose, sucrose and starch. This experiment used twenty four of 60 days old male mice (Mus musculus). Diet and water were given ad libitum. Treatment were allocated ina factorial completely randomized design with three replications and two factors containing of completely mulberry leaves extract and variance of carbohydrates. Variable observed were feed consumtion, feed digestibility, body weight gain and blood glucose. The data were analyzed with univariate analysis of variance. The result showed that inclusion of mulberry leaves extract had decrease body weight (P< 0,05) and reduce blood glucose (P< 0,05).
