<text>Cissus quadrangularis Salisb is a medicinal plant which has been used traditionally to cure bone fracture by Acehnese. This study was carried out to investigate the administration effects of Cissus quadrangularis Salisb extract (CQSE) on the histology of lumbar bone in ovarectomized rats. There were 16 female rats (Rattus norvegicus) as samples and were then divided into 4 groups of treatment, with 4 replications each. K0 consisted of ovarectomized rats without CQSE supplementation, whereas K1, K2 and K3 consisted of ovarectomized rats administrated with 300, 500 and 700 mg/kg body weight CQSE for 60 days, respectively. On the day 61st, all rats were euthanized with chloroform and their fourth lumbal bones were collected for histological preparation. Parameters observed were densities of active osteoblast, passive osteoblast and osteoclast. The results of this study showed that density of active osteoblast of rats in K3 (27.25 ± 2.75) was significantly higher (P<0.01) than rats in K0 (1.75 ± 1.25), K1(4.00 ± 1.41), and K2 (8.50 ± 7.40), respectively. There was no significant difference (P>0,05) of passive osteoblast density among rats in K0 (16.50 ± 6.13), K1 (41.00 ± 6.48), K2 (44.50 ± 16.34), and K3 (39.00 ± 15.23). Osteoclast density of rats in K0 (85.25 ± 25.91) was significantly higher (P<0,05) than that of rats in K1 (52.50 ± 16.66), K2 (51.00 ± 7.16), and K3 (50.75 ± 9.20). In conclusion, consecutive administration of 700 mg/kg body weight of CQSE extract for 60 days might increase active osteoblast density in ovarectomized rats.</text>

Measurement target is for investigate allegations of contaminant substances are disposed by the public at these locations based on the response of the magnetic and electric fields. The tools used are the T-VLF device with two electrodes and using three stations, namely the transmitter JJF4 Japan, NWC Australia and UMS Moscow. Broad expanse of measurements on L1 and L2 is 200 m, L3 and L4 is 150 m. There are 74 measuring points with spacing of 10 m. The result of this experiment showed that the four layers can be divided into two layers with different resistivity values. The first layer at a depth of 0-15 m with apparent resistivity of 2-25 Ωm, allegedly at this layer contained the contaminant substances. The second layer at a depth of 15 m with apparent resistivity of 25-101 Ωm, in this layer are water-resistant coating that can withstand water into and out of the landfill.</text>

<text>The research was aimed to determine the characteristics symptoms of Phytophthora palmivora on cocoa leaves, and was conducted in Plant Diseases Laboratory, the Faculty of Agriculture Syiah Kuala University. Mature cacao leaves with almost the same size in the quotation were used at Lab. Plant disease. Suspensions of P. palmivora were inoculated on leaves by spraying techniques with several concentrations of treatment, 1x102, 1x104, 1x106. The results showed that cocoa leaves’ symptoms were getting yellow colour around the veins and the whole leaves eventually showed lesion on the third day after spraying. The higher spores’ population of P. palmivora could impact higher invasive infections. Characteristic symptoms will be very helpful in the process of observation of early disease in the nursery.</text>

<text>The study of biological activity from n-hexane extract of leaves’ Cassia alata had been done against Candida albicans as bioindicator. Dried leaves of C. alata (850 g) were macerated into n-hexane to obtain a dark green crude extract (31.79 g). The n-hexane crude extract was then subjected to vacuum liquid chromatography (VLC) and eluted with n-hexane and ethyl acetate to give 4 sub-fractions, namely fraction A (7.7251 g), fraction B (1.9419 g), fraction C (1.3565 g) and fraction D (1.4737 g) respectively. Based on phytochemical analysis, both n-hexane crude extract and chromatographic sub-fractions contained steroids as their secondary metabolite constituent. The antifungal activity was tested against C. albicans using the agar-disc diffusion method with three different concentrations (10, 30 and 50%). Fraction D showed medium antifungal activity at 10.6, 11.3 and 12.6 of diameter-inhibition zones (mm) respectively.</text>

The study began by dividing the mice into 6 groups. Group 1 was given 1% CMC, group 2 to group 4, given EELK 50, 100, 200, 400 mg / kg bw, respectively, and group 6 administered with glibenclamide 0.45 mg/kg bw. Thirty minutes later each group was given glucose 30 mg/kg bw. After 30 min of glucose loading, blood glucose levels of mice were measured, and measured again at minute 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes. The results showed that the glucose tolerance test EELK a significant effect in lowering blood glucose levels compared to controls at 30 and 60 minutes after administration of glucose. At minute 90 to 150, the effect of blood glucose levels EELK restore back to normal. EELK demonstrated ability to reduce blood glucose levels, and EELK doses of 50 and 100 mg/kg bw showed antidiabetic effects better than a dose of 200 and 400 mg/kg bw. Increasing doses showed antagonistic effects: the ability to increase blood glucose levels.</text>

<text>Sustainable development on cocoa farming have been places great emphasis on the management of natural resources for Cocoa pod husk. Until now, there has been much public attention for a farming waste, environment polluting and a place to develop various diseases, especially fungal Phytopthora. To overcome these problems, it needs to utilize alternative cocoa pods. The aims of this study were: (1) to determine the potential use of Trichoderma virens isolated from cocoa plantation in Aceh as bio-decomposer in the composting process cocoa pods. The composition of potential use experiment; Manure+Trichoderma (PT); Cocoa pod husk+Trichoderma (KT); Cocoa pod husk + Manure (KP); Cocoa pod husk +Manure+Trichoderma (KPT) has been tested. The analysis result showed that the combined use of Trichoderma virens compost although no effect on the color, texture and smell of compost but could be effect on characterized of compost maturity by characteristics of C/N compost. The content of C/N compost on all treatments in accordance with the standard compost maturity thus considered quite feasible to be applied to the crop.</text>

<text>Mosquito coils contain active compounds such as chlorpyriphos, dichlorphos, and d-alletrhrin which may be hazardous to the health. As majority of pesticides are stable heat, they can be changed into stable vapor state by column. a gas chromatographic method of analysis was developed. Gas chromatography for organophosphate compounds, namely chlorpyriphos and dichlorphos, with a OV-17 packed column, and a flame photometry detector equipped by filter for phosphor, which detecs phosphor containing compounds exclusively, avoiding any interference of other non phosphor compounds present in the sample matrix. Gas chromatography for a pyrethoid compound, d-allethrin, utilizes a HP-1 capilarry column with a flame ionization detector, and detect, any ionizable compound. The research was initiated by adjustment of the condition of gas chromatography system to obtain an appropiate separation of compounds a good shape of chromatogram and a tolerable retention time. With a flow rate of nitrogen 55 ml/min, column temperatures of 210oC, a detector and injector temperature of 230oC, the method gave a retention times chlorpyriphos of 6,47 minute and that of dichlorphos of 0,73 minute . The difference in retention time of chlorpyriphos and that of dichlorphos was caused by the difference in molecular weight of both compounds, thin dichlorphos with a smaller molecular weight (220, 98) was eluted faster than chlorpyriphos (350,6). For d-allethrin whit a flow rate of nitrogen gas of 40 ml/min, a column temperature of 180oC, a detector and injector temperature of 210oC, a retention time of d-allethrin of 3,28 minutes was obtained. The mosquito coils tested did not contain any chlorpyriphos nor dichlorphos, and some contained d-allethrin. The d-allethrin content obtained in one of the sample was beyond the tolerated limit.</text>

The zone is usually an assemblage of a variety mineral composition. The paragenetic minerals of the jade can be divided into four categories, which are Jadeite, Nephrite, Serpentine and Vesuvianit. The characteristics of the color were associated with a variety of constituent minerals which can be red, yellow, brown, gray, and black.
