TENORM focuses on the results of the waste industry. Testing the existence of TENORM in the industry has been made on the LNG plant in Aceh. The study aims at observing chances TENORM contamination at the factory working environment. The study was done by using Phytoremediation uses kale plants growing around an industrial environment. The analysis is done by calculating transfer factors from waste radioactive material into kale plants by comparing the results on the industry instead. The results showed that the value of measurements on samples of chopped watercress growing in the industry is higher than the count values in the samples grown in the industry instead. Increased count values above 100% when measured in the roots, stems and leaves. It is informed that the radioactive contamination of the environment from the possible gas industry TENORM contaminated presence in the neighbourhood</text>

<text>Personality and stress play an important role in our daily life. Stress will bring a positive effect, i.e. as a motivation if we can manage and handle it well. Therefore strategy of coping style is very important when one is under stress. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between personality type and coping with stress style among undergraduates of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Specifically, the aim is to find out whether types of personality will affect the coping style when an undergraduate is under stress. This study also investigates the influence of demographic aspects of gender, ethnicity and stream of faculty on the relationship. Data were collected using questionnaires which were distributed to a total of 370 undergraduates from various faculties. Psychological test tools of NEO Five Factor Inventory and Coping Inventory for Stressful Situation were used to determine the personality and coping style of the respondents. The data were analyzed using SPSS. The data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, nonparametric correlation and partial nonparametric correlation tests. The results show that there are moderate positive correlations between Conscientiousness and problem-focused coping style, and between Neuroticism and emotion-focused coping style. Besides that, there are significant weak positive correlations between Extraversion and Openness with problem-focused coping style. Nonparametric test shows that Agreeableness and Conscientiousness are different between the genders. Results also show that Extraversion and Conscientiousness personality types, and the Avoidance coping style are significantly different among the ethnics. A few suggestions were also given for further study in the future</text>

<text>Transportation sector has a dominant role in global fuel consumption andgreenhouse gas emissions consequently. Biodiesel is a renewable energy that has great potential to serve as an alternative fuel to fossil diesel in diesel engine. Besides the technical barriers, there are several nontechnical limiting factors, which impede the development of biodiesel. Therefore, this study is focused on biodiesel production and techno-economic comparison among palm, jatropha curcas and calophyllum inophyllum biodiesel as transportation fuel. Moreover, the present study attempts to find out the impact of biodiesel implementation towards the energy scenario, environmental and economy. The largest economic factor for biodiesel production is feedstock cost. Furthermore, replacing 5% of diesel fuel with biodiesel fuel in road transport can reduce theCO2 emission up to 1200 ktons in year 2031. When the subsidy policy and tax exemption are implemented, biodiesel fuel is more competitive than fossil diesel at the current production costs. Therefore, this study serves as a guideline for further investigation on biodiesel production and other limitation factors before the wider utilization of biodiesel can be implemented.</text>

<text>Rapid and non-destructive method to determine maturity quality of mangoes accurately has played an increasing role in the fruits supply chain involving automation. Diffuse reflectance spectra (R) and absorbance spectra (Log 1/R) in the spectral range from 900 to 1400 nm were measured using NIRS spectroscopy at three different points of 257 Indonesians mangoes cultivar arumanis, manalagi, gadong, gincu and golek of different ripeness indices. Through principle component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA) of the absorbance and reflectance spectra, cultivars can be differed with an accuracy of 99.8%. Multiple linear regression was applied to develop calibration models from mangoes with soluble solid content ranged between 5.5 and 13.5 % Brix and firmness ranged between 0.25 and 4.50 kgf. Log 1 /R calibration model could assess the soluble solid content and firmness of the mangoes with higher accuracy than R model with the coefficient of determination of 0.96 and 0.93, respectively. Results showed that NIRS spectroscopy has the feasibility to be employed in the maturity measures of Indonesian’s mangoes.</text>

<text>The objective of this study was to develop a soil erosion model for a microwatershed.  The selected watershed area was 2.64 hectares under forest area with plantation crops. Soil erosion factors identified were precipitation, stone cover, soil physical properties, height of vegetation, slope steepness and ground cover.  From this mechanism, values of permanent interception, soil cohesion, erosive rainfall intensity, evapotranspiration and infiltration was established. Composition of precipitation, evapotranspiration, infiltration and surface runoff was the water balance basis for the model structure developed.   Soil erosion equation (RMMF) model by Morgan was modified.  Secondary equation, the kinetic energy of leaf drainage (KE(LD)) was replaced with the kinetic energy equation.   Event surface runoff from the original equation of the model was enhanced; it was applied based on the water balance equation (Rs = P – ET – F).  Stone cover factor was added to the equation of energy because it has an effect to the raindrop impact. The new model was calibrated and validated by comparing the observed and adjusted soil erosion values for the selected rainfall-runoff event of May to September, 2012.  Analysis of data sets used in the calibration of the model yielded calibration equation of Adjusted Dt = 0.456*Dt – 0.878.  Data sets during the calibration had correlation coefficient of 90.30%, root mean square error (RMSE) of 27.5 % and coefficient of determination was 81.5%. Calibration equation was included in the model to come up with the final equation that determined total soil erosion rate. In the validation of final model, adjusted detachment rate and the observed value posted 97.9% correlation with root mean square error of 56%. The model could be used as prediction measure in the design and construction of channel structures as well as soil and water conservation practices that may reduce soil erosion.</text>

<text>. Phage therapy is not new because it has been practiced since the early 1900s to cure diseases such as shigellosis, typhus and dysentery that caused by bacteria. However, when antibiotics were discovered in 1941, this antibacterial therapy was quickly abandoned by most western scientists. Antibiotic treatment is usually prescribed to treat pathogenic bacteria E. coliO157:H7. However, since 1950s, the widespread resistance to antibiotics has raised public concern on development of alternatives to antibiotics. As a result of this resistance, there becomes a need for an alternative treatment to work synergistically with antibiotic to deal with bacterial infections. This has led to a new approach by the use of bacteriophage which is phage therapy. Once again, this treatment has received attention as an alternative method against bacterial infection. Phage therapy is the treatment on pathogenic bacterial infections by using bacteriophage which capable of invading bacterial cells and disrupting bacterial metabolism before lysing it. Phages are extremely host-specific and the natural enemies of bacteria. It soon becomes clear that there are huge numbers of bacteriophages existed and waiting to be isolated. Phage specific to E. coliO157:H7 was successfully isolated from sewage treatment sample. The appearance of plaques on lawn of E. coliO157:H7 plate indicates phage capabilities to infect and lyses the host cells. The isolated phage was further characterized based on its morphology, genomic profile, physicochemical attributes, and host specificity to assess their potentials to be developed as phage therapy against E. coliO157:H7. </text>

<text>A highly antibacterial of hollow fiber polyethersulfone (PES) membrane was prepared by loading silver nanoparticles within the PES graft acrylamide (AAm)-membrane. The grafted layers of AAm were provided the matrix for silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) entrapment. The characterization of the prepared hollowfiber (HF) PES membrane loaded with silver nanoparticles were examined by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). To examine the antibacterial property of the prepared AgNPs-AAm-PES membrane, the halo zone and the shaking flask test were carried out. In these tests, both of unmodified PES membrane and AgNPs-AAm-PES membrane were exposed to pure culture suspension of Escherichia coli (E. Coli) bacteria with the concentration of 107 CFU/ml. The viable bacteria formed within the membrane surfaces and themembrane circumferences were observed by the halo zone formation, while the percentage of bacteria killing ratio was determined by shaking flask test method. The TEM results showed that the silver nanoparticles were formed within grafted layers of AAm-PES membrane and the size of silver nanoparticleswere about 10 nm. The AgNPs-AAm-PES membrane were highly effective to prevent the membrane biofouling as shown by the clearly halo zone formation compared with the unmodified PES membrane. The shake flask test were also revealed that almost 99.9 percent of the E. coli bacteria were killed when theyhaving exposed to the AgNPs-AAm-PES membrane. This was due to the silver ions are allowed to release from its membrane surface</text>

The experiment was using factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor is Amendment (A) consists of 4 degrees: 0 t/ha, 4 t/ha, 8 t/ha and 12 t/ha. The second factor is the Varieties (V) consists of 6 kinds: Ciherang, Bestari, Inpari 4, Mekongga, Inpari 13 and Cibogo. The variables are: leaf area, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of grains per panicle, number of chlorophyll, 1000 grain weight and grain weight/ plot. Data were analyzed by F test and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT), further analysis by response curve. The yield of higher in order are Bestari, Ciherang and Mekongga. Compost treatments were significant in variable of leaf area and grain weight per plot. Whereas the varieties treatments were significant on number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of grains per panic and grain weight per plot. Combination treatments of compost and varieties were significant on grain weight per plot. Rice varieties suggested are Bestari, Ciherang and Mekongga its tend to have better resistance to higher grain yield than other varieties.</text>

<text>The interest on research methods using photograph and photo-interview has emerged in the last decade. However, some aspects of this method were less explained for further application. This review revealed the state of knowledge of photo-voice in qualitative nursing and health researches in order to provide an updated description on this method. Photo-voice is one of visual research methods to elicit information through participant-produced photographs and photo interview. The objective of this review was to explore the current applications of photo-voice regarding to the terms used, the framework underpinning the researches, the research designs, the concepts explored, the advantages and disadvantages identified and the guideline provided for future use. Based on the literature reviewed, photo-voice has proved its applicability to address sensitive issues and to provide richer data and deeper analysis. This research method could improve the comprehensiveness of the data produced and increase the participation of groups being investigated. The rich visual and narrative data collected by this method are considered appropriate to be applied in exploring the marginalized groups in a way that empower them. This method also opens the chance to involve other disciplines in a research team. Some issues to consider in applying this method are time-consuming and technical limitatiosn, as well as the challenges in maintaining the level of participation. However, the advantages of the method were more prominent, especially in balancing the power in research and empowering the participants. This method was recommended to use in researches conducted in oppressed or marginalized groups for the purpose of empowerment and producing indigenous knowledge of the groups</text>
