                <text>Abstrak: Sepakbola merupakan olahraga permainan dalam permainan sepakbola banyak hal yang harus dipelajari baik dari segi teknik maupun takti. Dalam menganalisis permainan sepak bola diperlukan tingkat kecerdasan intelektual agar bola sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Sedangkan kebugaran jasmani juga diperlukan untuk diperhatikan agar pemain sanggup bermain sampai akhir permainan tanpa kelelahan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah penerapan Lesson Study dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII-4 SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh untuk menguasai teknik permainan sepak bola? Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Lesson Study untuk ketuntasan pada pokok bahasan permainan sepak bola siswa kelas VIII-4 SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh melalui proses tindakan kelas untuk penyempurnaan ketuntasan pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan permainan sepak bola. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan Lesson Studi pada pokok bahasan permaina sepak bola di kelas VIII-4 SMP Negeri 1 Banda Aceh tahun 2011/2012 sudah ada ketuntasan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan data kualitatif yang di kuantifikasikan. Metode deskriptif adalah penelitian dengan menganalisis dan menyajikan fakta secara sistematis sehingga lebih mudah dipahami. Teknik pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan cara menentukan sumber data terlebih dahulu, kemudian jenis data, dan instrumen yang di gunakan. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektivitas pembelajaran menendang dan mengiring bola, indikator dari efektivitas pembelajaran adalah peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa. Maksud utama adalah memungkinkan 75% sampai 100% siswa untuk mencapai belajar yang sama tingginya dengan pembelajaran klasikal. Lebih lanjut dijelaskan bahwa belajar tuntas bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi belajar, minat belajar, dan sikap siswa yang positif terhadap materi pembelajaran yang sedang berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, taraf penguasaan minimal memiliki kriteria yaitu pencapaian 75% dari indikator setiap pokok bahasan.Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Ketuntasan dan Bermain Sepakbola</text>

                <text>Abstract: Strategy is an art to manage resources in order to achieve the goals effectively and efficiently. This study aimed to find out the capability of principal in establishing cooperation, including cooperation program between vocational high school (SMK) and business and industrial organization (DU/DI), mechanism of cooperation between SMK and DU/DI to improve the competence of graduates, and factors that influenced the cooperation between SMK and DU/DI. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. Techniques of data collection used were interview, observation, and documentation study. Subjects of this study were DU/DI, principal, vice principal for public relations, and school counselors in State SMK 3 of Banda Aceh. It was found from the results of the study that the cooperation programs between SMK and DU/DI were shown from the school’s vision and mission, the formulation of curriculum, the implementation of cooperation and the assessment report of cooperation. The mechanism of cooperation was shown from the agreement of both parties in the form of MOU in the implementation of industrial practice and other cooperation, which were guest speaker, the implementation of competency test, and other seminars. Factors that influenced the cooperation between SMK and DU/DI in improving the competence of graduates were shown from the involvement and the commitment of school personnel in formulating school’s regulation and profile. It is hoped that the principal and vice principal for public relations can foster the cooperation continuously. The cooperation that bases on the MOU should be socialized, so that both parties can exercise their rights and fulfill their obligations effectively. It is also hoped that State SMK 3 of Banda Aceh and the stakeholder can be more communicative in establishing cooperation in improving the competence of graduates of State SMKN 3 of Banda Aceh.Keywords: Strategic Relations and Cooperation Competency SMKAbstrak: strategi merupakan seni untuk mengelola sumber daya agar mampu mencapai sasaran yang dituju dengan efektif dan efesien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam menjalin hubungan kerjasama, meliputi: Program kerjasama SMK; Mekanisme kerjasama SMK dengan DU/DI untuk meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan; dan Faktor yang mempengaruhi hubungan kerjasama SMK dengan DU/DI. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah DU/DI, kepala sekolah, waka humas, dan guru pembimbing pada SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian ditemukan: Program SMK yaitu merumuskan visi dan misi sekolah, penyusunan kurikulum bersama, dan menjalin kerjasama dengan DU/DI; Mekanisme kerjasama SMK dengan DU/DI tergambar dari adanya kesepakatan kedua belah pihak  dalam bentuk MOU dalam pelaksanaan prakerin , kerjasama lain adalah guestpeaker, pelaksanaan uji kompetensi, audiensi dan seminar lainnya; dan faktor yang mempengaruhi hubungan kerjasama SMKN3 dengan DU/DI dalam meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan adalah terlihat dari adanya keterlibatan dan komitmen bersama tenaga personil sekolah dalam penyusunan regulasi dan profil sekolah. Diharapkan kepada kepala sekolah dan waka humas agar program kerjasama dengan DU/DI terus dibina secara berkesinambungan, kerjasama yang dilaksanakan dengan dasar MOU harus disosialisasikan agar kedua belah pihak dapat melaksanakan hak dan kewajibannya secara tepat guna, kepada SMKN 3 dan stakeholder agar lebih komunikatif dalam menjalin hubungan kerjasama dalam meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan pada SMKN3 Banda Aceh.Kata Kunci: Strategi Hubungan Kerjasama dan Kompetensi Lulusan SMK</text>

                <text>Abstract: The production unit is a process of business activities conducted in schools, is business (profit-oriented) with the perpetrators of the school community, optimize resources and environment schools, in various forms of business units according to the ability of a professionally managed in a real effort and make changes in a rational way in an effort to improve student learning outcomes. And strategy development is a business unit of production or activity that is sustainable in managing school resources to produce goods or services that will be sold to benefit optimally. This study aimed to determine the units of production development strategy, what factors are inhibiting factors that supported. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research subject is 1 (one) the principal and 1 vice principals and head of public relations skills program. The results showed that, 1) entrepreneurship program by the principal to improve teacher performance by involving the vice principal and head of programming skills, to develop the program of activities of production units, production units make promotional activities, inventory constraints, and evaluate the implementation of the production unit. 2) The unit of production by the school community to improve teacher performance and increase the quality of students. 3) The techniques are done selecting students who are involved in the production units should be more selective. 4) Follow-up to keep the products produced have the quality, 5) inhibiting factor in the implementation of the production units is limited tbsp field of promotion of learning, so often get stuck with a pattern on a particular skill program.Keywords: Unit Production, Quality Education and Self-RelianceAbstrak: Unit Produksi merupakan suatu proses kegiatan usaha yang dilakukan di sekolah, bersifat bisnis (profit oriented) dengan para pelaku warga sekolah, mengoptimalkan sumber daya sekolah dan lingkungan, dalam berbagai bentuk unit usaha sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dikelola secara profesional dalam upaya yang nyata serta mengadakan perubahan dengan cara yang rasional dalam usaha meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dan strategi pengembangan unit produksi merupakan suatu usaha atau aktivitas yang berkesinambungan dalam mengelola sumber daya sekolah untuk menghasilkan barang atau jasa yang akan dijual untuk mendapatkan keuntungan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan unit produksi, faktor-faktor apa saja yang menghambat, faktor-faktor apa saja yang mendukung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek Penelitian adalah 1 (orang) kepala sekolah  dan 1 orang  wakil humas kepala sekolah dan ketua program keahlian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, 1) program kewirausahaan (unit produksi )  dan dapat diketahui arah program. meningkatkan kinerja guru dengan perencanaan kegiatan unit produksi yang baik didalamnya tenaga kerja terleksi, sesuai tupoksi kerja, dan kebutuhan kegiatan unit produksi terpenuhi dengan menyusun program kegiatan unit produksi, membuat promosi kegiatan unit produksi dan dapat diketahui arah program. 2) Pelaksanaan unit produksi dapat  meningkat ketrampilan  siswa. 3) Sumber daya manusia sesuai dengan bidang studi produktif dan memilih siwa dengan sistem blog riley yang terlibat dalam unit produksi. 4) Tindak lanjut menjaga produk yang dihasilkan agar punya kualitas dengan system quality control (QC). 5) Faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan unit produksi adalah keterbatasan sdm bidang promosi pembelajaran, sehingga sering terjebak dengan pola pada program keahlian tertentu saja.Kata Kunci:  Unit Produksi, Mutu Pendidikan dan Kemandirian</text>

                <text>Abstract: School based management is a management which gives the bigger authority on the school in making and implementing the policies in empowering the teachers. The empowering teachers’ purpose is to improve the teachers’ ability in developing the quality’s learning. This research intends to get the data of the SBM implementation in empowering the Junior high school teachers in Banda Aceh by using descriptive, qualitative research’s method on the headmaster, vice of the headmaster and teachers as the subjects of the research. The techniques in collecting the observation’s data are interview, study of documentation and qualitative data analysis, this research summarizes that (1) the headmaster has already arranged the SBM program in empowering teachers comprehensively. (2) The implementation in empowering the teachers has already been done based on the intended purposes and (3) the obstacles which are faced in implementing SBM in empowering the teachers is the situation and the way of the teachers’ work still poorly in general.Keywords: The school based management in empowering the teachers.Abstrak: Manajemen berbasis sekolah adalah pada manajemen yang memberikan kewenangan yang lebih besar kepada sekolah untuk membuat dan melaksanakan kebijakan-kebijakan dalam pemberdayaan guru. Pemberdayaan guru bertujuan menambah kemampuan dan keterlibatan guru dalam membuat program mengembangkan pembelajaran berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data tentang implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dalam pemberdayaan guru SMPN 6 kota Banda Aceh dengan mempergunakan metode penelitian diskriptif kualitatif subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru, teknik pengumpulan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan analisis data secara kualitatif, peneliti memberi kesimpulan. 1)Kepala sekolah telah menyusun program MBS memperdayakan guru yang koperensif 2)Pelaksanaan pemberdayaan guru dilaksanakan sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai dan 3) hambatan yang dihadapkan dalam penerapan MBS dalam pemberdayaan guru adalah situasi da cara kerja umumnya masih rendah.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah untuk Pemberdayaan Guru</text>

                <text>Abstract: School based management is one of management concepts which aims to increase the quality of education by giving a broad autonomy to a school. This research aimed to find out the implementation of school based management in State Senior High School 5 Banda Aceh. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The techniques of data collection were carried out through interview, observation, and documentation study. The subjects of research were the principal, the vice principal, the teachers, the administrative staffs and the committee of State Senior High School 5 Banda Aceh. The results of research showed that: (1) the implementation of school based management in curriculum affairs was begun from designing vision, mission, school objectives, learning program, division of task, extracuricular and curricular activities, syllabus development, lesson plan, teaching schedule, structure, and academic calendar; (2) student affair has been appropriate to the program, which includes acceptance of new students, activity of student orientation period, determination students in a particular class, students’ attendance and discipline at school eventhough there were still students who were not discipline; (3) in field personnel, the recruitment was still managed by a local government; coaching and professional development of teachers were implemented through training activities, subject teachers’ forum, giving a permission for higher education and doing a supervision; meanwhile, mutation and pensioners were still managed by a local government; (4) financial management was carried out by establishing source of funds and analysing needs, budget allocation, supervision and reporting which invoved school stakeholders; and (5) in terms of relations with the community, it has been run well, and it is directed to achieve school objectives and to do a socialisation about school-based management as an effort to involve a community for its active participation to help school.Keywords: School-based Management and Quality of EducationAbstrak: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah merupakan salah satu konsep manajemen dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dengan memberikan otonomi luas pada sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  pelaksanaan manajemen berbasis sekolah pada SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, tata usaha dan komite SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah dalam bidang kurikulum dimulai dari penyusunan visi, misi, tujuan sekolah, program pembelajaran, pembagian tugas, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, pengembangan silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), jadwal pengajaran, struktur dan kalender pendidikan; (2) bidang kesiswaan, sudah sesuai dengan program meliputi penerimaan siswa baru, kegiatan masa orientasi siswa, penetapan siswa pada kelas tertentu, kehadiran dan disiplin siswa di sekolah. namun masih adanya siswa yang kurang disiplin; (3) bidang personalia, rekruitmen masih diatur oleh pemerintah daerah, pembinaan dan peningkatan profesional guru dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pelatihan, MGMP, memberikan izin untuk pendidikan lanjutan dan melakukan supervisi, sedangkan mutasi dan pensiunan juga masih dikelola oleh pemerintah daerah; (4) dalam pengelolaan keuangan dilakukan dengan penetapan sumber dana, menganalisis kebutuhan, alokasi anggaran, pengawasan dan pelaporan dengan melibatkan stakeholder sekolah; dan (5) dalam bidang hubungan dengan masyarakat sudah berjalan dengan baik, diarahkan untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah dan melakukan sosialisasi tentang manajemen berbasis sekolah sebagai upaya melibatkan masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi aktif membantu sekolah.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan</text>

                <text>Abstract: Strategies of principal is an important factor in determining the success of the improvement of school quality. This study aimed to describe the strategies of principal from the planning, implementation, supervision, and obstacles in improving education quality. To achieve the goal, this study used qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection through observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis procedure were data reduction, data display, and data verification. Subjects of this study were principal, vice principal, and teachers. The results of the study showed that (1) The strategies of principal in improving learning effectiveness conducted by teachers with the suggestion that teachers’ discipline should be improved and teachers should prepare lesson plan, (2) The strategies of principal in improving teacher potential by conducting various trainings and technical guidance, and teacher have to equip themselves with quality reading, (3) There was no obstacle in the condition of school staff/personnel and teachers but there were obstacles in facility and infrastructure especially the classrooms condition which were inadequate, the school did not have multipurpose building, and the school environment condition was plagued by inconvenient vehicles and public transportations. Keywords: Strategies of Principal and Education Quality. Abstrak: : Strategi kepala madrasah merupakan faktor yang penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan peningkatan mutu dimadrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendesripsikan strategi kepala madrasah dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan hambatan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Observasi, Wawancara dan Studi Dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data adalah Reduksi Data, Penyayian Data, dan Verifikasi. Sedangkan subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Madrasah, dan Guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru dengan anjuran kedisiplinan guru harus ditingkatkan serta perangkat pembelajaran harus di miliki oleh setiap guru (2) Strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan potensi guru dengan melakukan berbagai pelatihan dan bimtek serta guru membekali diri dengan bacaan yang bermutu (3) Kendala yang dihadapi kepala madrasah dalam implementasi strategi kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan tidak memiliki kendala bila dilihat dari kondisi staf/karyawan madrasah, kondisi guru di madrasah tetapi masih terkendala dengan sarana dan prasana terutama ruang kelas yang belum memadai serta gedung serbaguna yang belum ada sama sekali, sedangkan kondisi lingkungan madrasah terkendala dengan ketidak nyamanan kendaraan dan sarana transportasi pemerintah.Kata kunci : Strategi Kepala Madrasah, dan Mutu Pendidikan</text>

                <text>Abstract: Academic supervision is a series of activities to help teachers to develop their ability in managing learning process in order to achieve the learning goals. This study aimed to find out the description of academic supervision implemented by principal in State Junior High School 1 Lhoknga. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The subjects of this study were principal, vice principals, and teacher. The results of this study showed that: (1) the principal involved all school personnel in designing academic supervision program. The designing process was conducted at the beginning of school year and the program was applied for two semesters. (2) The principal’s strategies in implementing academic supervision were preparing academic supervision instrument, providing socialization about the program plans to all teachers, carrying out a direct academic supervision to all teachers, and delegating the supervisor’s responsibility to all vice principals and some senior teachers that have been supervised. (3) The principal conducted follow-up academic supervision by giving guidance and trainings or Teacher Education Consensus Points to unprofessional teachers. The follow-up included the follow-up program of academic supervision, learning situation and factors that influence the students’ achievement, and some improvement that should be done. (4) The obstacle factors were the teachers who were unable to attend the supervision because of the reason they were sick and asked permission to follow training, the teachers who were not ready when the supervision was conducted. Keywords: Academic Supervision and PrincipalAbstrak: Supervisi akademik merupakan serangkaian kegiatan membantu guru mengembangkan kemampuannya mengelola proses pembelajaran demi pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang bagaimanakah  kepala sekolah SMP 1 Lhoknga dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan pengamatan (observasi), wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan dewan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepala sekolah dalam menyusun program kerja supervisi akademik dengan melibatkan peran serta seluruh personel sekolah, penyusunan program supervisi dilakukan pada awal tahun ajaran untuk dua semester. (2) strategi kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan implementasi supervisi akademik yaitu: mempersiapkan instrumen supervisi akademik, dengan dilakukan teknik yang secara individual dan kelompok baik secara langsung, tidak langsung maupun kolaboratif. (3) melaksanakan tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dengan memberikan pembinaan, mengikuti kursus-kursus maupun MGMP kepada guru yang belum profesional. (4) faktor hambatan, guru yang berhalangan hadir waktu pelaksanaan supervisi yang disebabkan karena sakit, izin dan mengikuti pelatihan.Kata Kunci: Supervisi Akademik dan kepala sekolah</text>

                <text>Abstract: The school management can mean everything pertaining to the management of the educational process to achieve the stated goals, both short-term goals, medium, or panjang.Tujuan term goal of this research was to determine the school management to improve the quality of education, to include: (1) Planning school programs; (2) The implementation of school programs and (3) Barriers faced. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, techniques of data collection is done through interview, observation guidelines, and documentation. Subjects were principals, supervisors and teachers in primary schools Boarding School Jar Pidie district. Research results found: (1) planning school programs include: teaching programs, including: the need of teachers sharing teaching duties, procurement of textbooks, teaching tools and props, procurement or development of school laboratories, procurement or development of school libraries, system of assessment of learning outcomes, and curricular activities; (2) The implementation of school programs that the strategy adopted to achieve the improvement of the quality of education, include: socialization program, SWOT analysis, problem solving, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of school programs; and (3) Barriers in planning school programs, among others, lack of community participation and economic difficulties so that their support for the management of low participating schools. It is expected that supervisors in order to direct and supervise principals in improving the quality of education on school program planning, program implementation and obstacles faced by appropriate, effective and efficient so that the quality of education in the schools can be improved.Keywords: Quality Management and the School of EducationAbstrak: Manajemen sekolah dapat diartikan segala sesuatu yang berkenaan dengan pengelolaan proses pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, baik tujuan jangka pendek, menengah, maupun tujuan jangka panjang.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dengan meliputi: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah dan (3) Hambatan yang dihadapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, pengawas dan guru pada SD Negeri Dayah Guci Kabupaten Pidie. Hasil penelitiannya ditemukan: (1) Perencanaan program sekolah mencakup: program pengajaran, meliputi: kebutuhan tenaga guru pembagian tugas mengajar, pengadaan buku-buku pelajaran, alat-alat pelajaran dan alat peraga, pengadaan atau pengembangan laboratorium sekolah, pengadaan atau pengembangan perpustakaan sekolah, sistem penilaian hasil belajar, dan kegiatan kurikuler; (2) Pelaksanaan program sekolah yaitu strategi yang diterapkan untuk tercapainya peningkatan mutu pendidikan, meliputi: sosialisasi program, analisis SWOT, pemecahan masalah, peningkatan mutu, dan pemantauan dan evaluasi pelaksanaan program sekolah; dan (3) Hambatan dalam perencanaan program sekolah, antara lain kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dan kesulitan ekonominya sehingga dukungan mereka terhadap manajemen sekolah ikut rendah. Diharapkan kepada pengawas agar dapat mengarahkan dan mengawasi kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan tentang perencanaan program sekolah, pelaksanaan program dan hambatan yang dihadapinya secara tepat guna, efektif dan efesien sehingga mutu pendidikan di sekolah tersebut dapat ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Sekolah dan Mutu Pendidikan</text>

                <text>Abstract: Quality education can be achieved if school implements appropriate strategic management. Based on the assumption and the weakness of school management nowadays, the writer is interested in conducting a study with the objective to describe and analyze the profile, implementation, and evaluation of strategic management in the effort to improve education quality in SMAN 10 Fajar Harapan State Senior High School. Subjects of the study were principal, vice principal, treasurer, school administrative office personnel, school committee, and teachers. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation study. The results of the study showed that the profile of the school described the visions, missions, goals, targets and school resources. The strategies were implemented through internal and external school activities described through school structural organization, teamwork, and the distribution of job, day and time of study, cost asset, curriculum, school promotion, new student enrollment, school culture, ethic code, school policy, geographical environment, demography, environment culture and community appreciation, government regulation, development of science and technology, involvement of school committee, partner institution and alumni, and strategy implementation in achieving national education standard. The evaluation was conducted continuously by involving top management and all personnel either in short, medium, or long term by using school and teacher self-evaluation instruments, and benchmarking in order to improve school performance and education quality.Keywords: strategic management and quality of education.Abstrak: Pendidikan bermutu dapat terlaksana bila sekolah mengimplementasikan manajemen strategi yang tepat. Beranjak dari asumsi tersebut dan permasalahan lemahnya manajemen sekolah dewasa ini, penulis tertarik melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis profil, implementasi dan evaluasi manajemen strategik dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan pada SMAN 10 Fajar Harapan dimana yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, bendahara, tenaga tata usaha, komite sekolah dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil SMAN 10 Fajar Harapan mendeskripsikan visi, misi, tujuan, sasaran dan profil sumber daya sekolah. Implementasi strategi pada SMAN 10 Fajar Harapan dilakukan melalui aktivitas lingkungan internal dan eksternal sekolah yang dideskripsikan melalui struktur organisasi sekolah, teamwork dan pembagian tugas sekolah, hari dan waktu belajar, aset pembiayaan, kurikulum, promosi sekolah, penerimaan siswa baru, budaya sekolah, kode etik, kebijakan sekolah, keberadaan lingkungan geografis, demografis, lingkungan budaya dan apresiasi masyarakat, regulasi pemerintah, perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, keterlibatan komite sekolah, lembaga mitra, alumni dan implementasi strategik dalam upaya memenuhi standar pendidikan nasional.                 <text>Abstract: Recruitment, selection, and replacement of the principal conducted in accordance with competence can improve the quality of education management. This research aimed at figuring out the description of process of recruitment, selection, and replacement and also the obstacles in recruitment, selection and replacement of State Junior High School principal at Education Agency of Banda Aceh. This research employed descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation technique. Subject of the research was principal and teacher at State Junior High School. The result of the research showed that: first, the recruitment process, the Education Agency prepared a recruitment program comprising of implementation and technical guidance of recruitment implementation for the candidates of principal, then there was an official announcement from the Education Agency. Second, the selection process on the principal candidates comprised of administrative selection carried out through the assessment of the completeness of documents and academic selection carried out through the assessment of the leadership potential and initial mastery of toward competence of principal. Third, the replacement process of principal candidates was conducted because there was principal vacancy caused by the transfer, retirement, and dismissal. Fourth, the obstacles in recruitment, selection, and replacement of the principalwere lack of interest of the teachers to run for principal and lack of the budget for principal recruitment. It can be concluded that the recruitment, selection, and replacement of State Junior High School principal are still ineffective and inefficient.Keywords: Recruitment, Selection, and Replacement of Principal</text>
