<text>Acute exacerbation of systemic lupus erythematosus in pregnancy complicated by severe preeclampsia was difficult to diagnose and treat. This is the case of Mrs Y, 26 years old in 24 weeks gestational age with severe preeclampsia with active exacerbation of systemic lupus erythematosus. She had suffered from systemic lupus eryhtematosus for three years before she got pregnant. When she came the blood pressure was 180/110 mmHg, protein urine +3. There was complaint of stiffness on muscle joints, facial flares, general weakness, and photosensitivity. She was hospitalized for seven days before she was discharged. Her blood pressure was controlled and lupus symptoms were controlled by antihypertensive agents and antiinflamation agent metil prednisolone. A week later she came back to our hospital. Her blood pressure was 190/110 mmHg despite having antihypertensive. She also complaint of joints ache, general weakness, facial flares, and no fetal movement. On ultrasound examination there was intra uterine fetal death. From this case, we would like to assess the patophysiology of systemic lupus erythematosus and worsening symptoms of severe preeclampsia which cause the mortality and morbidity of mother and baby</text>

This serial cases were to evaluate and analyze many factors which contributed to uterine rupture in Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh. Six serial cases of uterine rupture in almost one year (January 2011-Agustus 2011) were analyzed. There were six cases of uterine rupture. All cases happened in patients with previous caesarean sections. There were two cases in patients with classical previous caesarean section incision. One case happened in patient with previous caesarean section eleven months ago or short delivery interval. Two cases happened in prolonged of the second phase of labor more than 4 hours. One cases happened in second phase of labor less than one hour. Among six cases, there was one perinatal death in uterine rupture due to prolonged second phase of labor more than 5 hours. Previous classical uterine incision, second phase of labor, and inter-delivery time in previous Caesarean Section were contributing factors to the incidence of uterine rupture that can be predicted. So many ways can be used to prevent them</text>

<text>Written exam is the format most often used to assess the extent of student learning achievement. The advantages of written exam are more easily prepared and relatively more economical when compared with clinical examination test. Block’s written exam, especially on disaster management block is considered important because it will illustrate the students' competence at the end of this special block. This study is a qualitative research, aimed to evaluate the quality of test on disaster management block. The quality of the test were evaluated using qualitative method by deep interviewing 5 criteria of students. The result was analized using Miles and Huberman method and the themes emerged were: 1) The test item in disaster management block were fairly easy 2) Test items were in accordance with the competence of undergraduate, 3) The test item were congruent with the content material taught in this block. However, there were some weaknesses, including: 1) There were repeated items, 2) There were format of question that complicates matters without a clear purpose, 3) There were ‘easy to predict’ item questions, 4) Lack of variation of format. These problems might cause low discriminant items. Recommendation including continues improvement of item developers’ capability by integrate it within curriculum for faculty development programs</text>

<text>Early placental development can be determined by measuring placental growth factor or Placental growth factor (PlGF) through the mother's blood since the first trimester of pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplementation on the development didrogesteron placenta in pregnancy by measuring the levels of PlGF. This study is a randomized double-blind clinical trial (Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial) held at the Antenatal Clinic (ANC) at the General Hospital dr. Zainoel Abidin (RSUZA), Banda Acehto women of reproductive age in the first trimester in RSUZA ANC checkup. Nonprobability sampling sampling with consecutive sampling. In this study there were two groups of women of reproductive age who are not in pairs is given didrogesteron group A while group B received placebo. Measurement of PlGF levels in both groups performed before and after treatment. PlGF levels prior to treatment in Group A 25.95 pg/ml while Group B 40.80 pg/ml. PlGF levels after the measurement results given didrogesteron in Group A for 4 weeks gainedincreasing levels of PlGF is 212.15 pg/ml, whereas in group B were given a placebo for 4 weeks was 89.60 pg/ml. Data analysis was performed using bivariate analysis between supplementation didrogesteron and PlGFlevels using SPSS 17. Analysis of data for comparative analytical numerical information unpaired two groups: Group A: the results of a PlGF levels in pregnant subjects were given didrogesteron and Group B: the results ofa PlGF levels in pregnant patients given placebo. Unpaired t-test results of the two groups showed that the group receiving didrogesteron have elevated levels of PlGF were significantly (p = 0.000 or p < 0.05) compared with the placebo group were only given alone. From these results it can be concluded that the administration can trigger didrogesteron PlGF levels in women of reproductive age.</text>

<text>Urtica dioica (Stinging nettle) leaves have been used as a traditional medicine to treatrheumatoid arthritis, to alleviate rheumatic pain benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), diuretic and prevention of kidney stones by local people in Middle East region especially in Iran, Turkey and East Europe. Hence, this investigation evaluates the antidepressant effect of selected crude extracts in the forced swimming test (FST) and tail suspension test (TST), two models predictive of antidepressant activity. The acute treatment of mice with extracts by intra-peritoneal (i.p.) route significantly reduced the immobility time in the FST (50 and 100 mg/kg) and TST (50 and 100 mg/kg), as compared to positive controls (haloperidol and fluoxetine) at 1 and 10 mg/kg, respectively. On the third day of experiment, a significant decrease of mobility was observed for chloroform extract (CE I) and butanol extract (BE II) compared to first day. CE I and BE II led to reduction of immobility time, as the selected extracts with two doses administered were different compared to the control, in the FST method by 65.37% and53.92% for 100 mg/kg, respectively. However, CE I showed the best result compared to our positive controls. Similar results of increased antidepressant effect, that was, of immobility time depending on the concentration administered, were obtained with the TST method. Also our data showed that there was no significant differences between doses (50 and 100 mg/kg). The results suggested that the antidepressant action of the butanol extract and of U. dioica its fraction (BE II2) was mediated by an interaction with 5-hydroxytrptamine (5-HT). U. dioica showed a potential source for the isolation of important natural products with antidepressant-like properties. However, further studies are still required</text>

<text>In this work, cockle (Clinocardium nuttalli) shell waste is massively produced by many restorant in Banda Aceh Indonesia. The cockle (Clinocardium nuttalli) shell is known high calcium; therefore it is potential to be used as calcium source of catalyst for transesterification reaction. The aim of thisresearch is to study the synthesis and characterization of Clinocardium nuttalli shell. Clinocardium nuttalli shell was prepared by calcinating the shell at 500 and 800°C. Synthesis of solid catalys was employed for transesterification reaction of calophyllum inophyllum L. oil. The reaction was carried out in batch reactor at temperature of 65oC and ratio of mrthanol:oil of 3:1 - 12:1. The synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Analysis data by XRD confirmed that the obtained crystal calcined at 500 oC areCaCO3 calcite, CaCO3 veterite, and CaO. XRD patterns of the colcined shell at 800 oC shows sharp peaks of crystalline phase of CaO. The best characteristics is obtained at calcined catalyst of 800oC with molar ratios of methanol:oil of 12:1, i.e. density 0.832 g/cm3, viscosity 4.92 cst, and yield 84.1%.</text>

<text>Ground anchors are commonly exposed to both acidic and alkaline ground conditions depending on ground mineral content, soil/rock type, age and groundwater flow path. It is essential to understand the limitations to ground anchorage materials especially when exposed to aggressive ground conditions whilst in a stressed state. This study discusses about ground anchors and analysis of the ground anchor failure trigger by corrosion, which analysed by using difference software in previous study (ABAQUS) compare with simulation model analysed by 2D Midas/GTS. Numerical techniques may be very efficient for investigating the load transfer of ground anchors. The results of anchor failures in numerical modeling are different from previous study (field test results), practiced by first cement crack and then wire break. Recommendations are given for applying FEM (finite element method) analysis to the design of anchored stabilization systems, and also for analyzing design variables, and design loads, to achieve more efficient and cost-effective anchored stabilization systems. Several models or simulations are presented to illustrate the displacement and the load that applied to the anchor which analyzed by Midas/GTS software. However, the condition that the numbers of occurrence correspond to load of failures at the time of damages is caused as the consequence of material and model deviation</text>

<text>The research was conducted to determine the effect of Tiens Golden Harvest (TGH) fertilizer concentration and the varieties on growth and yield of Roselle, and also to examine the interaction between the two factors. The research was conducted in the Experimental field of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh, from June 2010 to November 2010. The material used was Roselle seed varieties, manure, TGH, using Factorial Randomized Block Design 4 x 2 in three replications. The first factor used was TGH fertilizer concentration (i.e. 0;5;10;15 ml/l) and the second factor was Roselle varieties (Sabdariffa and Altissima). So, we were conducted 8 combinations of treatments which were designed into 24 units of experiments. The concentration of TGH fertilizer significantly effect on plant height on 15 and 30 days after planting (DAP), the diameter of the base plant’s stem on 15 DAP, the number of calyx per plant and the weight of calyx without seeds per plant for 5 times harvest. The best growth and yield of Roselle plant result was found in using TGH 10 ml/l of water. After 5 times harvest, using 10 ml/l TGH we got 54.93 calyx/plant with 43.33 dry weights. Variety significantly effect on the plant length on 15 and 50 DAP, the diameter of the stem on 15 and 50 DAP, and Roselle calyx fresh weight for 5 times harvest. The growth and yield of Altissima variety on this experiment was better than Sabdariffa variety. For 5 times harvest of Altissima variety, the number of calyces per plant was 46.47, the fresh weight was 457.60 g and dry weight was 39.09 g. There was a significant interaction between TGH fertilizer concentration and Roselle varieties on the stem diameter 50 DAP and the fresh weight of calyx. The best growth and yield of Roselle showed on the application of 10 ml/l TGH fertilizer to Altissima variety, with total fresh weight calyx was 457 g.</text>

<text>Local economical substrates namely rice bran and unprocessed brown rice was applied into fermentation condition to produce a potent secondary metabolite compound, lovastatin. A basis condition of fermentation viz. 70% (v/w) of moisture content (adjusted to pH 6.0), 1x107 spore/ml of inoculum size, mixture of 1:1 substrates and 7 days of incubation period, was applied into SSF system. During a preliminary test, all of 72 fungi disclosed positive dark spot onto the thin layer chromatography plate (TLC). In order to verify the existence of lovastatin, the secondary screening which involving high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was conducted. Out of 72, only 71 fungi were detected as lovastatin producers and the highest production was stated from SAR I isolate with 68.72±0.84 mg lovastatin/g dry substrate and 0.87±0.03 mg glucosamine/g dry substrate of fungal growth. SAR I isolate was identified via colony and microscopic morphologies. Through the observations, SAR I isolate was identical to Aspergillus niger</text>
