<text>Pegagan (Centela asiatica [L] Urban) contains alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, triterpenoid and tannin that have antibacterial activity. Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae are most common of bacteria that cause pneumonia. This study conducted t odetermine the effect of ethanol extracts of pegagan in inhibiting the growth of S. aureus and K. pneumoniae that caused pneumonia. The type of this study is a laboratory experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD). Testing of inhibitory growth effect was measured by Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method. The results showed that ethanol extracts of pegagan at 12.5%, 25%, 50% and 75% concentrations formed inhibition zones on the growth of S. aureus, on average respectively of 7.00 mm, 9.20 mm, 13.20 mm, and 14.50 mm, whereas on the growth of K. pneumoniae, it didn’t form any inhibition zone. The results of ANOVA and Duncan (α=1%) tests showed that ethanol extracts of pegagan at all concentrations made a significant difference in inhibiting the growth of S. aureus compared to negative and positive control. The ability of ethanol extracts of pegagan to inhibit the growth of S. aureus at 12.5% and 25% concentrations categorized as no inhibitory growth effect, whereas 50% and 75% concentrations categorized as weak inhibitory growth effect. While the ethanol extracts of pegagan at all concentrations of the tests categorized as no inhibitory growth effect for K. pneumoniae. It can be concluded that ethanol extracts of pegagan inhibit the growth of S. aureus, but do not inhibit the growth of K. pneumoniae.</text>

<text>This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanol extract of leaves bangunbangun (Coleus ambonicus L) antibody titer as humoral immunity and body weight in Wistar strain rats by using the sheep red blood cells (SRBC) as antigen. This study used 24 male white rats were randomly divided into fourtreatment groups consisting of six rats. The first group was given distilled water as a control, the second group was given 500 g / kg ethanol extract bangunbangun (EEC), the third group was given 500 g / kg EEC SRBC, and the fourth group was given distilled water+SRBC. EEC was administered orally every day for thirty days. SRBC administered intraperitoneally of 0.1 ml on day eight and day fifthteen. On day 31, blood was collected by decapitation, and collected in a tube that has been coated with an anticoagulant, and centrifuged to obtain serum. Antibody titers were measured by haemagglutination method. Weight gain is obtained by calculating the difference in initial weight and final weight of research. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed by ANOVA and LSD test. Results of data analysis showed that administration of EC for 30 days in rats can increase the antibody titer significantly, and administration of EC for 30 days in rats didnt influence the gain of body weight</text>

<text>Innovation in the art of Indonesian batik making has triggered a larger consumption of the material for both formal and informal events.  Along with the development of the art, batik has become a trend with a new decorative look that is unique, interesting and varied. Lately, indulgence in the use of batik in Yogyakarta has led to increased waste in the form of the remnants. Batik remnants in Yogyakarta that continue to accumulate and not used will have a negative impact and cause environmental pollution. The purpose of this research is to build an innovative application on the utilization of industrial wastes that is the recycling of batik remnants into products of economic value.  It is expected that utilizing batik remnants can produce creative and innovative womens’ wear. The objectives are to create a number of artistic designs from batik remnants and at the same time save the environment. A total of four contemporary womens’ wear from batik remnants produced into prototypes. With creativity, innovation and exploration, batik remnants in Yogyakarta which are no longer used can be recycled into womens’ wear, which are high in economic value, and at the same time can help reduce environmental pollution</text>

<text>There are some water basins in Iran. The Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea are the best examples. Also there are some rivers in Iran that are originated from them, for example: The Karoon river and Kore river. The The Karoon river is the biggest one in Iran. It passes from Khuzestan state cities. In Shushtaras an aincient city in Khuzestan, this river has a meander through itself and so a setting dam was built in its route. The setting dam named "Bande Mizzan" divides the The Karoon water flowing to another artificial crevasee named "Gar-Gar". The shape and area of the windows on the dam for controlling water currents follow hydraulic and civil engineering concepts. By this, it would be possible to prevent destruction of the coastal zone in Shushtarand coastal erosion has been decreased notably. In fact there are 9 gates as controlling windows on the face of the The Band-e-Mizzan with a scientific engineering view. The hydraulic pattern used in building the dam is followed for other setting dams in Iran. It has been useful to protect coastal zone in cities near rivers and use river water in life and agricultural well. Deby of water flowing through the gates in the dam is calculated and sedimentation has a very small value. Following civil engineering regulations would be useful in building coastal cities and ports like Shushtar In this paper, we model dominant current deby in the meander in rout of the The Karoon river, Shushtar domain</text>

The adsorption behavior by modified bark followed the Langmuir isotherm model and the Freundlich isotherm model for modified bark. The maximum adsorption capacity of lead(II) ions are 34,98 mg adsorbate/g adsorbent for unmodified bark when contact time is 60             minutes. The influence of contact time showed that adsorption reached the equilibrium rapidly. A batch adsorption model followed the pseudo second order kinetic.</text>

<text>Recently, there has been significant research interest in cogasification of coaland various types of biomass blends to improve biomass gasification and syngasproduction. In addition, ash present in biomass catalyses the gasification of coal. This experiment was conducted on the cogasification of various types of coal and biomass using drop tube gasifier under two sets temperatures 1173 and 1273K respectively. Most of the reactions are considered as endothermic, the heat input is needed to conduct the reactions. The additions of biomass to NL coal during co-gasification give no effect on gasification, since the reaction is endothermic. The increasing temperature from 1173 to 1273K only give small increase in the yield gas and efficiency due to the short of residence time</text>

<text> Abstract. The bioetanol development from biomass bases on lignocellulose like pulp of coffee is one of alternative energy which has potential to be applied in Indonesia. Beside of raw material sources that are so many in our country, the process is also environmentally friendly. Conversion of coffee pulp becomes ethanol using Simultaneous Sacharification and Fermentation (SSF) technology by cellulase had been done on this research. Sacharification process or hydrolysis process, cellulase enzyme will break cellulose polymer becomes glucose. Then, glucose through fermentation is changed to ethanol by using yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This study using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with factorial pattern consisting of two factors. Factor I is the optimum pH (P) consists of three standards are: P1 = 4, P2 = 4.5, P3 = 5. Factor II is the incubation time (fermentation) (T) consisting of four standard that is T1 = 24 hours, T2 = 48 hours, T3 = 72 hours, and T4 = 96 hours. Pretreatment to break the lignin is done by soaking in 2% H2SO4 for 20 hours in the erlenmeyer. The analysis performed consists of the initial analysis and final analysis. Initial analysis consisted of analysis of water content, pH analysis, levels of cellulose and glucose levels, against the skin of the coffee pulp before the simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF), whereas the final analysis included analysis of ethanol content, the analysis of cellulose and glucose from a solution of ethanol produced. The optimum pH treatment (P), incubation time (fermentation) (T) and interaction optimum pH and incubation time (fermentation) (PT) has very significant (P ≤ 0.01), on levels of ethanol produced. The highest levels of ethanol obtained by fermentation of 96 hours and the optimum pH 4.5 and 5. Ethanol content is obtained that is equal to 6% and 6.07%. </text>
