<text>Trichoderma virens have been isolated from rooting cocoa in Aceh and in the laboratory have been reported capable of inhibiting the growth of P. palmivora in vitro. However, the formulations of T. virens from Aceh can be used as an alternative product for farmers in controlling black pod disease of cocoa. This research was conducted t the Laboratory of Plant Pathology College of Agriculture Syiah Kuala University and cocoa fruit samples obtained from cocoa plantations owned by farmers in Pidie Jaya District of Aceh. The purpose of the study was to obtain an application formulations strains of T. virensfrom Aceh, as one of the biological control study consisted of seven treatments, namely W (water), Pest (Mancozeb Fungicide), Det (Detergent), Det+Tv( detergent+strainsof T.virens), P+Tv (Adhesive +strainsof T.virens), Co+Tv( Corn Oil+strainsof T.virens), Po+Tv (Palm oil+strainsof T.virens) and each treatment was repeated 10 times to obtain70 experimental units. The parameters observed incubation period, disease incidence (%), and the diameter of the spots (cm). Application results show that the strains of T. virens Origin Aceh effective in controlling P. palmivora on cocoa pods and the best formulation in controlling P. palmivora on cocoa pods are corn oil+T. virens formulation (Co +Tv) compared with other formulations are characterized by the length of the incubation period, the low incidence of P. palmivora disease, and the small diameter of the spots on the cocoa pods.</text>

<text>Cissus quadrangularis Linn (Cq) is a rambling shrub, characterized by a thick quadrangular fleshy stem and widely used to cope with joint pain, syphilis, venereal disease, and osteoporosis. This plant is containing calcium, phosphate and phyto-oestrogens. Hence the objective of the present study was to evaluate effect of the C. quadrangularis on bone recovery of rat. Blood was drawn once each 30 days to analyze serum calcium and phosphate concentration in blood. Rats were sacrificed to analyze bone histology. Os tibia fibula slice was stained with Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) method to observe osteoblast and osteoclast density, and Masson trichrome to observe trabeculae structure. ESP administration at longer period on treatment rats (OV-2) leads to more radiopaque bone mass than other groups including control group but osteoclast density is lower</text>

<text>Eurycoma longifolia, known locally as ‘Tongkat Ali’ in Malaysia, is popularly sought out as herbal remedy in many parts of South East Asia. Consequently, this has resulted in the indiscriminate collection of the taproot from the wild, leading to fears of extinction among conservationists. Agrobacterium rhizogenes is a naturally occurring soil bacterium that infects injured plants and causes a massive proliferation of roots, known as hairy roots. The objective of this study is to determine the transformation efficiency of 2 different strains of Agrobacterium rhizogenes on somatic embryos of Eurycoma longifolia using transient GUS expression as an indicator of successful transformation. Somatic embryos cultured in vitro for 4 to 5 weeks were used as explants and were pre-cultured for 2 days in full strength MS medium containing 0.5 mg/L IBA added with 1% PVP and 2mg/L DTT. The explants were transformed using Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains AR12 and AR14. GUS assay was carried out 1 week after transformation and observed. Observations indicate that AR12 is more effective in transforming somatic embryos of Eurycoma longifolia compared to AR14. Therefore, Agrobacterium rhizogenes strain AR12 is a potential candidate for the successful transformation of Eurycoma longifolia somatic embryos, leading to the induction of sustainable hairy root cultures</text>

<text>Malathion and Fendona® (alphacypermethrin) insecticides were tested against larvae and adult stages of house flies, Musca domestica Linnaeus. The percentage mortality of House flies larvae range between 0% and 100%at different exposed dose rate of tested insecticide. Probit analysis was used to determine the LD50. The value LD50 for malathion without food medium was 0.833 -l/larvae and treatment with food medium was 0.895 -l/larvaerespectively. The LD50 for Fendona® without food medium was 0.545 -l/larvae and 0.870 -l/larvae for treatment with food medium. The LD50 values for Fendona® in both treatment was lowers compared with malathion, which meansthat alphacypermethrin is more toxic than malathion. Different with the test on adult house flies, the knockdown time values for alphacypermethrin at KT50 is 9.876 minutes and KT95 is 20.495 minutes against female adult house fliesand were significantly lower than malathion (KT50 is 75.17 minutes and KT95 is 103.38 minutes respectively). Result also showed that a total of 1.0-l of Fendona® is reacting more effective than 1.0-l of malathion. Therefore, we canconclude that Fendona® is the most effective insecticide towards larvae and adult stage of M. domestica. The effectiveness of both chemicals was affected when treated larvae was in the rearing medium</text>

<text>This study determined if parental bonding styles affect the development of emotional intelligence of student nurses. A descriptive-correlational research design was used. The Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) developed by Parker et.al. (1979) was utilized to determine the bonding styles of the respondents’ parents interpreted as Neglectful Parenting, Affectionless Control, Optimal Parenting and Affectionate Control. The Emotional Intelligence (EI) questionnaire adapted from Weisinger’s EQ test instrument (1998) was also employed to measure the respondents’ EI in terms of self-awareness, selfregulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. To analyze the data gathered, Frequency and Percentage distribution, Chi-Square Test, and Pearson Correlational Coefficient were utilized. Results show that majority of the respondents perceived their fathers to have Affectionless Control parenting which corresponds to high protection and low care and their mothers to have Neglectful Parenting which corresponds to low care and low protection. It was found out that the parental bonding style of the respondents’ fathers has an effect only to their level of motivation and empathy. On the other hand, theparental bonding style of the respondents’ mothers affects the respondents’ EI as to self-awareness, selfregulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. Despite poor parenting, most of the respondents have moderately high to high level of EI which implies that there could be other factors that may contribute tothe development of a student nurse’s EI other than parental bonding style</text>

<text>Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is a field of study which dealing with understanding the dynamic of fluid under the influence of magnetic presence. The effect of MHD in a fluid flow has the potential in controlling the separation of flow, optimizing the heat transfer involved or manipulate the velocity of fluidflow. In this paper, the separation times and flow characteristics of a viscous fluid flow past a sphere are investigated in the presence of magnetic field. In order to solve this problem, the dimensional equations that govern the fluid flow and heat transfer are transformed into dimensionless equations by usingappropriate dimensionless variables. The stream functions are introduced to connect and thus having a function that can represent both velocity u and v. Similarity variables are used to deduce the dimensionless governing equations into a system of nonlinear partial differential equations. This system of equations is solved numerically by using numerical scheme known as the Keller-Box method. The results attained are presented graphically and in tabular form</text>

<text>There have been many controversies on how we should treat patients with preeclampsia, how and when we should deliver the baby. This case report is purposed to evaluate one case of spontaneous parturition which ended up with vaginal delivery in one patient with preterm severe preeclampsia. We evaluate the best management which result in the best outcome for the patient and her baby. This is the case of Mrs N, 34 years old in 33-34 weeks gestational age with severe preeclampsia. When she came the blood pressure was 190/120 mmHg, protein urine +3. The blood pressure was controlled with nifedipine. The patient was given magnesium sulphate, N-acetyl cystein, and vitamin C as antioxidants. We were succeeded in completing two days of lung maturation with dexamethasone in order to give the best outcome for the baby. However, at the end, after two days of lung maturation, the patient started to enter the active phase of parturition spontaneously without labor of induction. We hypothesized that the high level of corticosteroid stimulated by the fetus initiated the process of labor. Patient delivered baby boy, 1300 grams, Apgar Score 7/8 that breathed spontaneously in room air. The patient’s condition was improving after parturition. Nifedipine, magnesium sulphate was considered the best management in pre-eclampsia. Short course of lung maturation with dexamethasone was also considered to be beneficial for the baby. However, the initiation of parturition and the use of antioxidant as well as n-acetyl cystein in this patients was under debatable discussion.</text>

<text>This research aims to obtain hematological database of healthy Sumatran orangutans (Pongo abelii) at the Sumatran Orangutan Quarantine Centre, in Batu Mbelin, Sibolangit, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This secondary datacomes from hematological examination results in 52 healthy Sumatran orangutans in Batu Mbelin, from May 2003 to August 2010. This research used a factorial complete randomized design (CRD) that has two factors namely, gender as the first factor and age as the second factor. Data was analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of ANOVA show that gender affects (P<0.05) on the value of mean cell hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) in Sumatran orangutans. Age influences (P<0.05) on the lymphocytes and monocytes Sumatran orangutans. The results of least significant different (LSD) test of the lymphocyte show that there are significant differences (P<0.05) between the lymphocyte value of infants and that of juveniles. The lymphocyte value of infant is also significantly different (P<0.05) that of adolescent. While the lymphocyte value of adolescent and juveniles are not significant different. The results of LSD test of the value of monocytes show that there is a very significant difference (P<0.01) between the monocyte value of infants and that of juveniles. Furthermore, the value of infant’s and adolescent’s monocytes issignificantly different (P<0.05). However, the value of adolescent’s and juvenile’s monocytes does not show any influences. Interaction of sex influences on the red blood cell (RBC) of Sumatran orangutans whereas age do notinfluences on the RBC. The results of Duncan test show that there are significant differences (P<0.05) between the RBC values of adolescent female orangutans and adolescent male orangutans. Other hematological values do not show any effects on both gender and age</text>

<text>End stage kidney disease (ESKD) is a disease where both kidneys are no longer functioning properly and patients require renal replacement therapy (RRT) such as haemodialysis to prolong their life. The numbers of modality for haemodialysis had increased, as the numbers of new patient of ESKD increased. In Malaysia, the numbers of new patient had increased three-fold for the past 10 years, from year 2002 to year 2012. In this paper, demographic data, clinical data and input and output of dialysis for the selected patients are presented. The post-dialysis urea concentrations for each patient with different weightfor one compartment model were simulated using MATLAB software. The simulated values of post-dialysis urea concentration were then compared with the clinical values of post-dialysis urea concentration for different weight. The simulated values of post-dialysis urea concentration underestimated the clinical value of post-dialysis urea concentration for patient with weight less than 70kg but overestimated to patient with weight greater than 70kg. The ratio of simulated values and clinical values of post-dialysis urea concentration were found to increase with the weight of patient</text>
