<text>This study aimed to verify the effect of relative humidity during incubation ofduck eggs in the incubator on the rate of decline in egg weight, hatching day old duck weight, length and hatching eggs energy difference duck. Duck eggs taken from the poultry business in Meunasah Krueng, water fence, Lambaro, Aceh Besar. Then each egg was placed in an incubator unit in the three experimental groups, namely low humidity (57/58% RH), intermediate humidity (67/68% RH) and high humidity (71/72% RH). Incubation process done manually with temperature 38 oC incubator. Eggs were coded X and O adjacent to facilitate marking a reversal in current twice a day. Primary data retrieval from the first day until the fifteenth day by weighing the eggs and using electronic scales. Changes in egg weight reduction on the fifteenth day following (10.666%), (3.853%) and (2.859%) for the treatment of low humidity, intermediate andhigh, then the day of hatching eggs weigh hatching day old duck also showed that the weight is also affected by incubation and humidity differences by ANOVA analysis it can be concluded that the changes in egg weight reduction greatly influence the hatching duck weight difference and the difference so long incubation energy hatching day old duckling have more energy at low humidity (57/58% RH).</text>

The research aim was to test the ability of the potential osmotic solution and fungicides to reduce seed germination. Completely randomized design with two factors and three replications, i.e: PEG 6000 (w/v): 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, 60% (potential osmotic solution) and fungicide (active ingredients were pyraclostrobin + metiram ) (g / 1 kg seed): 0 g, 10 g, 20 g, 30 g and 40 g, were applied. The results showed that PEG 30% can inhibit seed germination up to 9.07% and 37.47% and fungicides 40 g/1kg can reduce fungal attack during storage of 12 and 16 days. Combination of PEG-6000 30% and fungicides 40g / 1 kg could maintain seed storability by pressing the seeds germination up to 10.67% and fungal attacks up to 18.00% during storage of 16 days with 96.80% germination.</text>

<text>Few road traffic studies were conducted in Jordan, but the issue is drawing an increasing attention due to its growing magnitude and various impacts as a result of the high increase in vehicular traffic. This study further investigates the issue with the aim of providing an understanding of its social impact on residents of Amman, the capital of Jordan. Traffic noise levels were measured at selected locations along urban arterials and a social survey was performed to examine the reactions and attitudes of the neighboring residents towards these levels of traffic noise. The survey included social characteristics of individuals, and their attitudes towards traffic noise, and how it impacted their daily activities. A predesigned questionnaire was used for this purpose which included questions to evaluate the awareness of respondents of the problem and its environmental and health impacts. The financial impact that residents perceive of noise and the need for attenuation measures were also addressed. The results of the study also revealed that the impact of traffic noise on people can cause annoyance while performing daily activities were 24% of respondents reported that they get annoyed by traffic while working, 49% while resting, 34% while talking to others, 31% while talking on the phone, 39% while reading, 38% while watching TV and 53% of respondents get annoyed while sleeping. The respondents have also pointed out the following effects of noise: twist in mood (53%), headache (36%), and difficulty in concentration (40%). About 57% of respondents think traffic noise reduces the value of their properties and a total of 31% are willing to sell their house at reduced cost. About 59% of respondents consider attenuation measures necessary, and in order to reduce the noise, about 54% of respondents were willing to pay for attenuation measures which reflects the public awareness of the issue magnitude. Keywords: traffic noise, noise level, survey, social impacts.</text>

<text>Investigation of transformation method for sugarcane was carried out by using Agrobacterium tumefaciens with a vectors pMLH7133 that contained CaMV35S promoter and marker genes. Embryogenic callus and cell aggregates of suspension culture were used as the target materials for transformation. The aggregates cell was sonicated, and co-cultured with Agrobacterium tumefaciens. The cells were cultured in N6-2 medium containing an appropriate antibiotic to eliminate bacterial contamination. Embryogenic callus was co-cultured with Agrobacterium, and was also cultured in N6-2 medium as same as suspension culture. Selection was carried out by culturing the treated suspension culture and embryogenic callus with MS medium containing geneticin. The transformed calli were transferred to MS-R9s for shoot formation. The transformed cells were analyzed for the distribution of GUS activity histochemically. After histohemical staining with X-glux, light microscopy observation revealed that the transformed calli derived from the NiF4, Ni9, and NCo310 cultivars had blue coloration in its tissue. Thus, the gene for GUS appeared to have been transferred and to be expressed in the calli. The construct of pCL4 was also integrated in the bacteria. Transient expression of GUS gene was successfully confirmed in the transformed Agrobacterium. When we use suspension culture, the proportion of the calli showing transient GUS expression was 4.7-fold greater with the vector in pMLH7133. We also successfully produced transformed calli with higher level of transient GUS expression. The percentage of the calli showing the best transient GUS expression is pCL4. The embryogenic callus was more competent for transfer of T-DNA into sugarcane cells. Analysis of GUS activity indicated that the gene was expressed into the calli of sugarcane. The Results indicate that the promoter can serve as an effective regulatory element to produce strong expression in callus of sugarcane. When we inoculated embryogenic callus with Agrobacterium harbored binary vector pCL4, we also successfully produced transformed calli with higher level of transient GUS expression. Thus, the gene for GUS appeared to have been transferred and to be expressed into the calli. Putative transformed plants were tested by performing PCR and Southern Hybridization to confirm the integration and expression of the introduced genes.</text>

<text>Fermented milk is one of important source of human nutrition, but not every one able to digest it properly, which can cause lactose intolerance. One alternative solution is milk should be fermented. Lactose in milk is broken down into glucose and galactose by the starter culture activity and decrease the digestion problem. There are milk based syrup which is potential to be improved in Indonesia as diversification product of fermented milk. Research has been conducted in Milk Processed Laboratory, Agriculture Department, of Syiah Kuala University. The experiment divided in to two phase which were 1) to determine milk fementation process by different pecentage of bacteria and 2) making syrup by adding sugar in fermented milk. Completely Random Disigned (CRD) was used based on sugar and yoghurt ratio in several species of microflora. namely Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus acidophillus and Streptococcus thermophillus. Te result of the first phase showed that milk completely fermented by adding 5 percent of bacteria and significantly (p<0,05)effect the pH, lactic acid level and unsignificantly effect fat and protein level. In the second phase showed that the best syrup performance is 50 percent fermented milk added with 5 percent sugar. The addition of different percentage of starter very significantly (P<0,01) effect on pH, lactic acid level and also effect hedonic test. Furthermore, that treament given did not effect any of fat, protein, colour and aroma. In conclusion, percetage of sugar and starter addition will influence the flavor of fermented milk syrup </text>

Eaten style is raw then there is high risk to face with some disease as oyster is filter feeder. Physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory qualities after the oyster meat treated with the garlic juice at 0, 2 and 3 ml, respectively were monitored. Though initial pH of the control, untreated with garlic juice, was higher compared with the sample treated with 3 ml garlic juice, pH of it (control) was significantly lower (p<0.05) than the sample treated with the juice during storage. The total volatile base (TVB), chemical quality, values of all samples increased when increased storage time but not over 35 mg/100 g sample. During chilled storage, lactic acid content of all samples increased as storage time increased but the sample treated with the juice was higher compared with the control. A thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS), rancidity indicator, of the control was higher than the sample treated with the juice. K-value (%) of all oyster meats increased however; the lowest value was found in the control at end of storage, 12 days. Ammonia content of all samplesslightly increased during storage. Lactic acid content of the treated sample was higher than control after stored for 12 days. Both mesophilic and lactic acid bacteria of all samples tended to increase during storage. Mesophilic ofcontrol, sample-injected with garlic juice 2 ml and 3 ml increased from 3.89± 0.04 to 6.2±0.04, 3.62±0.18 to 5.89±0.06 and 3.57±0.02 to 6.04±0.10 log CFU/g, respectively at end of storage. Lactic acid bacteria of control andsample-injected with garlic juice 2 ml and 3 ml changed from 1.71±0.02 to 2.94±0.04, 1.79±0.09 to 4.63±0.08 and 1.84±0.04 to 4.82±0.10 log CFU/g, respectively. However, psychrophilic, coliforms, fecal coliforms, Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella spp. and Vibrio spp. were low throughout the storage. Consumer acceptability scores were higher than borderline (>5) at the end of the storage</text>

<text>Optimal planting date is one of the important factors affecting the wheat crop. Improper planting date can lead to a drastic decrease in wheat yield. Therefore, information about the adaptation of wheat plants at planting date at a particular location will benefit farmers in determining how best to utilize the wheat plants in each production system through morphological characters. Then conducted research The Impact of Differences Planting date against Morphology Character of some Wheat Genotypes in Berastagi of Karo district to determine the most appropriate wheat genotypes grown in Berastagi at certain times growing season through morphological characters. This research was conducted at Berastagi with two planting date (planting date I = late February to early June 2012 and planting date II = late October 2012 to early February 2013), using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) non factorial using 12 wheat plant, namely 2 varieties (Selayar / K and Dewata / L) and 10 genotypes that OASIS / SKAUZ / / 4 * BCN (A); HP1744 (B); LAJ3302 / 2 * MO88 (C); RABE / 2 * MO88 (D), H-21 (E), G-21 (F), G-18 (G); MENEMEN (H); BASRIBEY (I); ALIBEY (J). Observational data were tested with analysis of variance and combined analysis. The observed morphological characters were plant height, number of spikelet spike-1, number of grainspike-1 and grain weight spike-1. The results of analysis of variance and combined analysis showed that all parameters were observed give significantly different results for each planting date.</text>

<text>Increasing accessibility to health care services is a prime goal in many developing countries, purposively to create an equality health care services to the populations. However, there are peoples who still do not well-utilized the provided health care provision especially due to the financial reason. Willingness-to-pay (WTP) and Ability-to-pay (ATP) are two powerful tools to measure the health care services utilization in this study, as it would present the reflection of Acehnese purchasing power for health care provision in Aceh. The purpose of this study is to determine the risk factor for healt care utilization amongst outpatient at public hospital dr.Zainoel abidin Banda Aceh. Methods: cross-sectional study involved a total of 180 outpatient captured at polyclinic public hospital dr.Zainoel abidin Banda Aceh. Survey was carried out by using a tailor-made questionnaire comprised of four separated sections; patient’s sociodemography, perception, healthcare financing and insurance coverage. Data was statistically analysed by using SPSS software and had gone trough univariate analysis and multiple logistic regression. Majority respondents (83.9%) use public health care services. Their WTP as outpatient at public health care services majority in the range less than Rp.9000 while as inpatient they were willing to pay within the range of less than Rp.30.000. However, majority (71.1%) patients expressed their ability to pay for health care services were between Rp.15.000 to Rp.219.999. Most of the respondent do not have health insurance (64.4%). However, respondent that only able to pay less than Rp.15000 and between Rp. Rp.15000 to Rp. 219.999 for health care services have a preference of going to public health care provision rather than private to seek for health care services that is vice versa to those patients that have health insurance coverage both, patient’s ATP and possesion of health insurance coverage presented a significant different (p<0.05) with the public health care utilization in this study. The public health care utilization among Acehnese is closely influenced by two factors; their abillity to pay for health care services and their possession of health care insurance</text>

This study is approached by analysing the results of a field survey carried out using questionnaires, onsite measurements, and the relevant literatures. The further analysis in predicting the annual indoor thermal performance was conducted using TAS thermal analysis simulation software. The finding show that there is no significant difference in inside air temperature between thepost-tsunami housing and the unaffected existing housing (except traditional Acehnese houses). This study performs the actual indoor thermal performance in the post tsunami housing for couple of days and the predicted annual data of the houses simulated using TAS software. This information is valuable for both the government and Non-Governmental Organizations who carried out the post reconstruction programs in performing their „products‟ (donated houses) dealing with the long term local climate</text>

<text>The purpose of the research is to understand the influences of ocean and atmosphere to the formation of Super Typhoon Songda 2011. Daily SST from NOAA AVHRR with spatial resolution of 0.5° in latitude and longitude was used to study upper oceanic response to the formation of Typhoon Songda. Meanwhile, 3-hourly meteorological data from ARP model with spatial coverage of 0.5° Latitude x 0.5° Longitude cover 201 x 101 points from 25° N - 20° S and 70.0° E – 170.0° E as well as 13 levels of atmospheric columns was also used in the study. The study was also supported by MT-SAT satellite images. The result showed that from early disturbances until reaching mature stage of Typhoon Songda, SST over WNP reached averages temperature of 30˚C. Warm ocean waters continuously produce heat and moisture to the air that are necessary to fuel the genesis, development, formation and intensification of Typhoon Songda. The study also proved that light vertical wind shear (850 – 200 hPa) at about 0 – 5 knot was observed in the early development of Songda at 1800 UTC on May 19th. For the time being, weak vertical wind shear extended to the northwestern of Pacific Ocean. Thus, it made the system to moved toward northwest and reached category Super Typhoon few days later on May 26th. The study also showed the present of Monsoon trough. Monsoon trough occurred where easterly wind met the reversal southerly wind. The region was stretched from southeast to northwest part of WNP Ocean and designated by an extended low pressure area at the surface as well as extended bands of thunderstorms as observed by satellite imagery. On the other hand, potential vorticity shown in the present paper is useful to obtain an understanding of atmospheric motions and development of the upper-level disturbance. Potential vorticity maximum characterize strong vorticity and upward motion. Conversely, weak vorticity with downward motion is demonstrated by mininum potential vorticity.</text>
