<text>Abstract. Biogeochemical cycles in coastal ecosystem is influencing the water quality and it is further affect on productivity and sustainability of coastal waters. Carbondioxide is one of the important parameter in biogeochemical cycles in coastal waters, it is formed as DIC (Dissolved Inorganic Carbon) in water and TOC (Total Organic Carbon) in sediment. The purpose of this research was to determine the distribution concentration of dissolved CO2 in the southern coastal waters of Natuna Islands. Insitu measurement was conducted for some parameters of water qualities both physical (i.e. temperature and turbidity) and chemical (i.e. DO, pH and salinity) parameters. DIC was analyzed in LIPI laboratory using Giggenbach titration method, while TOC in sediment was analyzed in Proling Laboratory, Institut Pertanian Bogor. The water quality of the southern coastal waters of Natuna Islands generally in a good condition according to the Ministry of Environment Decree, Number 51, year 2004. The results showed that spacial distribution of DIC ranged from 1.9 to 2.3 mol/kg, while TOC content of the water was ranged from 0.25 g/kg to 1.19 g/kg. Sediment distributions were dominated by sandy, silty sand, sandy silt and coral reefs, therefore the sediment has potencial as organic carbon storage and indicates a good productivity. Keywords: Carbondioxide; Dissolved Inorganic Carbon; Total Organic Carbon; Natuna Islands Abstrak.

<text>Abstract. Sea ranching activity is highly depending on the ecology of coral reef condition. Floating cages activities in Semak Daun island has potential to produce waste along with organic waste from other anthropogenic activities in land and its will lead to eutrophication causing degradation of coral reefs. This study was conducted from May to July 2013. A survey method was used to obtain primary data. Data sets also supported by secondary data. Waste loads estimation of net aquaculture that enter the waters was 1178.1 Kg/ton of fish production (N 243.9 Kg/ton of fish and P 54.1 Kg/ton of fish). Estimated of anthropogenic waste load around the Semak Daun island was 4167 Kg N and 1738.8 Kg P. Based on N load, the carrying capacity of Semak Daun Island for grouper floating cages was 32 unit (192 raft) or 2 ha of 9.99 ha area that appropriate for floating cage activities. In addition, based on dissolved oxygen, the carrying capacity was 28 units (168 raft) or 1.6 Ha of 9.99 Ha area that appropriate for floating cage activities. Keywords: Sea Ranching; Organic waste; Carrying capacity; Semak Daun Island. Abstrak. Kegiatan Sea ranching sangat tergantung kondisi ekologi terutama ekositem terumbu karang.

<text>Abstract. Numerical hydrodynamics model MOHID based on General Ocean Turbulence Model formula was used to study the tidal current in Makassar waters. The data used in this model are tidal elevation and bathymetry data from GEBCO. The tidal current simulation was conducted for 30 days. Model simulation results show that the tidal current velocity ranged between 0,001 m/s – 0,012 m/s. The current velocity during neap tide is smaller than the velocity during spring tide. The pattern of tidal current in Makassar waters is dominantly flows towards westward and then turned heading northward direction. The simulation result of tide-induced residual current in verification point shows that the flows is ebb-dominant at a rate of 0,005 m/s heading westward direction.</text>

<text>Abstract. This research examines the influence of ENSO (El Niño and Southern Oscillation) in the Malacca Strait with the southern oscillation index using the Pacific Ocean in determining the condition of Normal, El Niño and La Nina as the analysis of mass transpor of sea water, sea surface elevation and the density of the sea. The research methods using the Navier-Stokes equations with force generating tides, winds from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Year 1980- 007, salinity(Levitus and Boyer, 1994a) and temperature (Levitus and Boyer, 1994b). Equations of motion of the sea water were modeled with the model of Hamburg Shelf Ocean Model (HAMSOM). The results show that the transport in northwestern part of the Malacca Strait is lower, but in the southeastern part is stronger compared to that of in Normal and La Nina events. While in Sea Level Elevation at El Niño event is lower compared to that of in Normal and La Nina events. For sea surface density, the density values are 18.5 s/d 20.5 kg/m3 while for the later 30-50 m, the values are 19-21 kg/m3. Sea surface density and density for layer 30-50 m in th southeastern part of Malacca Strait for El Niño events are higher than that of in normal and La Nina event. Key words: Sea level elevation, sea density and Hamsom model</text>

<text>Abstract. The objective of the present study was to analyze the budgetary trends and the effectiveness of fisheries subsidies in Aceh Besar district. The literature and survey methods were utilized in this study. The secondary data of Aceh Besar’s budget documents in the period of 2010-2012 and key person interviews with fishermen leaders were conducted to analysis the subsidy trend and fishermen perception. The data was collected in May through July 2012. The results showed the budget allocation to the fisheries sector were increased from year to year, in 2010 the total budget for the fisheries sector was Rp1, 9 billions (equivalent to 0.34% of total buget or 1.40% of the development budget allocation/indirect consumption), in it was increased to Rp2, 9 billion in 2011 (or 0.42% of total budget or 1.47% of the development budget allocation), then increased sharply in 2012 to Rp9, 2 billion (an increase of over 630%) from the previous year, equivalent to 1.11% of the total budget. In 2010, the proportion of subsidies were given mostly for aquaculture sub-sector, which reached 84% of the total budget that was managed by the Department of Marine and Fisheries of Aceh Besar, whereas in 2011 the proportion of subsidies occurred balance between aquaculture and capture fishery sub sectors. However, in 2012 most of the budget DKP Aceh Besar (63%) was allocated to the capture fishery sub-sector. The results of the study showed that fisheries subsidies by the Government of Aceh Besar district especially in the last two years have not yet met the criteria of sustainable fisheries subsidies. <text>Abstract. Light fishing in Pandeglang Banten has significantly developed in number of fishing fleet and using of lamp technology. The fishing ground of light fishing fleet dispersed from Labuan until Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon. The aim of this research is to map the fishing ground of light fishing using VIIRS-DNB data at August to November 2014. This research use descriptive analysis with case study on fishing ground of ligt fishing using VIIRS-DNB data in Pandeglang waters. The results show the fishing ground of light fishing at August to November spread from Lada Bay, Lesung Cape, Sumur District, selamat Datang Bay, until Panaitan Strait. In November, the numbers of fishing fleet have significantly decreased. The loft ofwind velocity in Sunda Strait caused big waves in Pandeglang waters. Moreover, light fishing fleet also move from coastal water to the sea to find the ideal depth. The fluctuation of fishing ground at August to November 2014 influenced by monsoon circulation that effectto current and water masses circulation there. It cause the changing of surface water fertility and influent to spreading of pelagic fish fishing ground as a main target of light fishing fleets in Pandeglang waters.Keyword: fishing ground; light fishing; Pandeglang; VIIRS-DNB Abstrak.

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the selectivity of the Rf < 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of putat air kernels (Barringtonia racemosa) on golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) and tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus). The research was conducted on November 2011 to February 2012 at Chemical Laboratory of Teacher Training and Education Facultyand Marine Chemical Laboratory of Coordinatorate of Marine and Fisheries of Syiah Kuala University. Thin-layer chromatography was used as the separation technique towards component compounds in the extract samples. The research was used five levels concentration of Rf < 0.5 fraction of MeOH solution (20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm) with three repetitions. Mortality rates of golden snails and tilapia were detected when they were exposure to Rf < 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of B. racemosa kernels. The data were analyzed by Probit, and selectivity value (S) was calculated by Feng and Wang formula. The results revealed that Rf < 0.5 fraction of MeOH extract of putat air kernels was selective to golden apple snails.Key words. <text>Abstract. The Port of Cirebon is one of the largest port in West Java Province. The main problem in the Port of Cirebon is shallowing of the shipping channel due to sedimentation. The objective of this research was to assess the dynamics of the the bathymetry of shipping channel in Cirebon Port. The data used in this research are bathymetric survey data and ocean current data in the year 2006 and 2007 that was measured by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II. Bathymetric map was created using Surfer program version 8.0. Research results showed that the shipping channel depth of Cirebon Port varies in the range of 0.36 m to 6.97 m in 2006 and 0.79 m to 6.87 m in 2007. During the period of the year 2006 to the year 2007 sedimentation was occurred that marked by the increase of the volume of the sediment surface reached 6,818 m3. The ocean current around the Port of Cirebon is dominated by the tidal current with the direction to the northwest and to the southwest parallel to the shoreline which transported sediment into the shipping channel of Cirebon Port. Keywords: Port of Cirebon; Bathymetry; Sedimentation; Ocean current.

<text>Abstract. A study of analysis of ENSO impact on streamflow of Cisangkuy watershed West Java using Rainfall-Runoff model was done. The study was analyzed by using GR4J model. Daily rainfall and potential evaporation are model initial data. The model was tested for 2 years running by applying least square error method provided by spreadsheet application to reduce the initial value problem. The model showed a good result with Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency of 70.0. The model was then simulated for 5 years. Monthly streamflow which is model output was then analyzed. The ENSO impact was done by identifying SOI to the variability of rainfall and streamflow. The model result showed that during La-Niña year in 2000, streamflow decreased below normal. The situation remain question that need to be further investigated. During normal year from 2001 to 2004, streamflow was normal. However, during El-Niño year, the decreasing rainfall also have an effect on the decreasing of streamflow in Cisangkuy watershed. The result also showed that the correlation between climate anomaly Nino 3.4 and variability of rainfall and streamflow is significant with correlation coefficient of -0.69 and -0.30, respectively. The regression model was governed and was then utilized to predict the risk analysis in Cisangkuy watershed by using stochastic spreadsheet under Crystal Ball application.</text>
