The objectives of this research were: to determine of species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, distribution pattern of species, and species association. This research used the quadrat method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula and the determination of association was calculated using contingency table. Research on the use of expired blood as a medium of isolation and identification of Streptococcus pyogenes has been performed. Fungicides have been used for decade to control spoilage in conventional agriculture. It is generally known that long term use of chemical would harm the environment and bring resistance to organisms. Increasing public concern over the use of conventional fungicide due to health issues has prompted investigations to find alternative environmentally friendly control agent that might be used to suppress diseases development in storage.Ozone has been considered by researchers as an effective alternative to the use of traditional pesticides in food preservation because it leaves no residue on fresh produce so that safer to consumed.This work determined the effect of low level ozone exposure (180 ppb) on colony development and spores production of Rhizopus oryzae, R. stolonifer and R. microsporus var.chinensis in vitro. Two types of inocula were used, mycelial and spore, as both are responsible for spread of spoilage when stored with uncontaminated food. The tested fungi were stored in an ozone chamber at 7-8 oC for 14 days. Colony development was studied by measuring the colony diameter while spores production by time fungi was assed on the 14th day of the incubation period. Ozone exposure at 180 ppb has varied result on colony development and spore production on each species examined.Overall the work suggests that continuous low level of ozone exposure at 180 ppb for 14 days has different effect on different species depend on the ability each microorganism to counteract with ozone exposure. Research purposes to know the process of learning outcomes through the application process skills approach to the concept of plant movement. The approach used was qualitative descriptive approach types of Class Actions. This study used two cycles with four components, namely planning (planning), action (acting), observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). Subjects in this study were students in grade XI IPA 3 year 2009/2010 amounted to 30 people. The instrument used was the test at the end of each cycle. To find out the improvement process and the thoroughness of learning were used a percentage formula. Results showed that the average grade 77.67 80% completeness level of exam success cycle I. Cycle II gained an average grade of 72.17 with 86.67% completeness level. Students generally gave positive responses (attitudes agree) on learning. It is recommended that the application of process skills approach can be used on other concepts in the biology learning as one model that can enable student learning. The aims were to determine the student achievement and learning response as well as the different of student achievemnt  tought by inquiry method with concept maps. The population were students of Class X SMA Negeri 2 Sigli consisting of 227 pupils and  the samples were 35 students (experimental-group class) and 35 students (control-group class). Data of teaching learning type was collected throught observation. interview, and field data whereas student achievement collected by design and presentation of concept map, student worksheets, and final test. Data of student response in using the map was collected by questionnaire. The result showed that the value of t-count > t-table for student achievement which was 3,45 > 1,67 indicating  the method has affected the student achievement. The mean values of student responses were 3,73 (agree category) for positive qustions and 2,27 (uncentain category) for negative questions.
