Curcas L.)can be used for biodiesel material as an alternative to fossil fuels. One of the problems in the cultivation oft his plant is the existence of termite pest. The purpose of this research is to identify termites species that have destructive potencial  to castor plants in KIJP Pakuwon. The research was conducted from January to December 2009. As amount of 90 observed stations  installed in this area, then divided into three blocks with of each block contained 30 observed station.The distance between each observed station was 20 meters. The termites species that had been collected in every observed station then put in  bottles containing 70 percent ethanol and identified its characteristic at Insect Taxonomy Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection, Bogor Agricultural University. Research results showed a numbers of termites species that have potencial destruction to castor plants were Macrotermes sp., Schedorinotermes sp., Microtermes spand Odntotermes sp. Macrotermes sp. was the most dominant species in KIJP Pakuwon. Today, there are some tendencies that the knowledge of traditional Aceh food is declining. Various foreign and instant foods which enter Aceh are one of the tendency causes. The circumstance in Aceh which is not conducive makes many variety of plants in the forest are no longer use. The missing generation as an effect of earthquake and tsunami disaster happened in Aceh brings possibility of loosing knowledge of traditional Aceh food.This research aims to make a proposal of plants utilizing management as material of traditional Acehn food from local knowledge to be sustained for generations in Banda Aceh. It can be conducted in: (1) knowing the kinds of plants used for Aceh food by society. (2) Knowing the value and contribution of utilizing plants as traditional Aceh food for society. This research conducted from June to August 2005, continued in January until March 2006.The collecting of data conducted in two villages. They are in Lam Ara village in Banda Raya sub district and Darussalam village in Syiah kuala sub district. The technique of data collecting is with interview, intake of plants sample in field and field observation. Determining of responder conducted with the random stratification sampling method which is divided into three groups.Result of research indicate that there are 118 plant type consisted of 43 familia. Among 43 familia from plant used in traditional Aceh food, there are 5 familia which its use most often.  They are Fabaceae, Rutaceae, Solanaceae, Rubiaceae And Euphorbiaceae. Among plants used by society there are 16 kinds of plants have been generated intensively, 25 kinds are not intensively generated, 36 kinds is obtained from forest or wild nature. And 23 kinds of plant utilized come from outside area. This result is obtained from 51 kinds of Traditional Aceh food. The location of the study was divided into three stations, namely: the flow of rivers, hills, and mountains. The research method used in the research was explorative methods. Data were analyzed descriptively. Results showed that 19 species of epiphytic orchids were classified into 12 generas, namely: Aerides, Eria, Phaleonopsis, Dendrobium, Bulbophyllum, Cattleya, Vanda, Pholidata, Arachnis, Coelogyne, Oncidium and Cymbidium. Experimental design used was Complete Randomized Design (CRD), which consists of 5 (five) experimental groups, each group consist of three (3) rats, which is the group one used 12 months aged rats (K12), group 2 used 18 months aged rats (K18), group 3 used 24 months aged rats (K24), a group of 4 using 30 months aged rats (K30), groups of 5 using 36 months aged rats (K36). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas  dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sigli kabupaten Pidie pada bulan Februari- Mei Tahun 2014. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah “deskriptif development”.  Subyek  penelitian adalah  siswa SMA Negeri I Sigli kelas XI- IPA6 semester II Tahun 2013/2014 berjumlah 30 orang yang terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa butir-butir soal, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes hasil belajar dengan perlakuan dua siklus. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem respirasi kelas X1-IPA2 SMA Negeri I Sigli melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari skor dasar ke siklus 1 dan siklus II juga mengalami perubahan. Rata-rata hasil belajar meningkat dari 54 menjadi 70,50 dan 82,66. Jumlah siswa yang memenuhi KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) bertambah dari 3 siswa (10%) menjadi 19 siswa (63,33%) dan 26 siswa (90%). Pencapaian hasil belajar secara klasikal sudah melampaui 85% pada siklus ke II. Kondisi ini menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa telah berkategori tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap (Juni-Desember 2013) di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Unsyiah dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah struktur dan perkembangan tumbuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimental desain Pretest-posttest Control Group. Jumlah sampel 92 orang mahasiswa yang dikelompokkan dalam dua kelompok secara acak, yaitu kelompok eksperimen (perkuliahan penerapan peta konsep) dan kelompok kontrol (perkuliahan tidak menerapkan peta konsep). Untuk keperluan pengumpulan data dikembangkan sejumlah instrumen yang meliputi peta konsep standar, lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM), dan perangkat tes (objektif tes). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest dan. Data peningkatan hasil belajar diperoleh dengan menghitung skor gain ternormalisasi. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dilakukan uji beda dua rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi dengan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan peta konsep sebagai bentuk asesmen formatif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiwa dalam memahami konsep-konsep stuktur dan perkembangan tumbuhan. Pemberian  scaffolding,  umpan balik yang intensif serta kesempatan self  assessment  yang  diberikan  kepada  mahasiswa  memberikan dampak baik terhadap hasil belajar. Sebaliknya scaffolding, umpan balik dan kesempatan  self  assessment  tidak  diberikan menyebabkan hasil belajar yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh kadar air biji jagung dan laju pengumpanan pada  penggilingan menggunakan alat penggiling tipe disk mill terhadap mutu tepung jagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Varians faktorial yaitu rancangan acak kelompok faktorial. Diperoleh hasil bahwa kadar air berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kapasitas giling, rendemen, temperatur dan kadar air tepung jagung. Laju pengumpanan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kapasitas giling dan temperatur. Kadar air tepung jagung terjadi peningkatan pada perlakuan kadar air biji jagung 8% sedangkan untuk perlakuan kadar air biji jagung 13% dan 16% kadar air tepung mengalami penurunan. Temperatur jagung mengalami peningkatan setelah proses penggilingan. Rendemen tertinggi sebesar 82,96% dan kapasitas giling tertinggi sebesar 16,51 kg/jam. The population in the research was 409 housewives in the productive ages at Desa Rukoh. Purposive sampling was applied to gain 35% of sample from the population (144 housewives). Parameters of this study were knowledge, understanding, and awareness towards health reproduction. Data was gained from questionaires. Product-moment correlation was used to analyse the data. The result shows  r= 0,533 > rtable = 0,159 (N=144) at 5% significant level. This value indicated that there is a relationship between education level and housewives health reproduction knowledge at desa Rukoh Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh.
