This study aims to determine the effect of cutting and way of giving proper rootone F and the presence or absence of interaction between the two factors under study on the growth of cutting roses. The research was conducted in the Village of Blang Cut, District Leung Bata, Banda Aceh, the ongoing since August – October 2006. This research used randomized block design factorial pattern of 3x4 with 3 replications. The result showed that the materials have strong cuttings of shoot number of age 60 days after transplanting (DAT), the number of compound leaves per shoot, number of roots and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in cutting edge treatment material (S3) Treatment rootone F shows that the effect is very significant effect on the number of shoots age 60 DAT, the number of compound leaves, number of root and root length HST age 80, the best result encountered in the treatment of flour (R2). There is significant interaction on the number of compound leaves per shoot, root length and number of root age 80 DAT, the best interaction was obtained at S3R2 combination treatment. Researches of temperature effect on plant have yet to provide obvious results of how leaf temperature and media temperature differs plant growth. The research of objectives are to study effects of water temperature irrigated to media and water temperature sprayed to the leaves on chili seedling growth. Completely randomized block design was used in the research. The factor studied were water temperature for watering media and water temperature for spraying seedling leaves. The result showed that water temperature for spraying seedling leaves significantly affected all variables observed, including seedling height, seedling diameter, leaf size, wet weight of seedling, wet weight of the roots, dried weigh of seedling, and dried weigh of the roots. Water temperature for watering media did not significantly affect all variables observed. There were significant interactions between water temperature for watering media and water temperature for spraying seedling leaves on seedling diameter and leaf size. Water temperature of 120C for watering media in combination with normal water temperature for spraying seedling leaves was the best treatment combination, while water temperature of 120C for watering media in combination with 120C water temperature for spraying seedling leaves was the worst treatment. The research was to find the effect of  planting distance and some varieties on intercropping system of sweet corn and kidney beans to improve growth and   yield.  The experimental design was Complete Block Randomized with two factors and two replications. The first factor was planting distance between rows of sweet corn intercropping system (J1=60cmx30cm; J2=80cmx30cm; J3=100cmx30cm).  Then the second factor was variety (V1= Kumala F1; V2= King Sweet F1; V3=Super Bee). The results indicated that the best planting distance on intercropping some varieties of sweet corn and kidney bean was 100cmx30cm for sweet corn and 80cmx30cm and 100cmx30cm for kidney bean. The varieties treatment showed that the best variety of sweet corn was Super Bee and kidney bean was King Sweet F1. There was significantly different interaction between planting distance and varieties on intercropping system of sweet and kidney bean on the corn husk weight of sweet corn. The aims of this research were to estimate the correlation coefficient among agronomic traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya and evaluate the direct and indirect effects of those traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya. The result showed that fruit length, flesh thickness, percent symptoms had positive correlation to severity disease and dry of fruit ripe, percent TSS, flesh fimness had negative correlation to severity disease. Penelitian sebelumnya telah mengungkapkan bahwa daun bendera padi gogo pada kondisi naungan berkorelasi positif dengan hasil. Namun hubungan antara daun bendera dan pertumbuhan serta hasil pada berbagai genotipe padi gogo pada kondisi tanpa naungan masih perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi perbedaan avrietas dari karakter daun bendera berbagai genotipe padi gogo yang berhubungan dengan pertumbuhan dan hasil serta menghitung korelasi antara karakter daun bendera dan kompoenen pertumbuhan maupun hasil yang nantinya digunakan sebagai indikator seleksi hasil tinggi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sukoharjo, Tanggamus mulai awal oktober 2002 sampai dengan akhir Maret 2003 dengan menggunakan 18 genotipe padi gogo. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa TB 165-TB-6 mempunyai luas daun bendera dan ukuran biji tertinggi, yaitu berturut-turut 53,1 cm-2 dan 34,3 g/1000 butir. Sebailknya, genotipe dodokan mempunyai luas daun kecil, yaitu 25,8 cm2 dan menunjukkan ukuran biji yang kecil, yaitu 25,7 g/1000 butir. Kondisi ini secara tidak langsung menunjukkan bahwa luas daun bendera berkorelasi positif dengan ukuran biji, yaitu r= 0,31**. Luas daun bendera juga menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan bobot kering batang yaitu r=0,23**. Hal ini berarti bahwa daun bendera mempunyai peran yang penting untuk mengalokasikan fotosintat ke bagian biji. Oleh karena itu, perbedaan varietas untuk daun bendera akan bermanfaat digunakan sebagai indikator seleksi ukuran biji pada padi gogo. The basic knowledge about mango resistance of trunk bore in the field and laboratory is early step to make mango resistance breeding. The result of research could be positive correlation between resistance character and commercial character. The research consisted two parts, survey of varieties of mango on field and the resistance test of trunk borer of mango on laboratory. The survey was done by characterization of mango varieties on Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh. The laboratory research was held by varieties of mango (Arumanis, Gadung, Golek, Cengkeh, Apel and Local) the test of resistance of trunk borer of mango. All treatment was assigned in Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The observation was done on characterization of mango varieties, percent of damage, damage index, insect identification and soluble solids contents. This result showed that there are six varieties of mango (Arumanis, Cengkeh, Gadung, Apel, Golek and Local (cengkir) has be found on Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Percent damage of trunk borer of mango on Aceh Besar (50-100%) and intensity of damage (10-60%). Percent damage (0-100%) and intensity of damage (0-30%) on Banda Aceh is Lower than Aceh Besar. The soluble solid contents of mature fruit of Golek, Gadung, Cengkeh and Arumanis 13.90-15.68 0brix) higher than Apel and Local (11.54 and 12.72 0brix). The aim study is to determine the pattern of ground water seepage on peatland pore into the channel or leave the water seepage discharge channels and to know in order to support the reduction in peat puddles. Suatu penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui varietas dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat, serta untuk mengetahui interaksi kedua faktor tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 3x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Ada 2 faktor yang diteliti yaitu varietas (Permata, Montero dan Niki) dan pupuk organik cair (0,5; 1,5; dan 2,5 cc L-1 air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap  tinggi tanaman umur 15, 30 dan 45 HST, jumlah bunga per tandan umur 37 HST, jumlah buah per tanaman umur  57 HST dan total bobot buah per tanaman. Pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik diperoleh  pada varietas Niki. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang umur 15 HST dan total bobot buah per tanaman. Pertumbuhan dan hasil  terbaik diperoleh pada penggunaan pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus 0,5 cc L-1 air. Tidak terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara varietas dan  konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Enviro Plus terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat.The Using of Liquid Organic Fertilizers on Growth and Yield of Three Varieties of Tomato (Lycopersicum Esculentum L.)ABSTRACT. The study was  to determine the variety and concentration of Enviro Plus (liquid organic fertilizer) that have best  growth and yield of tomatoes, and as well as  interaction of both factors. Randomized Block  Design was used with pattern 3x3 factorial with three replications. There were two factors, varieties (Permata, Montero and Niki) and concentration of  Enviro Plus (0.5, 1.5, and 2.5 cc L-1) of water. The results showed that the varieties  had significant  effect on plant height umur 15, 30 and 45 day after planting (DAP) , the number of flowers per stalk at age  37 DAP, the number of fruits per plant age 57 DAP and a total weight of fruit per plant. The best growth and yield found on Niki varieties. Concentration of  Enviro Plus that have significantly affect on stem diameter and the at age  15 DAP, total weight of fruit per plant. The best growth and yield found at concentration of Enviro Plus  0.5 cc L-1 of water). There were no significant  interaction effect between variety and concentration of Enviro Plus   on growth and yield of tomato.
