<text>ABSTRAK. Setiap perubahan 1% luas lahan terbuka menjadi lahan perkebunan sawit menyebabkan penurunan terhadap aliran permukaan dan laju erosi berturut-turut sebesar 0.2 dan 0.6%.Predicting Runoff and Erosion Rate from Krueng Jreu Subwatershed Using SWAT ModelABSTRACT. The yield of surface runoff and erosion from Krueng Jreu Subwatershed (SDKJ) Aceh Besar were predicted using SWAT model. In this study, impact of precipitation and land use change on surface runoff and erosion were also investigated. Change in precipitation was simulated by increasing 5, 10, 15, and 20% of precipitation while change in land use was simulated by converting 5, 10, 15, and 20% of existing short grass area into palm oil plantation. Model calibration was performed by comparing simulated and observed discharge. Calibration result suggested that model has good performance with ENS = 0.71; R2 = 0.77 and PBIAS = 6.30. Erosion rate highly depends on surface runoff, the more surface runoff the higher rate of erosion. Increasing 1% of precipitation produced an increase in 2.4% of surface runoff and 2.3% of erosion rate. Converting 1% of short grass area into palm oil plantation caused a decrease in surface runoff and erosion rate by 0.2% and 0.6%, respectively.</text>

<text>The Crop Growth Rate and Yield of Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) of Granola Variety Under Applying Earthworms Castings and Inoculants of Arbuscular MycorrhizaeABSTRACT. This study intends to identify the crop growth rate and yield of potato at the application earthworms castings and inoculants arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM). Using randomized block design with dual factorial. First factor was the application the earthworm castings with four levels of treatment, that are 0, 100, 200, and 300 gram casting per plants-1, respectively. Second was inoculants arbuscular mycorrhizae with four levels too, they are 0, 2.5, 5, and 7.5 gram per plant-1. Application of earthworm castings was conducted three days before planting, while mycorrhizae was performed at the time of cultivation. Crop growth rate increased with augmented age from 38-68 days after planting (dap) and then declined at 78-88 dap. The highest rate (0,0055 gr cm-2 day-1) occurred at the treatment by 300 g plant-1 and inoculants with AM 7.5 g plant-1 at age of 67 dap. The application of the organic fertilizer (earthworm castings) 300 g per plant-1 and AM inoculants 5 g plant-1give the highest productivity.</text>

The objective of this experiment was to study effect of age transplanting seedling and NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration on cacao seedlings growth and to know interaction of the two factors. The experiment used randomized block design with factorial pattern. There were 2 factors that studied. First factor was age transplanting seedlings: age transplanting seedling 14, 21, and 28 days after seedling. Second factor was NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration: 0.5; 1; 1.5; 2; and 2.5 ml/l water. The result showed that the best of cacao seedling growth on age transplanting seedling 21 days after seedling and NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration 2,0 ml/l water. There was not significantly interaction between age transplanting seedlings with NASA liquid organic fertilizer concentration on all cacao seedling growth variables that studied.</text>

<text>Recommendation of Potassium Fertilizer Site Specific for Rice PlantABSTRACT. Fertilizer use efficiency is changing greatly depending on soil properties, fertilizer type, irrigation and level of intensive cultivation. A site specific potassium (K) experiment was conducted to formulate the fertilizer recommendation of K for rice plant in different K soil status. The objective of this research were to select a proper soil test method, classify the soil test value of K into two or more classes and fertilizer recommendation of K to rice plant. In this study it was found that the method of NH4OAc 1N pH 7 was the best technique for soil analysis. Based on the method, there are 3 available classes of K i.e. low, medium, and high. The soil with the highest availability of K does not require fertilizing with K, because it has been fulfilled by the water irrigation and straw. The fertilizer recommendation of K for rice plant at medium class is less than low class.</text>

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of sucrose concentration and activated charcoal on the growth shoot and root in vitro and ex vitro of nilam Aceh (Pogostemon cablin Benth.). Explants for this study were ±1 cm in length with 4 leaf, which were derived from sterile shoot culture. The treatment for were cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with sucrose and activated charcoal. The treatment for this study was the concentration of activated charcoal consisting of three levels: 0 (0%), 10 (1%), 20 (2%), 30 (3%), 40 g L-1 (0.2%). Sucrose concentration of 3% without activated charcoal resulted in the good response based on the number of axillary shoots (2,22 shoots per explants), the length of shoot (5,05 cm), the number of leaf (17,76 leaves per explants), the green leaf level (23,01), the survival shoot (93,33%), the number of root (15,33 root per explants) and the length of root (1,23 cm).</text>

<text>Soil the Salinization with Some Use Ameliorance and Washing to Rehabilitating Land Affected by Water and Sediment Mud of Sea Effect of TsunamiABSTRACT. The aim of the research is to find ameliorant and the amount water use to leach the salt from the soil. The research was conducted with (1) to analyzed the soil sample, water that used for leach, and leached from leaching soil and (2) to set up and pot experiment by using maize as plant indicator. The plant is fertilized by adding urea, SP 36 and KCl with normal doses. This research set up by factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors, that is 3 types of ameliorant and 5 levels of leach soil. The result data was processed with analysis of variance and then to differentiate mean among each treatment and its interaction using Duncan Multiple Range Test at level 0,05. The result of this research showed that the effect of ameliorant for soil desalinization is significantly different to electroconductivity (ECe), the content of Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, SO4--, and Cl- ions of the leached, and to the maize height at 15, 30, 45 days after planting, dry cob weight, dry seed weight, and 100 dry maize seed weight. While treatment of leaching of soil significantly different to pH, and the others is the same with affected by ameliorant except for the data of the plant. While the effect of interaction treatment also significantly different to pH, electroconductivity (ECe) the content of Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, SO4--, and Cl- ions of the leached, and to the maize height at 15, 30, 45 days after planting, dry cob weight, dry seed weight, and 100 dry maize seed weight. Eventhough gypsum give a good result in this experiment but due to the difficulty to get this material it is recommended to use limestone+manure as ameliorant for desalinization of salted soil and to leach the soil can utilize P4 (4xLR) temporarily. Then in order to know the correct doses for desalinization of salted soil hence require to be done the further research use limestone+manure and combine by adding amount and frequency of irrigate leach. </text>

<text>The Effect of Lamtorogung Manure (Leucaena leucocephala) and Planting Spacing on Growth and Yield of Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)ABSTRACT. The aim of this study was to find out the effect of dosages of lamtorogung manure and planting spacing, and interaction between them, on both growth and yield of tomatoes. Treatments were arranged by Factorial Completely Randomized Block Design 3 x 3 with 3 replications. Factors evaluated  were dosage of lamtorogung manure (15, 25 and 35 ton ha-1) and planting spacing (50 cm x 60 cm,  50 cm x 70 cm and 50 cm x 80 cm). Variables observed were the height of plant and diameter of the lower end of stem  at 15, 30 and 45 days after planting, the number of fruits per plant  (3 times harvest), the weight of fruits per plant, and diameter of fruit. The result of the study indicated  that dosage of lamtorogung manure of 25 ton ha-1 was the best for the highest tomato yield, and planting spacing of 50 cm x 80 cm was the best for both plants growth and yield. There was no interaction between both treatments towards growth and yield.</text>

<text>Weed-Crop Growth Analysis and Yield of Corn with Groundnut and Mungbean of Varying Plant Population in Intercropping SystemABSTRACT. The present experiment is designed to evaluated the weed-crop growth of intercrop between corn with mungbean and groundnut of varying plant populations. The experimental used the single factor field experiment that arranged with randomized completely block design with three block as replication. Intercropping followed additive series system, i.e.: (A) corn 100% + mungbean 25%, (B) corn 100% + mungbean 50%, (C) corn 100% + mungbean 75%, (D) corn 100% + groundnut 25%, corn 100% + groundnut 50%, (F) corn 100% + groundnut 75%. Experimental result showed that: Intercropping corn with groundnut and mungbean of able to weed growth suppressed of sedges, and Intercropping crop with groundnut at 75% rate of recommended population weed growth suppressed of total weeds compared to the other three mungbean populations. Intercropping corn with groundnut at 25% of recommended rate gave the highest sweet corn yield per hectare.</text>

<text>Growth Characteristic and Yield of Four Varieties of Soybean Under Different Dosage of Bokhasi in Inland Peat SoilABSTRACT. The purpose of this research was to study the effect of various rate of bokhasi on growth characteristic and yield of four varieties of soybean in inland peat soil. Experiment was carried out at Agriculture Faculty Experiment Station of Palangkaraya University, from Mei to September 2005, Experiment used was randomized completely design of factorial pattern with two factors, that is: variety (Wilis, Baluran, Anjasmoro, and Sibayak); bokhasi (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 ton ha-1). Result of the experiment showed that Anjasmoro variety more adaptive in inland peat soil and gave the good responses to bokhasi than Wilis, Baluran, and Sibayak. Net Assimilation Rate (NAR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR) increased as affected by bokhasi until 15 ton ha-1. On the other hand, application of 15 and 20 ton ha-1 bokhasi gave highest yield, that is 4,87-5,13 g per plant.</text>
