Pemberian pupuk 15N secara terpisah dan injeksi pada kedalam yang berbeda meningkatkan 15N yang terdeteksi di dalam tanah dan didalam tanaman. Rata-rata dugaan %Ndfa tanaman Gliricidia menggunakan atom% 15N yang terdeteksi di daun adalah 57.3±4.2 (rentang dari 44.9 hingga 68.7%) and 52.8±5.7% (38.5 – 67.7%), dengan cacao dan kopi sebagai reference. Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang nyata antara waktu dan saat pengamatan pada pendugaan %Ndfa antara kedua reference. The effects of vertical mulch applications on erosion control and run-off, also soil properties and fertility on citrus cultivations at hill slope had been done in July to November, 2007 in buffer zone of Gunung Leuser National Park, Rumah Galuh Village, Sei Bingei Sub-district, Langkat district, with 560 meters altitude, and 22,5% land slope. Two vertical mulch application are: vertical mulch having the same aim with contour line, and ring vertical mulch. The conservations methods were studied are pile having the same aim with contour line, pile ring, ring of mulch in gunny-sack. Two control experiments are: horizontal mulch application, and without mulch application. These result are: vertical mulch applications could control erosion and run-off and affected physical and chemical soil properties better than horizontal mulch application. The best of conservation methods application where controlling erosion and and run-off are contour pile and mulch in gunny-sack, and affected on soil physical and biological properties are ring vertical mulch, but for affecting soil chemical properties are mulch in gunny-sack. Perlakuan pada penelitian 1 dan 2 disusun secara faktorial dalam rancangan acak kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama berupa naungan dengan menggunakan paranet hitam dua taraf yaitu 0% dan 50%, sedangkan faktor kedua berupa genotip padi gogo yang meliputi Jatiluhur, B9048C, TB177E, Batutegi, Kalimutu, dan Limboto. Naungan diberikan selama fase pertumbuhan vegetatif dan selama masa pertumbuhan tanaman (fase vegetatif dan reproduktif). Trichoderma sp. has been considered by researchers as an effective alternative to the use of traditional fungicides in conventional agriculture because it leaves no residue both on plant and soil. This work determined the affectivity of T. harzianum and T. virens to control R. solani on seedling of C. annum. The experiment was carried out at Plant Disease Laboratorium and  Experiment Field Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University from March to June 2011. The experiment was arranged in the randomized complete design using 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were; Control, dosage of T. harzianum 30 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 45 g plant-1, dosage of T. virens 30 g plant-1, dosage of T. virens 45 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 15 g + T. virens 15 g plant-1, dosage of T. harzianum 22,5 g + T. virens 22,5 g plant-1. Farmer cultivated mixed-varieties of arabica coffee in an area. As result no specific tasted for specific variety found. This result aims to observe the best coffee to be recommended for various altitude cultivation. There are nine altitude variations, 100 m interval from 700 to 1600 m above sea level (asl). For each internal altitude, coated-red coffee been harvested at farmers coffee farms at almost the same management and growth. The variables of arabica coffee bean quality physically observed were coated-red raw bean, coffee beans, coffee quality , beans passed on various filters, bean shape and tasted. The result showed that arabica coffee bean quality physically is getting better till 1400 m asl and then tends to decrease the quality till 1600 m asl as shown in export quality percentages, no passed at 7.50 mm filter, the percentage of normal beans, and tasted scores. However for coated-red raw asl. In contrast, floating coated-bean, floating bean and normal beans is decrease. Catimor Jaluk Variety of coffee arabica is suitable for all altitudes observed, followed by arabusta, Lini-S, Bergendal, and USDA. To avoid the dissimilarity of specific taste to highland arabica coffee, the varieties could be extended at different areas even though the same altitude. The objective of this research was to compare the quality of milk taken from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husk and grass with standard of milk quality according Standard National Indonesia (SNI 01-3141 -1998) at Kebon Pedas Dairy ifarm Bogor, and to examine the content of pesticide residues in milk. Nine sample of milk, with three sample from dairy farm that used corn husks as roughages, three sample from dairy farm that use grass and three other from dairy farm that use mix of corn husks and grass were used in this research. Pesticide residues in milk were observed as research variable. Descriptive statistical analysis was used in this research. The result showed that negative result of pesticides residues of milk from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husks and grass. Two treatments - FA-CM mixture (w/w of 1:1) at the rate of 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 ton ha-1, and P fertilization at the rate of 0, 87, 174, 261 and 348 kg P2O5 ha-1 were tested.  These treatments were arranged according to Factorial Completely Random Design with three replicates. The results showed that the application of FA-CM for each dosages of P fertilizer correlated significantly with the status of soils PZC, pH, negative charge, P sorption and P-available. PZC has possitive correlation with pH and negative charge. Negative charge has a significantly negative correlation with P sorption, and posssitively correlation with P-available. Tsunami caused soil degradation and plant productivity. Inoculation of arbuscule mycorrhizae fungi (AMF) and manure were the methods which are able to improve soil quality. Soil biology properties was a parameter that can be used to assess the quality of a land. The objective of this study were to evaluate some properties of soil biology in the tsunami-affected land influence by AMF and manure. This experiment was conducted to Randomized Block Design with three replications. The results showed that the treatment affecting some soil biology properties was inoculation of AMF. This inoculation had highly significant effect on phosphate solubilizing microorganisms, significant effect on total microbial population, fungi, bacteria, and celulolytic microorganisms, whereas their activity were not affected significantly. Crop productivity is strongly influenced from the seed which will produce plants vigor and healthy. Efforts to get a healthy cacao seedling and various treatments which required strong support in creating an optimal environment to grow. One of these efforts is to use the potential of soil microorganisms endemic in growing media through the application of bio-activator (microorganisms) of land. This study aims to determine how and concentration of appropriate gifts in order to obtain good growth of cocoa seedlings and to determine whether there is linkage between these two factors tested. The design used was randomized block design with factorial pattern. 3x3 and 3 replications, so there are 27 units experiment. There are two factors studied, namely the factor for granting the solution of EM-4 (C) consist of 3 levels, and concentration factor of EM-4 (K) consisting of 3 levels. The result showed that the influence of the method of solution of EM-4 is only significant effect on high-added cocoa seedling age of 60 and 70 DAT. The way of EM-4 is best through the soil only. While on the other variables had no significant effect. While the EM-4 solution concentration significantly affected the height increment of seedling of cocoa age of 70 DAT. The best concentration of EM-4 was 5 ml/l of water. In addition to higher seed, the concentration tested did not significantly effect other variables. There was no significant interaction between the route of administration with a concentration of EM-4 for all variables observed the growth of cocoa seedling.
