The objective of this study were to investigate several varieties and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth at the yield of peanut of the tsunami affected area and also to identify the interaction between the two factors. The research was conducted at the Lamnyong river flood plain which is located at west sector of Komplek Pelajar Mahasiswa (KOPELMA) Darussalam – Banda Aceh from March to Mei 2009. Randomized completely block design with two factor was used on this experiment using three replications. The first factor was peanut variety (i.e. Singa, Kuala Batee and Tangse), and the second factors was Super Bionik fertilizer concentrations (i.e. 0 cc; 0.9 cc; 1,8 cc /225cc). The variety significantly influenced the plants height on 45 days after planting, the amount of ginofore, the plant wet weight, and 100 seed weight, however the variety not significantly influenced other parameters (i.e. the amount of the branches at 45 days after planting, the total pods, and the amount of full pod). The result showed that Super Bionic concentrations not significantly influenced all parameters observed, and no interactions between the variety and the fertilizer concentration occurred on the parameters observed. Analisis perubahan musim dilakukan dengan membandingkan data curah hujan bulanan antara periode 2000 – 2009 dan 1990 – 1999, yang dipisahkan oleh musim kemarau, musim hujan, dan periode transisi dengan menggunakan Beda Nyata Terkecil yang dikoreksi dengan kriteria oldeman. Penentuan potensi waktu tanam diawali dengan analisis neraca air lahan dengan menggunakan metode Thornwaite dan Mather, yang disesuaikan dengan periode waktu tanam dengan kandungan lengas tanah >50% dari air tersedia. Analisis perubahan musim menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perubahan musim kemarau dan hujan selama periode 2000 – 2009 dibandingkan dengan 1990 – 1999, namun ada pergeseran pada awal musim kemarau dari bulan Juni menjadi Mei dengan durasi 4 bulan. Untuk pola dan waktu tanam, dari 4 kecamatan sentra produksi padi yang ditinjau potensi masa tanamnya antara 4 bulan – 4,25 bulan dengan awal waktu tanam jatuh awal bulan Oktober. Pola tanam yang dianjurkan apabila tidak tersedia irigasi adalah padi pada awal musim tanam pertama dan palawija musim tanam kedua.Analysis of Season Changes and Development of Paddy Planting Pattern Based on Rainfall Data in Aceh BesarABSTRACT. Climate is one of the most important factor to the success of agriculture production. Climate variability such as season change, lack or excess of water, are some examples of climate factor which limit agriculture production in the tropics. This research conducted to analyze the changes and duration of dry season, rain season, and transition period, and develop pattern and planting time of rice crop base on rainfall data analysis. Season change analysis conducted by comparing monthly rainfalls data between 2000-2009 period and 1990-1999 period, where the splitting of dry season, rain season and transition period conducted with LSD (Least Significant Difference), corrected with Oldeman’s criteria. Planting time potency assumed by Thornwaite and Mather water balance analysis approachment, and it is set up that the planting time period is the water holding capacity >50% from available water. The season change analysis showed that there is no change to dry and rain season duration on 2000-2009 period compared to 1990-1999 period, but there is shifting in dry season beginning from June to May with 4 months constant duration. The best planting pattern and planting time, from 4 subdistrict of rice crop main production observed, planting time potency between 4 to 4,25 month with planting time at the beginning of October. Without irrigation, planting pattern suggested is rice crop at the beginning of growing periods and palawija at the end of growing periods. Recently, the use of bio-pesticides significantly increases to control some plant diseases due to the drawback of chemical pesticides to environment. Some experiment have been done to evaluate the effectiveness of some vegetable oil as bio-pesticides to inhibit the colony growth of pepper seed born pathogens in vitro. Various concentrations of vegetable oil were added onto potato dextrose agar medium (PDA), afterward, the growth of pathogen colony in treatment was compared to control (medium without vegetable oil). Evaluation was done in certain period time depend on the growth of every pathogen colony Among the vegetable soil tested, clove oil and Andropogon nardus oil showed a very high inhibitory effect to colony growth of P. capsici, C. capsici, F. oxyporum, R solani, and S. rolfsii. Concentration 0.01% of those oil already inhibited the colony growth of all pathogens more than 75%, with the exception of A. nardus oil which required 0.03% to inhibit C. capsici colony. Concentration of clove and A. nardus oil above 0.01% completely inhibited growth of all pathogens colonies, except for F. oxyporum. Meanwhile, others vegetable oil like Curcuma xanthorrhiza, Kaempferia galangal, Kaempferia pandurata, and Curcuma domestica oil have a low inhibitory effect on growth of all pathogens colonies. To get inhibitory effect more than 75% on the growth of colonies, those vegetable oil needed concentration higher than 0.02%. However, K. galangal and C. domestica required 0.02% oil concentration for P. capsici and S. rolfsii, respectively. The application or the system of rice intensifications (SRI), including seedling and optimalizations and cock secretion fertilizer (CSF) were done. The treatment aim to know the local production level in heavy wet tropic region. The research was conducted in Limau Manis, aside the campus of Andalas University, from July to December 2005 used var. Cisokan. The spilt plot design was applied in the research. The fertilizers were applied according to the recommended 200kg Urea, 200kg SP-36, 150kg KCl. The research variables are plant growth rate, net assimilation ratio, leaf area index, leaf area ratio, shoot/root ratio, tiller number, water use efficiency, and evaporating/ transpiration ratio. The research conclude that the higher the CSF input, the higher the plant vegetative growth. Besides, there were found no different response of 1 to 2 applied seedling, as well as 7 days to 14 days applied seedling with the input. Gaertn. on Some Density to Growth and Yield of SoybeanABSTRACT .The aim of research was known the effects of weed density of Synedrella nodiflora on growth and yield of soybean. The research was conducted in Experimental Farm Agriculture Faculty, University of Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh since March up to June 2011. The experimental design was Randomized Completely Design non factorial with five treatments of weed density. Weed density were: 0; 2; 4; 6; and 8 per polybag. Pengaruh suhu merupakan hal yang penting dalam mengamati hasil interaksi serangga inang dengan parasitoid, terutama dalam menentukan tingkat keberhasilan perkembangan parasotoid tersebut. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perubahan suhu terhadap interaksi inang dan parasitoid, telah dilakukan penelitian di laboratorium terhadap parasitoid Venturia canescens (Gravenhorst) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) dan inangnya, Plodia interpunctella (Hubner) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae). Gradien suhu 28-240C; 28-260C;  dan 28-280C digunakan dalam suatu sistem terdiri dari instar V P. interpunctella yang telah diparasit oleh V. canescens. Penggunaan gradient suhu yang berbeda dalam penelitian ini berarti perubahan suhu dari 280C, dimana serangga parasitoid dibiakkan sebelumnya ke suhu yang lebuih rendah, yaitu 24 dan 260C. Serangga inang yang digunakan dalam percobaan ini merupakan biakkan yang telah mapan pada suhu rendah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa begaian inang yang terparasit berhasil menjadi imago parasitoid V. canescens. Gradien suhu yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah imago parasitoid yang muncul dan tingkat enkapsulasi. Waktu perkembangan yang dibutuhkan parasitoid meningkat secara signifikan dengan menurunnya gradient suhu. Dibutuhkan waktu 26,76 hari dan 22,96 hari bagi parasitoid untuk berkembang pada gradient suhu 28-240C dan 28-260C, dibandingkan hanya 21,20 hari pada suhu konstan 28-280C. Perubahan suhu dari 28 ke 240C, dan dari 28 ke 260C meningkatkan tubuh parasitoid sampai 1,54 dan 1,52 mm, dibandingkan dengan 1,47 mm pada suhu 28-280C. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa parasitoid V. canescens dapat berkembang dengan baik pada gradient suhu yang lebih rendah selama interaksi dengan inang P. interpunctella, mengikuti serangga inang yang terlebih dahulu sudah mapan pada suhu rendah yang sama. Phosphor, a macro element, is often a problem especially in tropical regions not only because its content in soil but also its availability. This problem also occurred at tsunami-affected land. Both micorrhizae and organic matter able to improve soil quality, include by improving nutrient status of soil. The aim of this work were to examine the effect of AM fungi and organic matter on availability of soil P and N and P uptake of maize at the tsunami-affected land. This work was arranged in Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replication. The results were both AMF inoculation and organic matter affected the availability of soil P not significantly. The dry weight of upper crop and P uptake of maize were influenced by interaction of these treatments high significantly while the dry weight of root was affected significantly. Cauliflower plants in great demand, so the development of aquaculture should be developed to obtain the desired quality and quantity. The purpose of this study is to determine the concentration of NASA's Liquid Organic fertilizers and plant growth regulator Hormonik proper growth and yield of cauliflower. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Faculty of Agriculture University of Syiah Kuala Darussalam Banda Aceh, Seed Varieties used were obtained from the CV Hoggar. Aria Enterprises Banda Aceh, the foliar fertilizer used was NASA Liquid Organic fertilizers and plant growth regulator produced Hormonik PT. Natural Nusantara Indonesia. The soil used in soil types Entisol top soil from the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. There are two factors that investigated the concentration of NASA's Liquid Organic fertilizers are composed of three levels: 2, 4 and 6 cc l-1 water, and plant growth regulators Hormonik which consists of three levels: 1, 2 and 3 cc l-1 water. Variable which observed were plant height, leaf number, stem diameter at the age of 21, 35 and 49 days after planting, and the wet weight berangkasan, flower weight were observed at harvest 60 days after planted. Result of study showed that the combination of concentration and NASA Liquid Organic fertilizers Hormonik growth regulator that shows growth  and better results were found at a concentration of 4 cc l-1 water  of liquid organic fertilizer Nasa and 2 cc / l water of growth regulators hormonik.
